Basic information about preparing drinks:
UThe display shows four products you can prepare. Touch the
product selector symbol at the bottom right to display more
products.
UDuring the grinding operation you can select the coffee
strength of single products by touching ‘<’ or ‘>’.
UDuring preparation you can change the preset amounts
(e.g. water and amount of milk) by touching ‘<’ or ‘>’.
UYou can make permanent settings for all products in pro-
gramming mode. You can also move any of the standard
products programmed in your E8 to your preferred position
on the start screen and make it one of your favourites (see
Chapter 2 ‘Preparation – Adjusting the product settings’).
UYour E8 has a ‘Smart mode’. If this mode is activated, the
products on the start screen will be rearranged according to
the frequency of preparation after some time. The star on the
cockpit indicates that the ‘Smart mode’ is activated.
UYou can stop preparation at any time. To do this, touch
‘Cancel’.
Coffee tastes best served hot. A cold porcelain cup cools the bever-
age – and impairs the taste. We therefore recommend prewarming
the cups. The full coffee aroma can develop only in prewarmed cups.
You can purchase a JURA cup warmer from your specialised dealer.
Example:Proceed as follows to prepare one coffee.
Precondition:The start screen is displayed.
TPlace a cup under the coffee spout.
