1 Identifier
The module identifier NSQM5MBSHA1 is in the upper right corner of the front panel.
2 About the module
The NSQM5MBSHA1 interface switch module is developed for H3C SecPath M9000-AI multiservice
security gateways. It provides two subcard slots. Working in conjunction with an M9000-AI interface
switch module, it meets 100G network requirements and can greatly enhance the security capability
of the device.

4 Installing or removing the module
4.1 Installing the module
1. Face the front panel of the device and remove the filler panel from the target slot.
2. Pivot the ejector levers down to the horizontal position, fully open the ejector levers, and then
gently push the module into the slot along the guide rails.
3. Pivot the ejector levers to the left until the module makes close contact with the backplane.
4. Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten the captive screws on the module.
5. Close the ejector levers on the module.

4.2 Removing the module
1. Pivot the ejector levers down to the horizontal position.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the module until all pressure is
released.
3. Simultaneously open the ejector levers on the module to separate the module from the
backplane, and then pull the module slowly out of the slot along the guide rails.
4. Place the module on an anti-static workbench or put it in an anti-static bag.
5. If you are not to install a new module, install a filler panel in the slot to prevent dust and ensure
good ventilation.
