AS272/AS273 Indoor Siren Installation Sheet
EN
EN: Installation Sheet
Description
AS272 is a two-tone self-supplied siren without flash, ideal for
use as an internal alarm sounder for residential and industrial
alarm applications.
AS273 is a two-tone self-supplied siren with a beacon, ideal for
use as an internal alarm sounder for residential and industrial
alarm applications.
Caution: Only use external current limited power supply. We
recommend 5 A supply.

Installation procedure
First, wire the control panel (power down) to the siren as
shown, before connecting the battery. When the battery is
connected for the first time, the siren will give a short beep
instead of a fully sounding alarm.
It is impossible to further activate the siren before the correct
jumper settings have been made and all input voltages (power
supply voltage and hold-off voltage) are correct.
In order to work properly, the siren needs to be provided with a
constantly present power supply to terminals 3 and 4.
The siren, the buzzer or the flashing light (AS273 only) will be
activated when the hold-off current at the input is removed.
The siren will also be activated if the external power supply is
decreased considerably.
If one of the siren inputs (siren or buzzer) is activated, the
other one will be blocked. Before the other input can be
activated, the input first activated should be switched off. This
does not apply to the flashing light input (AS273) that is
independent from both other inputs.
The time the siren will sound is fixed at maximum 20 minutes.
