PRODUCT DATA AND MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
The Honeywell IF-LON2 LONWORKS® Interface can be used
to connect Honeywell controllers (via their USB port) with
LONWORKS ® networks.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
All wiring must comply with local electrical codes and
ordinances or as specified on installation wiring diagrams.
IF-LON2 network wiring can be sized from 1.5 to 0.34 mm2,
depending on the application. The maximum length of wire
from the Honeywell controller to the IF-LON2 is 0.5 m.
CAUTION
EMI Noise Introduction. Risk of erratic system
operation.
Keep wiring at least 300 mm away from large induc-
tive loads such as motors, line starters, lighting
ballasts and large power distribution panels. During
installations, try to avoid areas of high EMI noise.
Run IF-LON2 wiring separately from 50 Vac or greater
power wiring.
WARNING / CAUTION
Risk of electric shock or equipment damage!
►Disconnect the power supply before making connections
to or removing connections from the IF-LON2’s terminals.
►Do not reconnect the power supply until you have com-
pleted the installation.
►Observe precautions for handling electrostatic sensitive
devices.
INSTALLATION
The delivery comes complete with the following parts:
IF-LON2 LONWORKS®Interface;
USB cable (0.5 meter long);
These Product Data and Mounting Instructions (MU1B-
0545GE51).
Software Installation
Beginning with controller firmware version 4.01.00, the
necessary driver software is already installed on the
Honeywell controller.
You can test the proper functioning of the IF-LON2 with your
PC. To do so, proceed as follows:
Download and install OPENLDV 5.00.
Connect the IF-LON2 to your PC's USB port.
Go to "Control Panel" and open "LonWorks interfaces."
RESULT: The IF-LON2 will be displayed as "U60 Network
Interface."
Click on "Wink" and then on "Test." RESULT: "Network
Interface Node Status" will be displayed.

Hardware Installation
Using the supplied USB cable, connect the IF-LON2 Interface
to the designated USB-Client port of the Honeywell controller
(see Fig. 1).
NOTE: In performing this action, it is not necessary to
remove the Honeywell controller from power.

Mounting
The IF-LON2 Interface is suitable for DIN rail mounting:

1. Angle the IF-LON2 at the upper edge of the DIN rail.
2. Swing the IF-LON2 down and apply gentle force until it
snaps into position with an audible "click."
3. If desired, mount stoppers at the ends of the rail to
prevent sliding.

ALLGEMEINES
Mit dem Honeywell IF-LON2 LONWORKS® Schnittstellen-
konverter lassen sich Honeywell Regler (über deren USB-
Schnittstelle) mit LONWORKS ® Netzwerken verbinden.
VOR DER INSTALLATION
Die Verdrahtung muß nach den gültigen Vorschriften und den
Anschlußplänen durchgeführt werden.
Je nach Applikation können Aderquerschnitte von 1,5 bis 0,34
mm2verwendet werden. Der max. Abstand zwischen Regler
und IF-LON2 beträgt 0,5 m.
ACHTUNG
Elektromagnetische Störspannungen. Gefahr von
Funktionsstörungen.
Bei der Verkabelung muß ein Mindestabstand von 300
mm zu großen induktiven Lasten wie Motoren,
Leistungschützen, Drosseln usw. eingehalten werden.
Bei der Installation sind Bereiche mit hohen mag-
netischen Feldstärken zu vermeiden.
Die Verkabelung nicht parallel zu spannungs-
führenden Leitungen mit mehr als 50 Vac ausführen!

