Thisunitconvertsaportablerouterintoabenchtopshaper,itis
designedforshapingwoodandwoodderivedmaterials.
Machiningofothermaterialsisnotpermittedandmaybe
carriedoutinspecificcasesonlyafterconsultingwiththe
manufacturer.
Nometalworkpiecesmaybemachined.
Theworkpiecemustallowtosafelybeloaded,supportedand
guided.
Theproperusealsoincludescompliancewiththeoperatingand
maintenanceinstructionsgiveninthismanual.
Themachinemustbeoperatedonlybypersonsfamiliarwithits
operationandmaintenanceandwhoarefamiliarwithits
hazards.
Therequiredminimumagemustbeobserved
Themachinemustonlybeusedinatechnicallyperfect
condition
Whenworkingonthemachine,allsafetymechanismsand
coversmustbemounted.

manual.Makesurethebitissecurelyseatedinthecolletchuck
beforemakinganycuts.
Theroutermustfirstreachthemaximumrpmbeforecutting
maybegin.
Supportlongworkpieceswithhelpingrollerstandsortable
extensions.
Connectionandrepairworkontheelectricalinstallationmaybe
carriedoutbyaqualifiedelectricianonly.

operation.

andthrownbacktotheoperator.

Bothsocketsareoperatedbytheswitch.
Ashop‐vacconnectedtothesecondsocketwillstartandstop
togetherwiththerouter.
6.Machineoperation
Workpiecehandling:
Feedtheworkpiecestraightacrossthemachinetable,holding
yourfingersclosetogether,guidingtheworkpiecewiththe
palmofyourhands.
Neverputyourhandsunderorbehindtheshaperguard.
Alwayskeepyourhandswellclearoftherotatingcutter.
Alwaysfeedtheworkpieceagainstthecutterrotation(Fig14).
Adjusttheworkpieceholddown(D),toguidetheworkpiece
andtoavoidworkpiecelifting.
Adjustthelateralworkpieceguide(C),toguidetheworkpiece
andtopresstheworkpieceagainstthefence.
