2 Safety instructions
This device is intended for use as a freely moving multifunctional spotlight. The
device is designed for professional use and is not suitable for use in households. Use
the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other
operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury
or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from
improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sucient physical, sensorial, and intel‐
lectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons
may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is
responsible for their safety.
Extend the operating life of the device by regular breaks and by avoiding
frequent switching on and o. The device is not suitable for continuous
operation.

DANGER!
Risk of injury and choking hazard for children!
Children can suocate on packaging material and small parts. Children can injure themselves when handling the device. Never
allow children to play with the packaging material and the device. Always store packaging material out of the reach of babies and
small children. Always dispose of packaging material properly when it is not in use. Never allow children to use the device without
supervision. Keep small parts away from children and make sure that the device does not shed any small parts (such knobs) that
children could play with.

Electric shock caused by high voltages inside
Within the device there are areas where high voltages may be present. Never remove any covers. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside. Do not use the device if covers, protectors or optical components are missing or damaged.

Electric shock caused by short-circuit
Always use proper ready-made insulated mains cabling (power cord). Do not modify the mains cable. Failure to do so could result
in electric shock/death or re. If in doubt, seek advice from a registered electrician.

Eye damage caused by high light intensity
Never look directly into the light source.

Risk of epileptic shock
Strobe lighting can trigger seizures in photosensitive epilepsy. Sensitive persons should avoid looking at strobe lights.

The surface of the device can become very hot during operation. Do not touch the device with bare hands during operation, and
after switching o wait for at least 15 minutes.

Make sure that the installation complies with the standards and rules that apply in your country. Always secure the device with a
secondary safety attachment, such as a safety cable or a safety chain. The load capacity of trusses or other xtures must be su‐
cient for the intended number of devices. Not that the movement of the head places additional loads on the load-bearing parts.

The head of the device can move quickly (pan, tilt) and can produce very bright light. This is also valid immediately after you turn
on the device, when the device operates in automatic mode or under remote control and when you turn o a DMX controller that
is connected to the device. Persons staying near the device could be injured or frightened. Before you turn on the device and
during the operation, always ensure that nobody stays close to the device. If work has to be performed in the area of movement
or in the near vicinity of the device, it must remain turned o.

Do not block areas of ventilation. Do not install the device near any direct heat source. Keep the device away from naked ames.

Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid
direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations. Only operate the device within the ambient conditions specied in the chapter
‘Technical specications’ of this user manual. Avoid heavy temperature uctuations and do not switch the device on immediately
after it was exposed to temperature uctuations (for example after transport at low outside temperatures). Dust and dirt inside
can damage the unit. When operated in harmful ambient conditions (dust, smoke, nicotine, fog, etc.), the unit should be main‐
tained by qualied service personnel at regular intervals to prevent overheating and other malfunction. The device must not be
moved during use.

Power supply
Before connecting the device, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC
outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and possibly injure
the user. Unplug the device before electrical storms occur and when it is unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of
electric shock or re.
NOTICE!
Fire hazard due to exceedance of the maximum current
The device can power other devices of identical construction. The current consumption of all other devices connected in series
must not exceed the values indicated in the technical specications. Otherwise you risk injuries and irreparable damages to the
device. Only connect so many identical devices that the maximum current consumption is not exceeded. Ensure the sucient
dimensioning (wire cross section) of the power cables used for all devices connected in series.
NOTICE!
Possible damage due to installation of a wrong fuse
The use of dierent types of fuses can cause serious damage to the unit. Fire hazard! Only fuses of the same type may be used.

Possible staining
The plasticiser contained in the rubber feet of this product may possibly react with the coating of your surface and after some
time cause permanent dark stains. In case of doubt, do not put the rubber feet directly on the surface and use a suitable underlay
if necessary, i.e. felt pads or similar.
NOTICE!
Risk of overheating
The distance between light source and the illuminated surface must be more than 0.5 m. Provide sucient ventilation. The
ambient temperature must always be below 40 °C.

3 Features
The moving head is particularly suitable for professional lighting tasks, for example at
events, on rock stages, in theatres and musicals or in night clubs.
The device oers the maximum exibility and is a cost-reducing and space-saving
choice for small venues where there is little space. Thanks to top-quality optics and
extensive eects such as 14 colours, 16 gobos and two combinable prisms, the
device creates a unique atmosphere for any event.

For technological reasons, the light output of LEDs decreases over their lifetime. This
eect increases with higher operating temperature. You can extend the service life of
the illuminants by providing adequate ventilation and operating the LEDs with the
lowest possible brightness.

4 Installation
Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit.
Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust
and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your
own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
Lift the device only at the base. When lifted at the rotatable mounting, the device
may be damaged.
You can install the device standing or hanging. When in use, the device must be
mounted at a solid surface or clamped to an approved truss.
Work from a stable platform whenever you install or move the device or when you
perform any kind of maintenance. Block access under the work area.

Please note that this device must not be connected to a dimmer.
You can install the unit in hanging or standing position. When in use, the device must
always be attached to a solid surface or an approved mount. Use the openings pro‐
vided on the two-piece bracket for attaching.
The installation environment must be able to support 10 times the weight of the
devices to be attached without being deformed.
Always work from a stable platform whenever installing, moving or servicing the
unit. In doing so, the area underneath the device must be cordoned o.
Additionally secure the device with a safety cable that can bear at least 12 times the
weight of the device to be attached.

5 Starting up
Create all connections while the device is o. Use the shortest possible high-quality
cables for all connections. Take care when running the cables to prevent tripping
hazards.
Connect the DMX input of the device to the DMX output of a DMX controller or
another DMX device. Connect the output of the rst DMX device to the input of the
second one and so on, to form a series connection. Make sure that the output of the
last DMX device in the chain is terminated by a resistor (110 Ω, ¼W).

