Conversion Unit. Footnotes in Chapters 1 through 4 are provided for the system
administrator

system engineer who is responsible for the 3708. The footnotes
may
not
be

interest to terminal operators and other end users.
How This Book Is Organized
This book contains four chapters
and
three appendixes:
Chapter
1,
"Logging on to the 3708" gives instructions for logging
on
to the 3708
and
lists any error messages
that
may be displayed.
Chapter
2,
"Operating in Full-Screen Mode" describes how to operate in protocol
conversion mode (full-screen mode).
Chapter
3,
"Operating in Line-by-Line and ASCII Pass-through Modes" describes
how to operate in protocol enveloping (line-by-line)
and
ASCII pass-through modes.
Chapter 4, "Common Problems

Do"
describes how to solve common
problems you may have during logging on or operating in protocol conversion
