• Check that your mains voltage is the same as that of your device.
• Always keep the monitor away from heat sources such as stoves, radiators, etc.
• Do not use this device in a room in which aerosols (sprays) are used or in a room

in which oxygen is administered.
• Do not place the thermometer in direct sunlight, or expose it to high
temperatures, humidity or dirt.
• Do not immerse the device in water.
• Do not drop the device and do not use it if it is damaged.
• This device must be used at an ambient temperature of between 15°C et 35°C.
• Do not expose the thermometer to electric shocks.
• Do not expose this thermometer to extremes of temperature above 55°C
or below -25°C.
• Do not use the device if the relative humidity is above 95% or below 10%.
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of large electro-magnetic elds, such as
cordless or portable telephones.
• The accuracy of the measuring process may be disrupted if the forehead is
covered by hair, a cap or a scarf.
• Please wait at least 30 minutes after taking a shower, exercising, eating or
drinking before taking any temperature.
• It is recommended that the thermometer should be kept at room temperature
for around 10 minutes before use.
• Use of this thermometer is not a substitute for consulting your doctor.
• If there is a problem with your device, please contact your reseller.
• Do not try to repair the device yourself.
• Do not take the device as a whole apart.
• This device is not intended for use by people, including children, with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by people lacking experience
or knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed beforehand
on how to use the equipment by someone responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to make sure they do not play with the device.
• Only use the thermometer for its intended purpose, as described in these
instructions.
• The thermometer is pre-set when it leaves the factory.You do not therefore
have to calibrate the device when you rst use it.
• Put the thermometer back on its base and keep out of the reach of children
after it has been used.
• The forehead thermometer has a probe which is used to take the temperature
on the forehead only. Do not use it to take a temperature in the rectum,
mouth, ear or armpit.
• Body temperature is generally lower in the morning and gradually rises
throughout the day. Please therefore take your body temperature at the same
time during the day and under the same conditions of use.
• The temperature must be taken between the eyebrows and roots of the hair.
• Do not place the thermometer on a scar or any problem areas of the skin,
open wounds or abrasions or if you are suering from any physical trauma.
• Consult your doctor if you are taking any medicines. These might increase
your body temperature.
• The device’s performance may be adversely aected if the thermometer is
used or stored outdoors.
• The thermometer should only be used indoors.

OPERATINGTHE THERMOMETER
The “BABY STONE” forehead thermometer by LANAFORM® is a high-tech
electronic device for taking body temperature. Please remove the protective
lm covering the battery compartment before using your thermometer for
the rst time. Press the thermometer’s on/o button to switch it on (Figure 2)
All the existing icons will appear on the screen for a second (Figure 3). The last
temperature taken is then displayed on the screen showing « » (memory)
for a second (Figure 4).
A beep tone followed by the “ ” icon tells you that you can now take your
child’s temperature(Figure 5) .To do this, carefully place the thermometer’s probe
on your baby’s forehead as shown in Figure 6 and keep it there for 5 seconds.
An audible alert will sound and the temperature as well as an hourglass symbol
« » will be instantly displayed on the screen for ten seconds or so(Figure
7).If the child’s temperature rises above 37.8°C (100°F), 6 consecutive audible
alerts will sound. You then have the option of taking the baby’s temperature
again immediately since a beep tone followed by the icon « OK » will again be
displayed on the screen.
After one minute’s inactivity, the thermometer will automatically switch to
standby mode, displaying the ambient temperature of the room and the icon of
a house « » will be displayed on the screen (Figure 8). If you want to take
your child’s temperature again, press the on/o button to activate the mode
for taking the forehead temperature. To switch o the thermometer, press this
on/o button again. To choose the °C or °F unit of measurement, switch the
thermometer o. Then keep your nger on the thermometer’s on/o button
for 5 seconds.The °C or °F unit of measurement will be displayed on the screen.
Select the temperature required by pressing this same on/o button. Let the
thermometer to set itself once you have chosen the unit of measurement and this

will be displayed on the screen. Do not press the on/o button as you might then
change the unit of measurement you have chosen.
REPLACINGTHE BATTERY
1. Press the cover protecting the battery and slide it towards the outer edge
before removing it. 2. Get a new lithium CR2032 battery (3V) ready. 3. Remove
the old battery from where it is located and replace it with the new one. 4.
Replace the protective cover.
-To avoid accidents and misuse, keep the batteries out of the reach of
children. - Please dispose of used batteries in the appropriate waste collection
bins. To prevent environmental pollution, do not simply discard batteries. - Do
not recharge the batteries. - Do not swallow the batteries. - Do not expose the
batteriestore or theymight explode. - Do not dismantlethe device except for its
battery compartment. - It is recommended that the batteries be removed when
the thermometer is not being used for long periods.
The following two tables are a guide showing average human temperatures
according to the place where the temperatures are taken and age.

