Voorwoord

De Rollit is een comfortabele en stevige rolstoel voor
permanent gebruik. Door een solide basisframe is de
Rollit ook uitermate geschikt voor intensief gebruik.
Deze praktische ‘no nonsense’ rolstoel koppelt een
extreme duurzaamheid aan uitstekend zitcomfort en
rijgedrag.
De Rollit is eenvoudig te bedienen door zowel
gebruiker als begeleider. Om de stoel aan te passen
aan een specifieke gebruiker, zijn er een aantal extra
onderdelen en accessoires verkrijgbaar.
De Rollit is spatwaterbestendig en geschikt voor
gebruik zowel binnens- als buitenshuis.
Het maximaal gewicht inzittende is 160 kg.
De Rollit is niet getest conform ISO 7176-19. Derhalve
adviseert Life & Mobility de stoel niet met inzittende
te vervoeren per taxi.
Let op:
nLees voordat u de rolstoel in gebruik neemt deze
gebruiksaanwijzing goed door.
nZiet u dit teken in de handleiding, dan volgt een
aanvullende instructie. Volg deze instructies altijd
op. Nalatigheid kan de werking van de rolstoel
nadelig beïnvloeden en mogelijk leiden tot
lichamelijk letsel of tot schade aan de rolstoel of
het milieu.

het niet naleven van de veiligheidsvoorschriften.
Algemeen
Waarschuwing:
nWijzig de constructie van de rolstoel nooit.
nBlijf met de rolstoel uit de buurt van open vuur.
Let op:
nDeze rolstoel is geschikt voor het vervoeren van
één persoon.
nGebruik uitsluitend originele Life & Mobility
onderdelen en accessoires.
nDe veiligheidsinstructies en stickers nooit afdekken
of verwijderen.
Eisen aan de persoon
Let op:
nU dient voldoende gezichtsvermogen te hebben
om in elke mogelijke gebruikssituatie veilig met
de rolstoel te kunnen rijden.
Monteren en afstellen

Waarschuwing:
nControleer voordat u de rolstoel gebruikt of alle
onderdelen van de rolstoel goed gemonteerd zijn
en goed vastzitten.

Let op:
nTil de rolstoel alleen aan vaste framedelen en
niet aan afneembare accessoires als armleggers,
beensteunen etc.
Hellingen en andere obstakels
(zie ook pag. NL 17 voor meer informatie)
Let op:
nDe kans op kantelen van de rolstoel is op een
helling groter dan op een vlakke ondergrond.
nGa altijd achteruit een stoep af, zodat de rolstoel
niet voorover kan hellen en u uit de stoel valt.
nRijd zelf nooit met de rolstoel van een trap af.
nRijd nooit een helling op met een hellingshoek
van meer dan 5°.
nRoep hulp in van derden wanneer u er niet zeker
van bent dat u het hoogste punt zelfstandig haalt.
nDe begeleider die de rolstoel voortbeweegt, moet
blijven duwen om te voorkomen dat de rolstoel uit
eigen beweging gaat rijden.
nKeer niet op een steile helling. Wanneer de
rolstoel dwars op een steile helling staat, is de
kans op kantelen groot.
nHoud bij het afdalen altijd uw snelheid onder
controle.
nDe begeleider dient de rolstoel af te remmen aan
de duwhandvatten.
nIndien u zelf rijdt, de rolstoel uitsluitend met uw
handen aan de hoepels afremmen en niet met de
bandrem. Anders bestaat de mogelijkheid dat u
de controle over de rolstoel verliest.
Veiligheidsvoorschriften

Zitten in de rolstoel
Waarschuwing:
nZorg dat vingers en ledematen van de inzittende
niet bekneld raken. Wees vooral waakzaam:
- Wanneer de inzittende scheef in de stoel hangt.
- Wanneer de inzittende zijn/haar armen over de
armlegger slap omlaag heeft hangen.
- Wanneer er een combinatie is van bovenstaande
gevallen.
nDoor een onjuiste zithouding kunnen drukplekken
ontstaan. Als u hier onzeker over bent, neem dan
direct contact op met uw arts of therapeut.
Rijden met de rolstoel
Let op:
nBij het oprijden van een helling zal het zwaartepunt
zich verplaatsen en kan de rolstoel makkelijker
achterover kantelen.
nDenk om uw handen tijdens het hoepelen wanneer
er aan de zijkant(en) van de rolstoel weinig ruimte is.
nBegeleiders mogen de rolstoel nooit ongeremd
op een helling achterlaten.
nNeem obstakels hoger dan 10 cm nooit alleen.
Alleen geoefende rijders, die over voldoende
kracht beschikken, zijn over het algemeen in staat
obstakels tot 10 cm te nemen.
nZet de rolstoel op de rem voordat u instapt,
uitstapt of een transfer maakt.
nGebruik de bandrem alleen om de stilstaande
wielen te blokkeren. De rem is ongeschikt om de
rolstoel af te remmen.
Transport van de rolstoel
Levensgevaarlijk:
nDe rolstoel is niet Crashtest Safe en daarom niet
geschikt voor vervoer met inzittende per taxi.
nNeem bij vervoer van de rolstoel plaats in een
vaste zitplaats van het motorvoertuig.

Controle van de levering
Controleer voordat u de rolstoel gaat gebruiken of
de levering overeenkomt met de productbeschrijving
op pagina 11. Indien u bij aflevering transportschade
constateert, geef dit dan door aan uw dealer. Life
& Mobility vertrouwt erop dat de Rollit aan uw
verwachtingen voldoet en wenst u er veel gemak van.

