1. BEFORE YOU BEGIN
HOW TOUSE THESEINSTRUCTIONS
These instructions contain important information on the
Touchless battery urinal flush valve which is designed to
work in place of an existing manual flush valve. No addi-
tional plumbing or electrical connections are required to
install the valve.
2. INSTALLATION SEQUENCE
Remove cover from water supply valve. Using a screw-
driver, turn the screw clockwise to close valve.
Activate flush leverto drainwater fromflushvalveassem-
bly.
Loosen inlet and outlet nuts and remove manual flush
valve assembly.

Vacuum Breaker
Clean threads on water supply valve. Install by inserting
flushvalveinletfittingintowatersupplyvalve,andthenlin-
ingup outlet fitting with vacuumbreaker unit. Tighteninlet
and outlet connections securely.
NOTE: Make sure O-ring is on inlet fitting.

Install four “C” size Alkaline batteries in battery holder as-
sembly as shown.
Connect battery holder lead to circuit board, noting that
batteryconnectorcanonlybeinstalledoneway.Installas-
sembly in chassis as shown.

Using a screwdriver, turn screw on water supply valve
counterclockwise to open valve. Test assembly by
covering the lens for 30 seconds (minimum). Uncover
lens. Valve should flush after a few seconds. Inspect for
leakage.

Place front cover on unit, aligning lens cover into rectan-
gular lens housing on flush valve. Install four socket head
screws. Do notovertighten screws.Replace watersupply
valve cover.

3. TROUBLESHOOTING
To view the indicator you must remove the faceplate and
move the circuit board in the back until you can see the
LED lights.

Cut the courtesy flush wire jumper (JP1) on the circuit
board. It is located on the circuit board as shown.
First 10 minutes from power up check:
The GREEN LED indicator is on constantly when
the urinal sensor detects an object.
A flush occurs 3 seconds after the urinal sensor de-
tects an object.
If the urinal sensor detects an object more than 1
minute, the GREEN LED flashes until the object is
removed. the urinal flushes once after the object
has been removed.

BOTH TYPES OF URINALS
The Touchless battery urinal flush valve features
a low battery indicator-RED LED. The RED LED
indicator flashes when batteries need to be
replaced. Replace with C-cell alkaline batteries
only.
If the valve fails to operate, first check the low
battery indicator. If the indicator is not flashing,
check that water supply is on. If the valve still fails
to operate, replace the batteries.