Notes: 1. The temperature of a body in good health varies according to a lot of
factors: age, time of day, physical activity, outside temperature, etc., and more
specically when taken on the forehead (inuenced by type of skin (greasy or
dry, wrinkled or otherwise), ambient temperature (air conditioning, etc.). It is
therefore important to establish the range of usual and normal temperatures
for each member of your family to provide benchmarks for detecting any fever.
2.During any consultation, it is important to let your doctor know that the
temperature taken was on the forehead.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- When you start taking a new measurement and in order to ensure accuracy and
goodhygiene,alwaysclean the tipof the probewitha cotton budmoistenedwith
alcohol. Wait for two minutes before taking the temperature again.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body of the thermometer. Never use a rough
towel and never immerse the thermometer in water or other liquids.

• D’une manière générale, la température corporelle est plus basse le matin
et augmente au fur et à mesure de la journée.Veillez donc à mesurer votre
température corporelle au même moment de la journée et dans les mêmes
conditions d’utilisation.
• La prise de température doit se faire dans la zone comprise entre les sourcils
et la racine des cheveux.
• Ne placez pas le thermomètre sur une cicatrice ou sur une peau à problèmes,
sur des plaies ouvertes ou des abrasions ou encore si vous sourez d’un

FONCTIONNEMENT DU THERMOMETRE
Le thermomètre frontal « BABY STONE » de LANAFORM® est un appareil
électronique de haute technologie servant à prendre la température corporelle.
Veillez à retirer le lm protecteur situé dans le compartiment à piles avant
d’utiliser votre thermomètre pour la première fois. Appuyez sur le bouton de
fonctionnement du thermomètre pour l’allumer. (gure 2). L’ensemble des icônes
existantesapparaissentà l’écranpendantune seconde.(gure 3).La dernièreprise
de température s’ache ensuite à l’écran avec l’indication « » (mémoire)
pendant une seconde. (gure 4)
Un signal sonore suivi de l’icône “ ” vous indiquent que vous pouvez
maintenantprendrela température de votreenfant.(gure5) Pour ce faire,posez
délicatement la sonde du thermomètre sur le front de votre bébé en respectant la
position reprise en gure 6 et maintenez la position pendant 5 secondes.
Un avertissement sonore retentira et la température ainsi que le symbole d’un
sablier « » s’acheront instantanément à l’écran pendant une dizaine de
secondes. (gure 7)

Si la température de l’enfant dépasse 37,8°C (100°F), 6 avertissements sonores
consécutifs retentiront. Vous avez ensuite la possibilité de reprendre directement
la température de bébé, un signal sonore suivi de l’icône « » s’achant
de nouveau à l’écran. Après une minute d’inactivité, le thermomètre se mettra
automatiquement en mode veille en achant la température ambiante de
la pièce et l’icône d’une maison « » s’achera à l’écran (gure 8). Si vous
souhaitez de nouveau prendre la température de votre enfant, appuyez sur
le bouton de fonctionnement an d’activer le mode de prise de température
frontale. Pour éteindre le thermomètre, appuyez de nouveau sur ce bouton
de fonctionnement. Pour choisir l’unité de mesure °C ou °F, éteignez le
thermomètre. Maintenez ensuite votre doigt appuyé pendant 5 secondes
sur le bouton de fonctionnement du thermomètre. L’unité de mesure °C ou °F
s’ache à l’écran. Sélectionnez celle souhaitée en appuyant sur ce même bouton
de fonctionnement. Laissez le thermomètre se régler dès que vous avez choisi
l’unité de mesure, celle-ci s’achant à l’écran. N’appuyez plus sur le bouton de
fonctionnement car vous changeriez alors l’unité de mesure choisie.
REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE
1. Pressez sur le couvercle protégeant la pile et faites le glisser vers l’extérieur
an de le retirer. 2. Préparez une nouvelle pile lithium (3V) de type CR2032. 3.
Retirez la pile de son emplacement et remplacez-la par la nouvelle. 4. Replacez
le couvercle de protection.
-Pour éviter tout accident ou toute mauvaise utilisation, veuillez garder
les batteries hors de portée des enfants. - Veuillez déposer les batteries usagées
dansdes bacs de collecte. And’éviter toutepollution environnementale,ne jetez
pas les batteries. - Ne rechargez pas les batteries. - N’avalez pas les batteries. -
N’exposez pas les batteries au feu, elles risqueraient d’exploser. - Ne démontez
pas l’appareil à l’exception de son compartiment à piles. - Il est recommandé
de retirer les batteries lorsque le thermomètre n’est pas utilisé durant une
longue période.

