As a manufacturer of owered scooters, Invacare endeavors to su ly a wide
variety of owered scooters to meet many needs of the end user. However, final
selection of the ty e of owered scooter to be used by an individual rests solely with
the user and his/her healthcare rofessional ca able of making such a selection.
TIE-DOWN RESTRAINTS AND SEAT RESTRAINTS
Powered scooter users should NOT be trans orted in vehicles of any kind while in
the owered scooter. As of this date, the De artment of Trans ortation has not
a roved any tie-down systems for trans ortation of a user while in a owered
scooter, in a moving vehicle of any ty e.
It is Invacare’s osition that users of owered scooters should be transferred into
a ro riate seating in vehicles for trans ortation and use be made of the restraints
made available by the auto industry. Invacare cannot and does not recommend any
owered scooter trans ortation systems.
SEAT POSITIONING STRAP
It is the obligation of the Dealers, Thera ists and other Healthcare Professionals to
determine if a seating ositioning stra is required to ensure the safe o eration of
this equi ment by the user. Serious injury can occur in the event of a fall from a
owered scooter.
 WARNING
The seat ositioning stra is a ositioning belt only. It is not designed for use as a
safety device withstanding high stress loads such as auto or aircraft safety belts. If
signs of wear a ear, belt MUST be re laced immediately.
Invacare roducts are s ecifically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction
with Invacare accessories. Accessories designed by other manufacturers have not
been tested by Invacare and are not recommended for use with Invacare roducts.
