Introduction
Welcome to KBC Network’s Quick Start Guide for
the ESUGS4-EG1-P1, 5GE +1G SFP port, PoE
switch. This document provides some quick tips
on how to get up and running. For more detailed
information see the Downloads section below.

You will
need a 48Vdc power supply, these are
supplied separately.

•Supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Auto
•Supports jumbo frames up to 9 kbytes
•DIN rail with IP30 casing

Configuring the ESU

1. Connect the DIN rail or wall-mount
brackets as required.
2. Connect a 48Vdc power supply, (supplied
separately).
3. If using only one power source, connect
pin 1 to pin 5 and pin 2 to pin 6 otherwise
the Power Fail LED will be lit.
4. Link external devices to the switch with
appropriate cables.
5. Connect the fault alarm contact

Status
Description
P1 ON Power is supplied to the unit
OFF No power to the unit
P2 ON Power is supplied to the unit
OFF No power to the unit
P-Fail ON Power to input 1 or 2 has failed
OFF Power is functioning to both or
none of the powered devices.
PoE 1-4 ON The port is supplying power to
the powered device
OFF There is no powered device
attached or the power to the
device has failed
Ethernet RJ45 Port Status LED
Each RJ45 Ethernet port has two indicators, a yellow
lamp and a green lamp. The yellow lamp indicates port
speed, and the green lamp indicates port link state.