Remarques : 1. La température d’un corps en bonne santé varie en fonction de
nombreux facteurs : âge, heure de la journée, activité physique, température
extérieure,… et plus particulièrement dans le cas d’une prise frontale (inuence
du type de peau (grasse ou sèche, ridée ou non), de la température ambiante
(climatisation)…).
Il est donc important de déterminer pour chaque membre de votre famille quelle

ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE
- Lorsque vous procédez à une nouvelle mesure et an d’assurer la précision
et l’hygiène, nettoyez toujours l’embout de la sonde avec un coton tige imbibé
d’alcool. Attendez deux minutes avant de procéder à une nouvelle prise de
température.
- Utilisez un tissu sec et doux pour nettoyer le corps du thermomètre. N’utilisez

LEES VÓÓR HET GEBRUIKVAN UW THERMOMETER ALLE
INSTRUCTIES, EN IN HET BIJZONDER DEZE UITERST BELANGRIJKE
VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN:
• Zorg ervoor dat u zich bij het gebruik van dit product houdt aan alle
onderstaande voorschriften. Afwijking van deze voorschriften kan de
nauwkeurigheid van de metingen beïnvloeden.
• Controleer of de netspanning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat.
• Houd de thermometer altijd uit de buurt van warmtebronnen zoals kachels,
radiatoren, enz.
• Gebruik dit apparaat niet in ruimtes waar aerosolproducten (sprays) worden
gebruikt of waar zuurstof wordt toegediend.
• Stel de thermometer niet bloot aan direct zonlicht, hoge temperaturen,
vocht of vuil.
• Dompel het apparaat niet in water onder.
• Laat het apparaat niet vallen en gebruik het niet meer als het beschadigd is.
• Dit apparaat moet gebruikt worden bij een omgevingstemperatuur tussen
15 en 35 °C.
• Stel de thermometer niet bloot aan elektrische schokken.

• Stel de thermometer niet bloot aan extreme temperaturen, hoger dan 55
°C of lager dan -25 °C.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet bij een relatieve vochtigheid hoger dan 95% of
lager dan 10%.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet in de buurt van sterke elektromagnetische velden
zoals die van draadloze of mobiele telefoons enz.
• De nauwkeurigheid van de meting kan worden verstoord wanneer het
voorhoofd is bedekt met haar, een muts of een sjaal.
• Wacht na het nemen van een douche, na het sporten, eten of drinken
minstens 30 minuten alvorens de temperatuur te meten.
• Er wordt aanbevolen om de thermometer, vóór gebruik, ongeveer 10 minuten
in de kamer te leggen.
• Het gebruik van deze thermometer is niet bedoeld als vervanging voor een
bezoek aan uw huisarts.
• Neem contact op met uw verkoper in geval van een probleem met het
apparaat.
• Probeer het apparaat nooit zelf te herstellen.
• Haal het toestel niet volledig uit elkaar.
• Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen, kinderen inbegrepen,

• Gebruik de thermometer uitsluitend voor de in deze handleiding beschreven

• De thermometer werd vooraf ingesteld in de fabriek. Het is dus niet nodig om
het apparaat bij het eerste gebruik te kalibreren.
• Plaats de thermometer, na gebruik, terug op zijn basis en houd hem buiten
het bereik van kinderen.
• De voorhoofdthermometer met sonde mag enkel worden gebruikt om de
temperatuur via het voorhoofd te meten. Gebruik hem niet om de temperatuur
rectaal, oraal, auriculair of axillair te meten.
• In het algemeen is de lichaamstemperatuur‘s ochtends het laagste en
stijgt ze geleidelijk aan in de loop van de dag. Zorg er dus voor dat u uw
lichaamstemperatuur telkens op hetzelfde moment van de dag en onder
dezelfde omstandigheden meet.
• De temperatuur moet worden gemeten in het gebied tussen de wenkbrauwen
en de haarlijn.
• Gebruik de thermometer niet op een litteken of op een gevoelige huid, een
open wonde, een schaafwonde of in geval van een fysiek trauma.
• Raadpleeg uw arts indien u geneesmiddelen gebruikt. Deze kunnen leiden tot
een verhoging van uw lichaamstemperatuur.
• De prestaties van het apparaat kunnen afnemen indien de thermometer
buiten wordt gebruikt of bewaard.
• De thermometer is alleen geschikt voor gebruik binnenshuis.