Gefahr von Geräteschäden oder Personenverletzung!
►Vor Verdrahtung das Gerät von der Spannungs-
versorgung trennen.
►Spannungsversorgung nicht wiederherstellen, bevor
Installation abgeschlossen ist.
►Handhabungsvorschriften für elektrostatisch gefährdete
Bauelemente beachten.
INSTALLATION
Die Lieferung beinhaltet folgende Bestandteile:
IF-LON2 LONWORKS® Schnittstellenkonverter;
USB-Kabel (Länge: 0,5 m);
Diese Produktdaten und Montageanleitung (MU1B-
0545GE51).
Software Installation
Ab Regler-Firmware Version 4.01.00 ist die erforderliche
Treibersoftware auf dem Honeywell Regler bereits installiert.
Sie können mit Ihrem PC die Funktionsfähigkeit des IF-LON2
überprüfen. Dazu gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
OPENLDV 5.00 herunterladen und installieren.
Den IF-LON2 mit der USB-Buchse Ihres PCs verbinden.
Zu "Systemsteuerung" gehen und "LonWorks interfaces"
öffnen. ERGEBNIS: Der IF-LON2 wird als "U60 Network
Interface" angezeigt.
Auf "Wink" und dann auf "Test" klicken. ERGEBNIS:
"Network Interface Node Status" wird angezeigt.

Hardware Installation
Schließen Sie den IF-LON2 Schnittstellenkonverter über das
mitgelieferte USB-Kabel an die vorgesehene USB-Client-
Schnittstelle des Honeywell Reglers an (siehe Abb. 1).
HINWEIS: Dabei ist es nicht erforderlich, den Honeywell Regler
von der Stromversorgung zu trennen.

Montage
Der IF-LON2 Schnittstellenkonverter läßt sich auf DIN-
Schienen montieren:

1. Schieben Sie den IF-LON2 auf die obere Kante der DIN-
Schiene.
2. Klappen Sie den IF-LON2 nach unten und drücken Sie ihn
mit mäßigem Kraftaufwand auf die DIN-Schiene, bis er
hörbar einrastet.
3. Bringen Sie bei Bedarf Endwinkel an den Enden der DIN-
Schiene an, um Verschieben zu vermeiden.

GÉNÉRALITÉS
L'interface Honeywell IF-LON2 LONWORKS® peut être utilisée
pour connecter les contrôleurs Honeywell (via leur port USB)
avec les réseaux LONWORKS®.
AVANT L'INSTALLATION
L'ensemble du câblage doit être conforme aux codes et
réglementations électriques locaux ou tel que spécifié sur
les schémas de câblage d'installation.
Le câblage du réseau IF-LON2 peut varier entre 1,5 et
0,34 mm2, selon l'application. La longueur maximale du câble
entre le contrôleur Honeywell et le IF-LON2 est de 0,5 m.
ATTENTION
Interférences électromagnétiques parasites.
Risque d'erreurs dans le fonctionnement du
système.
Le câblage doit se trouver à une distance d'au moins
300 mm des charges inductives importantes telles que
les moteurs, les ballasts d'éclairage et les panneaux
de distribution électrique de grande taille. Lors de
l'installation, évitez les zones à fortes interférences
électromagnétiques.
Exécutez le câblage IF-LON2 indépendamment du
câblage électrique 50 Vca ou supérieur.
AVERTISSEMENT/ATTENTION
Risque d'électrocution ou de dommage matériel !
►Débranchez l'alimentation électrique avant d'effectuer les
connexions aux bornes du IF-LON2 ou de les retirer.
►Ne rebranchez pas l'alimentation électrique avant d'avoir
terminé l'installation.
►Respectez les précautions relatives à la manipulation des
composants sensibles à l’électricité statique.
INSTALLATION
Contenu :
Une interface IF-LON2 LONWORKS® ;
un câble USB (0,5 mètre de long) ;
le présent fiche technique et manuel d'installation (MU1B-
0545GE51).
Installation du logiciel
À partir du micrologiciel du contrôleur version 4.01.00, le
pilote logiciel requis est déjà installé sur le contrôleur
Honeywell.
Vous pouvez tester le bon fonctionnement du IF-LON2 avec
votre ordinateur. Pour ce faire, procédez de la façon
suivante :
Téléchargez et installez OPENLDV 5.00.
Connectez le IF-LON2 au port USB de votre ordinateur.
Accédez au « Panneau de configuration » et ouvrez
« LonWorks interfaces » RÉSULTAT : le IF-LON2
s'affiche en tant que « U60 Network Interface » (Interface
réseau U60)
Cliquez sur « Wink » puis sur « Test ». RÉSULTAT :
« Network Interface Node Status » (État du nœud
d'interface réseau) s'affiche.

