radio waves. Theseguidelines were developed by the independent scientific
organization International Commission on Non-Ionizing RadiationProtection
(ICNIRP) and include safety measures designed to ensuresafetyfor all users,
regardless of age and health.

The Specific AbsorptionRate (SAR) is the unit ofmeasurement for the amount of
radio frequency energy absorbedby the body when using a device. The SAR value
is determined at the highest certified power levelin laboratory conditions, butthe
actualSARlevelofthedevicewhenbeingoperatedcanbewellbelowthevalue.This
is because the deviceis designedto use the minimum powerrequired to reach the
network.
The SAR limit adopted by USAand Canada is 1.6watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged
over onegram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported to the FCC and IC forthis
device type when tested for use at the earis 1.34W/kg, and when properlyworn on
the body is1.02 W/kg, and when using Wi-Fihotspot function is1.32 W/Kg.

Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) regulations for Mobile phones
In 2003, the FCC adopted rules to makedigital wireless telephones compatible with
hearing aids and cochlear implants. Although analog wireless phones donot usually
cause interference with hearing aids or cochlear implants, digital wirelessphones
sometimes dobecauseof electromagnetic energy emittedby the phone's antenna,
backlight,or other components.
Your phone is compliant with FCCHAC regulations(ANSI C63.19).
Whilesomewirelessphonesareusednearsomehearingdevices(hearingaidsand
cochlearimplants), users maydetecta buzzing, humming, or whiningnoise.
Some hearing devices are moreimmune than othersto this interferencenoise, and
phones also vary in the amount of interference theygenerate.
The wireless telephoneindustry has developeda rating system for wireless phones,
to assist hearing device users find phones thatmay be compatible with their hearing
devices. Not all phones have been rated.Phonesthat are rated have the rating on
their box or a label located on the box. Theratings are not guarantees. Results will
varydependingon theuser'shearingdeviceandhearingloss.Ifyourhearingdevice
happens tobe vulnerable to interference, you may not be able to use a rated phone
successfully.Tryingoutthephonewithyourhearingdeviceisthebestwaytoevaluate
itfor yourpersonalneeds.
M-Ratings: Phones rated M3or M4 meet FCC requirements and are likelyto
generateless interferenceto hearing devicesthan phones thatare not labeled.
M4 is the better/higher of the tworatings.
T-Ratings: Phones rated T3 orT4 meet FCC requirements and arelikelyto be more
usablewithahearingdevice’stelecoil(“TSwitch”or“TelephoneSwitch”)thanunrated
phones.T4 is the better/higher of the two ratings. (Notethat not allhearingdevices
have telecoilsin them.) Hearing devices may also be measured.
Your phone meets the M4/T3 level rating.Hearing devices may alsobe rated. Your
hearing devicemanufacturer or hearing health professional may help you find this
rating.
