Set the radio to communicate with a repeater at 146.780– MHz, 100.0 Hz tone
0. Turn on the radio and make sure it’s unlocked
(press and hold SET to unlock)
1. Press the right MAIN to select the right
transceiver
2. If the right display is in Memory mode, press
the right V/MHz to enter VFO mode
3. Press the right V/MHz to select tens of MHz,
then turn the right big knob so that the right
display reads 14
4. Press the right V/MHz to select MHz, then turn
the right big knob so that the right display
reads 146
5. Press the right V/MHz to select kHz, then turn
the right big knob so that the right display
reads 146.780
6. Press SET repeatedly until the lower right
shows rt (repeater tone)
7. Turn the right big knob until the right display
reads 100.0
8. Press TONE to exit SET mode, then press
TONE again to set the tone for this repeater
9. Select the desired power level by pressing
LOW repeatedly
Your radio is now set to transmit as specified
Store and name the current repeater and tone settings in a memory channel
0. Follow the procedure above to set your radio
for the frequency of your choice
1. If the right display is in Memory mode, press
the right V/MHz to enter VFO mode
2. Press and hold the right M/CALL until you
hear a single beep
3. Turn the right big knob until the right display
reads 37
4. Press and hold the right M/CALL to save the
frequency and settings
Now stored in memory channel 37
Recall a stored memory setting
0. Turn on the radio and make sure it’s unlocked
(press and hold SET to unlock)
1. If the right display is not in Memory mode,
press the right M/CALL to change to Memory
mode
2. Turn the right big knob until the right display
reads your desired channel number
The stored channel is now ready for use
Set the radio to communicate at 147.480 MHz simplex
0. Turn on the radio and make sure it’s unlocked
(press and hold SET to unlock)
1. Press the right MAIN to select the right
transceiver
2. If the right display is in Memory mode, press
the right V/MHz to enter VFO mode
3. Press the right V/MHz to select tens of MHz,
then turn the right big knob so that the right
display reads 14
4. Press the right V/MHz to select MHz, then turn
the right big knob so that the right display
reads 147
5. Press the right V/MHz to select kHz, then turn
the right big knob so that the right display
reads 147.480
6. Select the desired power level by pressing
LOW repeatedly
7. Press and hold the right M/CALL until you
hear a single beep
8. Turn the right big knob until the right display
reads 25
9. Press and hold the right M/CALL to save the
frequency and settings
Now stored in radio memory channel 25
