The battery cover is removable.
The H30-U10 supports micro-SIM cards. To purchase or replace a micro-SIM card, contact
your service provider.
The H30-U10 supports a microSD card and dual micro-SIM cards. Install the micro-SIM or
microSD card in the direction indicated on the card trays.

After you complete those steps, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to power
on the H30-U10.
Note: Make sure your phone is powered off before you remove a micro-SIM card.
Do not switch the positions of the micro-SIM and microSD cards to avoid network
registration failures.
1.5 Home screen

1.5.2 Home screen overview
All your applications and widgets are displayed on the home screen. By default, your phone
has four home screens. Flick left or right to switch between them. You can set the screen
transition effect. Touch an application or widget to open it.
Figure 1-4 shows your home screens. The figure is for your reference only. The preinstalled
applications may vary. The home screen is composed of the following (from the top down):
Status bar
Widget area
Home screen position indicator
Dock
Shortcuts in this area do not change when you switch between the screens.
Home screen items include applications and widgets. To create a folder on the home screen,
drag an application onto another.A folder containing both applications is then created.

Go to Contacts, touch Add new contact, and choose where you want to save the contact.

1.6.3 How many contacts can my phone save?
At least 2000 contacts can be saved to your phone (depending on the available storage space).
The number of contacts that can be saved to your SIM card varies with the SIM card.
1.6.4 How do I add a contact to a contact group?
Use either of the following methods:
Method 1:
On the contact editing screen, touch Group name and select a group.

1.7.2 How do I delete or lock a message in a conversation? How
do I delete multiple messages simultaneously?
Go to Messaging and touch a conversation to display all messages in the conversation. Touch
and hold the message you want to lock or delete. From the displayed option menu, choose
Lock or Delete.
To simultaneously delete multiple messages from a conversation, touch and hold the
conversation, select the messages you want to delete, and touch Delete conversation then
Delete.

1.7.3 How do I forward a text message or send a text message to
multiple recipients?
Forwarding a text message
Touch and hold a message, choose Forward from the displayed option menu, and select
a recipient.
Sending a text message to multiple recipients
Create a message, touch , select the desired recipients, and touch SELECT then
Send.
1.7.4 How many English characters can be contained in a long text
message?
A long text message can contain a maximum of 1600 English characters.

1.7.5 How many text messages can be saved on my phone?
A conversation can contain a maximum of 500 text messages or 50 multimedia messages by
default. You can set the maximum numbers from Settings.
How many messages can be saved to your phone depends on your phone's available storage
space.
1.7.6 How do I set the SMS service center number?
Go to Messaging and touch . From the displayed option menu, touch Settings > SMS
service center. Set the SMS service center number and touch OK.
1.8 Calls
1.8.1 Can I record a call? Where is the recording saved?
Yes. You can record your calls. The recordings re saved in .3gpp format.
If Phone is selected in Settings > Storage > DEFAULT STORAGE LOCATION, the
recordings will be saved in File Manager\Phone storage\PhoneRecord.
If SD is selected in Settings > Storage > DEFAULT STORAGE LOCATION, the
recordings will be saved in File Manager\SD card\PhoneRecord.
1.8.2 How do I switch between calls or merge two calls to have a
conference call?
If you are talking on two calls using the same SIM card, you have the following options:
To switch between the two calls, touch .
To merge the two calls into a conference call, touch . (Note: This function is
network dependent.)
1.8.3 Does my phone support dual SIM cards? What will happen
if I'm in a call using one SIM card while someone calls the other?
Your phone supports dual card dual standby single pass, which means you cannot use both
SIM cards for calls or data services simultaneously.
When you are on a call using SIM card 1, SIM card 2 cannot be used to make or answer
calls. If someone calls SIM card 2, the caller will hear a voice message like "The
subscriber you dialed is out of the service zone" or "The subscriber you dialed is not able
to answer your call, please try again later."
When you are using SIM card 1's data service, SIM card 2's data service is disabled.
Your phone's single pass feature helps reduce power consumption and increase your phone's
standby time.

It is recommended that you contact your service provider and subscribe to services, such as
missed call reminder and assistance services to avoid problems caused by the preceding
scenario.
1.9 Multimedia messaging
1.9.1 How do I send a multimedia message?
1. Go to Messaging and touch Compose new message.
2. Enter the recipient and compose a message.
3. Touch then Add subject. The message is then converted into a multimedia
message.
4. Touch to attach pictures, audio clips, or videos to the message.

5. Touch Send.
1.9.2 Why can't I send or receive multimedia messages? What can
I do?
Your phone may fail to send or receive multimedia messages due to any of the following
reasons:
The network is busy, or the signal reception is poor.
Solution: Try again later.
The message is denied by the network (MMS center).
Reason 1: The recipient number is invalid.

Solution: Check that the recipient number is correct and try again.
Reason 2: The multimedia message exceeds the maximum size allowed by your service
provider (generally 300 KB).
Solution: Delete some content from the multimedia message to make sure that it is
smaller than the maximum size, and try again.
Your balance is insufficient.
Solution: Top up your account and try again.
Your phone is running out of available storage space.
Solution: Delete some files from your phone to free up at least 300 KB storage space.
1.9.3 Is there any restriction on the size, format, or resolution of
the file to be attached to a multimedia message?
If an audio or video file exceeds the maximum size allowed by your service provider
(generally 300 KB), it cannot be attached to a message. If a picture is too large, it will be
automatically compressed before being attached to a message.As a result, the resolution of
the picture attached to the message decreases.
1.9.4 Where are my multimedia messages' attachments saved?
By default, after you receive a multimedia message, the attachment is automatically saved to
the data folder, which is invisible to users.
You can save the attachment to the Download folder in the phone storage or microSD card.
1.10 Music
1.10.1 How are my songs sorted?
Albums: Lists songs grouped by album.
Artists: Lists songs grouped by artist.
All songs: Sorts all songs by name.
Genres: Sorts songs by genre.
Playlists: Contains the playlists you have created.
1.10.2 How do I create a playlist?
1. Go to Music, and touch Playlists then Create new playlist.
2. Name the playlist and touch Save.
3. In the displayed dialog box, touch OK. Select the desired songs and touch ADD.
