General Dimensions
Safety
Stages of the installaon may require the use of personal protecon
equipment.
When working at heights refer to HSE guidance.

Ground Fixing Detail
 It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure
that the foundaons are suitable for the ground
condions.
 The base plates supplied with the Longton
smoking shelter are sloed with Ø14 x 20mm
slots.
 The installer should ensure that the ground
xings are sucient to secure the Longton
smoking shelter to the foundaons.

 The Longton smoking shelter is supplied with bolt on legs to
facilitate stepping where required. The legs are supplied plain to
be drilled on site so that incremental changes can be made.
 Make sure that the frame is fully assembled and square before
drilling the legs and bolng them to the shelter.

Bolt boom rear
rail to side panels
using M8 x 60mm
socket buon
head screws.
Bolt the top roof struts to side panels using M10 x 70mm bolts.
The sequence of images is not representave of assembly order, use as a
guide for bolt selecon only.

Bolt rear vercal struts to
top rail using M10 X 80

M8 x 80 socket buon
head screws (Fig 8).

Before ghtening all bolts,
ensure that the framework is
square.
Frame Assembly
Fit the 40 x 40mm plasc
caps to the front and rear
roof rails.
Bolt roof beams to roof
struts using M10 x 70mm
bolts.
Bolt front and rear roof rails
to roof beams using M10 x
70mm bolts.

Before ng the sheet, IAE advise that the mid purlins are pre drilled using a drill screw. Drill
unl it starts to thread then remove and clean to remove all swarf. See Fig 11.
·Pre drill ø10mm holes in sheet rst to match purlins.
·Fix the sheet to the mid purlins using 5.5x32mm drill screws.
Aach the PETg UV to the side and rear panels using 5.5x3.2mm drill screws. Pre-drill
Ø10mm holes in PETg.

Before ng strip, apply 19x3mm tape to the strip.
Fit 50x3mm cover strip using 5.5x32 drill screws.
When ng the strip it is important that you work from one end.
·Make sure to allow a 10mm gap between the two sheets.
·Pre drill ø10mm holes in sheet rst to match purlins.
·Fix the sheet to the mid purlins using 5.5x32mm drill screws.
Drill mid purlins
to accept.

Aach the PETg UV to the roof using 5.5x3.2mm drill screws. Pre-drill Ø10mm holes in PETg.

Maintenance
Roune visual inspecon
Smoking shelter equipment may be subject to heavy use or vandalism, weekly inspecon of
this type can be necessary.
Examples of frame inspecon points are:
Cleanliness.
Tightness of all xings.
Signs of corrosion or wear.
Missing parts.
Structural integrity.
Maintenance of plasc sheeng:
Wipe down regularly with warm soapy water using a non-abrasive cloth.
Check for surface damage.
Light scus and scratches can be repaired by dusng with hot air gun or pencil torch ame.
Cracked or severely damaged panels should be removed and replaced.