7 Operating
7.1 Starting the device
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to movements of the device
The head of the device can move quickly (pan, tilt) and can produce
very bright light. This is also valid immediately after you turn on the
device, when the device operates in automatic mode or under remote
control and when you turn o a DMX controller that is connected to the
device. Persons staying near the device could be injured or frightened.
Before you turn on the device and during the operation, always ensure
that nobody stays close to the device. If work has to be performed in the
area of movement or in the near vicinity of the device, it must remain
turned o.
Connect the device to the power supply to start operation. After a few seconds, the
fans start to work, the head moves to the home positions for rotation (pan) and incli‐
nation (tilt). After a few more seconds, the device will perform the last automatic
show. The name of the set show appears on the display, e.g. ‘Show 1’ .
7.2 Main menu
1. To enter the main menu, press [MENU].
2. To scroll between the individual menu items, press [UP] and [DOWN]. To open
the selected menu item, press [ENTER].
3. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
ðAll previous settings are retained even when the device is switched o and
disconnected from the mains.
4. To restart with default values, use the functions under ‘Reset Functions’ in the
main menu.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘DMX Settings èDMX Address’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select an address between 001 and 495.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired address is saved.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
The device can only be controlled in 18-channel mode. To specify the mode, proceed
as follows:
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘DMX Settings èDMX CH Mode’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select ‘Mode1(18)’ .

active DMX values until the signal returns)
n‘Manual’ (The device accepts the DMX value stored in the ‘Manual Test’
menu)
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired status is saved.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘DMX Settings èView DMX Value’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the desired DMX channel, for which the value is
to be displayed.
4. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.

This function causes the pan or tilt positions to be automatically adjusted to the cor‐
rect position when they are twisted. To enable or disable this function, proceed as
follows:
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èP/T Feedback’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] ‘No’ (Tilt / Pan Feedback deactivated) or ‘Yes’ (Tilt / Pan
Feedback activated).
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe “Tilt / Pan Feedback” function is activated or deactivated.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èDimmer Curve’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select one of the following settings:
n‘Linear’ : The light intensity increases linearly with the DMX value.
n‘Square Law’ : The light intensity is ner in the lower range, and can be
adjusted in the upper range.
n‘Inv SQ Law’ : The light intensity is coarser in the lower range, and can be
adjusted in the upper range.
n‘S Curve’ : The light intensity is ne in the upper and lower range, and can
be adjusted in the mid range.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired setting is saved.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Settings èDimmer Speed’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select ‘Fast’ or ‘Smooth’ .
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe dimmer speed is specied.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Display Settings èDisplay Invert’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select ‘No’ (Display normal) or ‘Yes’ (Display inverted).
ðSelecting ‘Yes’ rotates the display by 180°.

ðThe device immediately performs an automatic self test. The following
functions are tested: Pan, Tilt, Color, Gobos, Gobo rotation, Prism, Prism
rotation, Frost, Zoom, Focus, and Dimmer.
3. To end the automatic self test and exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 sec‐
onds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Fixture Test èManual Mode’.
ðThe current channel is displayed.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the channel for which the self test is to be per‐
formed.

ðThe device immediately performs a self test. The selected channel is dis‐
played. The following functions are tested: Pan, Tilt, Color, Gobos, Gobo
rotation, Prism, Prism rotation, Frost, Zoom, Focus, and Dimmer.
5. To end the self test and exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
The device returns to its original DMX state after the self test. The test
values are saved automatically when the device is switched o.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Information’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘Fixture Use Hour’ , ‘Temperature’ , ‘Fan
State’ , ‘Firmware Version’ or ‘RDM UID’ submenu.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðDepending on your selection, the operating hours, the device tempera‐
ture, the fan status, the rmware version or the RDM UI is displayed.
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Information èLED Use Hour’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘Total LED Hour’ (total time) or ‘LED On
Hour’ (current switch-on time) submenu.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired selection is saved.
5. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘LED Hours Reset’ submenu.
6. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
7. If you wish to reset the relevant LED operating hours, select ‘Yes’ . If you do not
wish to reset anything, select ‘No’ .
8. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].

9. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to enter the digits ‘050’ .
10. Conrm your input with [ENTER].
ðThe previously selected LED operating hours are reset.
11. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.

2. Navigate to ‘Information èError Logs’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘Fixture Errors’ submenu.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðThe desired selection is saved.
5. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘Reset Error Log’ submenu.
6. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
7. If you wish to reset the relevant error logs, select ‘Yes’ . If you do not wish to
reset anything, select ‘No’ .
8. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
ðIf you selected ‘Yes’ , a three-digit PIN is displayed; otherwise the previous
submenu is displayed again.
9. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to enter the digits ‘050’ .
10. Conrm your input with [ENTER].
ðThe error logs are reset.
11. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Reset Functions’.
3. Use [UP] and [DOWN] to select the ‘Pan/Tilt Reset’ (resets the axis movements),
‘Eect Reset’ (resets the eects) or ‘All Reset’ (resets all settings) menu.
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
5. If you wish to reset the respective settings, select ‘Yes’ . If you do not wish to
reset anything, select ‘No’ .
6. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
7. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
The menu item ‘Factory Restore’ gives you the option of resetting the device to its
factory settings.
1. Open the main menu.
2. Navigate to ‘Factory Restore’.
3. If you wish to reset the device to the factory settings, select ‘Yes’ . If you do not
wish to reset anything, select ‘No’ .
4. Conrm your selection with [ENTER].
5. To exit the menu, press [MENU], or wait 30 seconds.
