Safety
lRead these instructions carefully and
retain for future reference.
lRemove all packaging and any labels.
lIf the plug or cord is damaged it must,
for safety reasons, be replaced by
Kenwood or an authorised Kenwood
repairer in order to avoid a hazard.
lThe blades are sharp, handle with
care. Always hold the knife blade at
the top, away from the cutting edge,
when handling the sharp cutting
blades, emptying the bowl and during
cleaning.
lDO NOT process hot ingredients.
lBe careful if hot liquid is poured into
the mini chopper bowl as it can be
ejected out of the appliance due to
sudden steaming.
lAlways switch off the appliance and
disconnect from the power supply, if it
is left unattended, before assembling,
disassembling or cleaning.
lWhen processing heavy loads such
as meat do not operate continuously
for longer than 10 seconds. Leave to
cool for 2 minutes in between each
10 second operation.
lDo not exceed the maximum capacities
stated in the processing guide (refer to
illustration

lAlways wait for the blades to
completely stop before removing the

OAlways remove the knife blade(s)
before emptying or pouring contents
from the bowl.
ONever use a damaged appliance. Get
it checked or repaired: see ‘Service
and customer care’.
ONever let the power unit, cord or
plug get wet.
ODo not let excess cord hang over the
edge of a table or worktop or touch
hot surfaces.
ODo not operate the food chopper if
the bowl is empty.
ONever operate the food chopper with
the bowl filled with liquid.
ODo not use the bowl as a storage
container.
ONever leave the appliance on
unattended.
OMisuse of your food chopper can
result in injury.
ONever use an unauthorised
attachment.
OChildren should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
OAppliances can be used by persons
with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved.

OThis appliance shall not be used by
children. Keep the appliance and its
cord out of reach of children.
OOnly use the appliance for its
intended domestic use. Kenwood
will not accept any liability if the
appliance is subject to improper
use, or failure to comply with these
instructions.
Cleaning
Refer to Illustrations J
OAlways switch off and unplug before
cleaning.
ODo not immerse the power unit in
water. Wipe with a damp cloth, then
dry.
OAlways separate the blades before
cleaning.
OHandle the blade with care - it is
extremely sharp.
OWash the parts by hand, then dry.
Alternatively they can be washed in
your dishwasher.
OThe parts are unsuitable for use
in a Steam Steriliser. Instead use a
sterilising solution in accordance
with the sterilising solutions
manufacturer’s instructions.

Before plugging in
O Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown
on the underside of the power unit.
O This appliance conforms to EC Regulation 1935/2004 on
materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
Before using for the first time
O Remove all packaging and
any labels including the
plastic blade covers from the
knife blade. Take care the
blades are very sharp. These
covers should be discarded
as they are to protect the
blade during manufacture and
transit only.
O Wash the parts: see ‘Cleaning’.

To Use Your Mini
Chopper

O Before use, fit the Anti-slip
ring to stop the bowl sliding
on the worktop.
Refer to Illustrations A–H
O Your Mini Chopper will not
operate unless the bowl and
lid are correctly interlocked.
O For coarser chopping use the
lower blade on its own.
O For finer chopping or pureeing
use both blades together.

Important
O If preparing food for babies
or young children, always
check that the ingredients are
thoroughly processed before
feeding.
Hints
O If the chopper labours,
remove some of the mixture
and continue processing in
several batches, otherwise
you may strain the motor.
O Chopping hard foods such
as coffee beans, spices,
chocolate or ice will wear
the knife blades faster.
O Beware of over processing
some ingredients. Stop
and check the consistency
frequently.
O Some spices such as
cloves, and cumin seeds
can have an adverse effect
on the plastic of your food
chopper.
O To ensure even processing,
stop and scrape down the
bowl.
O The best results are
obtained by cutting food
into small pieces and
chopping small quantities at
a time.