Installation du matériel
Utilisez le câble USB fourni pour connecter l'interface IF-
LON2 au port USB-Client désigné du contrôleur Honeywell
(voir Figure 1).
Remarque : pour cette opération, il n'est pas nécessaire de
débrancher le contrôleur Honeywell de la source
d'alimentation.

Montage
L'interface IF-LON2 peut être montée sur rail DIN:

1. Présenter l'IF-LON2 de biais contre le bord supérieur du
rail DIN.
2. Basculer l'IF-LON2 vers le bas et appuyer avec précaution
jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche avec un bruit audible
3. Au besoin, installer des butées aux extrémités du rail pour
éviter tout glissement.

PRODUCTINFORMATIE EN INSTALLATIE-INSTRUCTIES
ALGEMEEN
De interface van Honeywell IF-LON2 LONWORKS® kan
worden gebruikt voor het verbinden van Honeywell-controllers
(via de USB-poort ervan) met de netwerken van LONWORKS
®.
VÓÓR INSTALLATIE
De volledige bedrading moet voldoen aan lokale normen en
voorschriften voor elektrische installaties of zijn aangebracht
volgens de aansluitdiagrammen voor installatiedraad.
Voor de bedrading van het IF-LON2-netwerk kan installatiedraad
van 1,5 tot en met 0,34 mm2worden gebruikt, afhankelijk van de
toepassing. De maximale lengte van de aansluitkabel tussen de
Honeywell-controller en de IF-LON2 is 0,5 m.
LET OP
Elektromagnetische interferentie (EMI). Risico
van een onregelmatige werking van het systeem
Houd een afstand aan van ten minste 300 mm tussen de
bedrading en grote inductieve ladingen, zoals motoren,
starters, voorschakelapparaten van lampen en grote
elektrotechnische verdeelinrichtingen. Probeer tijdens de
installatie gebieden met een hogere elektromagnetische
interferentie te vermijden.
Zorg ervoor dat de bedrading van de IF-LON2
gescheiden is van voedingskabels van 50 Vac of hoger.
WAARSCHUWING/LET OP
Risico van een elektrische schok of schade
aan de apparatuur!
►Koppel de LON los van de voeding voordat u draden aansluit
op, of loskoppelt van, de aansluitingen op de IF-LON2.
►Sluit de voeding pas weer aan als u de installatie hebt
voltooid.
►Tref de nodige voorzorgsmaatregelen voor het werken
met apparaten die gevoelig zijn voor statische elektriciteit.
INSTALLATIE
De volgende onderdelen worden meegeleverd:
Interface van IF-LON2 LONWORKS®;
USB-kabel (0,5 meter lang);
Deze productinformatie en installatie-instructies (MU1B-
0545GE51).
Software-installatie
Vanaf firmwareversie 4.01.00 van de controller, de vereiste
stuurprogramma's zijn al geïnstalleerd op de Honeywell-
controller.
U kunt de juiste werking van de IF-LON2 testen met uw
computer. Daarvoor gaat u als volgt te werk:
Download en installeer OPENLDV 5.00.
Sluit de IF-LON2 aan op de USB-poort van uw computer.
Ga naar "Configuratiescherm" en open "LonWorks
interfaces". RESULTAAT: De IF-LON2 wordt
weergegeven als "U60 Network Interface".
Klik op "Wink" en vervolgens op "Test". RESULTAAT: Er
verschijnt "Network Interface Node Status"
(knooppuntstatus netwerkinterface).

Hardware-installatie
Verbind de IF-LON2-interface met behulp van de
meegeleverde USB-kabel met de USB-Client-poort van
de Honeywell-controller (raadpleeg Afb. 1).
OPMERKING: Tijdens het verbinden van deze twee
onderdelen hoeft u de Honeywell controller niet
van het stroomnet los te koppelen.

Montage
De IF-LON2-interface is geschikt voor montage op een
DIN-rail.

1. Haak de IF-LON2 aan de bovenrand van de DIN-rail.
2. Klap de IF-LON2 omlaag en oefen lichte druk uit tot
die met een hoorbare "klik" op zijn plaats vastklikt
3. Plaats desgewenst stoppers aan de uiteinden van
de rail om schuiven te voorkomen.