WERKING VAN DE THERMOMETER
De voorhoofdthermometer «BABY STONE» van LANAFORM® is een
hoogtechnologisch elektronisch apparaat voor het meten van de
lichaamstemperatuur. Verwijder vóór het eerste gebruik van de thermometer
de beschermende folie uit het batterijcompartiment. Schakel de thermometer in
door op de On/O-knop te drukken (afbeelding 2).
Gedurende één seconde verschijnen alle bestaande symbolen op het scherm
(afbeelding 3). Met de aanduiding « » (geheugen) verschijnt vervolgens
het laatst gemeten resultaat gedurende één seconde op het scherm (afbeelding
4). Een geluidssignaal gevolgd door het symbool “ ” geeft aan dat u de
temperatuur van uw kind mag meten. (afbeelding 5) Houd de sonde van de
thermometer gedurende 5 seconden voorzichtig tegen het voorhoofd van uw
baby, zoals afgebeeld op afbeelding 6. U hoort opnieuw een geluidssignaal
waarna de temperatuur en het symbool van een zandloper « » onmiddellijk
en gedurende een tiental seconden op het scherm zullen verschijnen (afbeelding
7). Indien u 6 opeenvolgende pieptonen hoort, dan betekent dit dat de
temperatuur van het kind hoger ligt dan 37,8 °C (100 °F).Indien gewenst, kunt
u de temperatuur van uw baby onmiddellijk opnieuw meten, een geluidssignaal
gevolgd door het symbool « » zal dan opnieuw op het scherm verschijnen.
Wanneer de thermometer een minuut lang niet wordt gebruikt, schakelt het
automatisch over op slaapmodus: de omgevingstemperatuur van de kamer
en het symbool van een huisje « » szullen dan op het scherm verschijnen
(afbeelding 8). Indien u de temperatuur van uw kind opnieuw wilt meten, druk
dan op de On/O-knop om de functie voor het meten van de temperatuur via het
voorhoofd aan te zetten. Druk opnieuw op de On/O-knop om de thermometer
weer uit te schakelen. Schakel de thermometer uit om de temperatuurschaal

te selecteren (°C of °F). Houd vervolgens de On/O-knop van de thermometer
gedurende 5 seconden ingedrukt. De temperatuurschalen van °C en °F
verschijnen op het scherm. Druk op dezelfde On/O-knop om de gewenste schaal
te selecteren. Zodra u de temperatuurschaal heeft gekozen, zal de thermometer
zichzelf instellen en de gekozen schaal op het scherm weergeven. Druk niet meer
op de On/O-knop, want dan zou u de gekozen schaal kunnen veranderen.
DE BATTERIJVERVANGEN
1. Verwijder het beschermingsdeksel van het batterijcompartiment door het
neerwaarts te drukken en van het batterijcompartiment te schuiven. 2. Leg
een nieuwe lithiumbatterij (3V) van het type CR2032 klaar. 3. Haal de batterij
uit het batterijcompartiment en vervang door de nieuwe batterij. 4. Sluit het
beschermingsdeksel.
- Houd de batterijen uit de buurt van kinderen om ongevallen of verkeerd
gebruik te voorkomen. - Verwijder lege batterijen in de daarvoor voorziene
inzamelbakken. Denk aan het milieu en werp de batterijen niet weg. - Laad de
batterijen niet opnieuw op. - Slik de batterijen niet in. - Stel de batterijen niet
bloot aan vuur om het risico op ontplong te voorkomen. - Haal het apparaat
niet uit elkaar, met uitzondering van het batterijcompartiment. - We raden aan
om de batterijen uit de thermometer te halen wanneer hij gedurende een lange
periode niet wordt gebruikt.

weergegeven van de mens naargelang de meetmethode en naargelang de leeftijd.

Opmerkingen : 1. Bij een gezonde persoon wordt de lichaamstemperatuur
bepaald door talrijke factoren zoals de leeftijd, het moment van de dag, de
lichamelijke activiteit, de buitentemperatuur, vooral in het geval van een meting
via het voorhoofd (die wordt beïnvloed door het huidtype (vette of droge huid,
al dan niet gerimpelde huid), de omgevingstemperatuur (airconditioning)...).
Daarom is het belangrijk om voor elk gezinslid het gebruikelijke en normale
temperatuurbereik te bepalen om een herkenningspunt te hebben bij het
ontstaan van koorts.
2.Bij elke raadpleging is het van belang om uw arts te melden dat de
temperatuur met een voorhoofdthermometer werd gemeten.