Waarschuwing:
nZet de rolstoel niet in direct zonlicht: de bekleding
kan heet worden met mogelijk verbranding of
overgevoeligheid van de huid tot gevolg.
Voorzichtig:
nLaat de rolstoel niet in contact komen met
zeewater: zeewater is agressief en tast de rolstoel
aan.
nLaat de rolstoel niet in contact komen met zand:
zand kan doordringen tot in de draaiende delen
van de rolstoel, waardoor onnodig snelle slijtage
optreedt.

Instellingen en verstellingen

De rolstoel beschikt over diverse instel- en
verstelmogelijkheden waarmee de stoel aan
uw eigen wensen kan worden aangepast. De
verstellingen kunt u eenvoudig zelf uitvoeren.
Let op:
nControleer of de zijkanten in de houders zijn
geplaatst en niet ernaast. Dit kan de zijkanten
en wielen beschadigen.
De zijkanten opklappen
Pak de voorkant van de armlegger, til deze op
en klap de gehele zijkant naar achteren weg.
De beensteunen uitnemen
De beensteunen zijn eenvoudig uit het frame
te nemen door deze aan het ophangdeel te
pakken en met een opwaartse beweging uit te
nemen.
De beensteunen wegzwenken
1. Til de beensteun iets op.
2. Zwenk de beensteun opzij.
3. Laat de beensteun weer zakken.
Let op:
nZorg dat de voetplaten opgeklapt zijn
alvorens u uit de rolstoel stapt. Ga nooit op
de voetplaten staan. De kans bestaat dat de
rolstoel hierdoor voorover kantelt.
nGebruik de voetplaten nooit als opstapje.
Instellingen en verstellingen

Onderbeenlengte instellen
1. Draai de inbusschroef of sterknop (A) een
slag los.
2. Stel de gewenste onderbeenlengte in.
Let op:
nHoud rekening met een afstand van
minimaal 5 cm tot de vloer.
3. Draai de inbusschroef of sterknop weer
vast.

Het nemen van hindernissen met een begeleider
1. Duw met uw voet op de trapbuis en druk de
duwhandvatten omlaag.
2. Duw de rolstoel op de verhoging (hindernis) en
laat de trapbuis weer los.
3. Duw de rolstoel verder en til de achterwielen aan
de duwhandvatten over de hindernis.
Het oprijden van een stoep kan men voorwaarts
doen, het afrijden van een stoep is beter achterwaarts
uit te voeren.
Let op:
nHoud bij het afgaan van een helling de snelheid
onder controle.
Remmen
De remmen van de rolstoel zijn standaard vanuit de
fabriek op de juiste wijze afgesteld. Life & Mobility
raadt u aan altijd beide remmen tegelijk te gebruiken
bij het in- en uitstappen.

Het uitnemen en plaatsen van de hoofdsteun*
De hoofdsteun is eenvoudig uit te nemen:
1. Draai de sterknop los.
2. Neem de hoofdsteun uit.
Het terugplaatsen gaat als volgt:

Het maken van transfers
De Rollit is een rolstoel voor gebruikers met diver-
se beperkingen. Transfers van rolstoel naar bijvoor-
beeld bed, toilet of douche en andersom kunnen
op verschillende manieren worden gemaakt.
De mate waarin de rolstoelgebruiker medewerking
kan verlenen, bepaalt de wijze van tillen. Zowel ac-
tieve als passieve transfers zijn bij de Rollit, al dan
niet met behulp van hulpverlener of tillift, mogelijk.
Let op:
nZet de rolstoel te allen tijde op de rem voordat
een transfer wordt gemaakt.
Voorwaartse transfer
1. Klap de voetplaten op. Of zwenk de voet-
steunen eventueel weg.
2. Zet de stoel op de rem.
Zijwaartse transfer
Klap eventueel de zijkanten voorzien van
armleggers naar achteren omhoog.

Onderhoud

Klein onderhoud (iedere twee weken)
Klein onderhoud aan de Rollit kunt u zelf uitvoeren.
Reinigen
Reinig uw rolstoel met een vochtige doek, water en
allesreiniger.
Let op:
nGebruik nooit schurende en agressieve
schoonmaak- of oplosmiddelen zoals thinner,
wasbenzine en dergelijke.
Controleer of alle bevestigingsonderdelen goed vast-
zitten. Draai deze zonodig opnieuw aan.
Let op:
nHet met overmatige kracht aandraaien van de
schroeven kan de rolstoel beschadigen.
Desinfenctie
De rolstoel mag gedesinfecteerd worden met alcohol
(70%) of chloor (1000 p.p.m.)
Groot onderhoud (jaarlijks)
Uw dealer zal graag het groot onderhoud aan de
rolstoel voor zijn rekening nemen. Op deze wijze bent
u er zeker van dat u optimaal gebruik maakt van uw
rolstoel. Ook voor het vervangen van onderdelen,
kunt u terecht bij uw dealer.
Technische problemen
NL19
Wanneer zich onverhoopt directe technische
problemen voordoen aan uw rolstoel, raden wij
u aan contact op te nemen met uw dealer. De
dealer zal beoordelen of hij de stoel kan repareren
of dat de stoel voor reparatie terug moet naar de
fabrikant.
Een aantal problemen kunt u wellicht zelf
oplossen.
Beweegbare onderdelen zoals armlegger, voet-/
beensteun en zijkant zitten vast:
nDoor te grote krachten op boven-
genoemde onderdelen, kunnen de onder-
delen zich hebben vastgeklemd in het
frame. Tik voorzichtig de onderdelen met
een kunststof hamer los.
De remmen hebben onvoldoende remkracht of
remmen niet met dezelfde remkracht aan beide
kanten:
nU dient de remmen te laten stellen,
raadpleeg hiervoor uw dealer.
Let op:
nAlle andere reparaties dan bovenstaand
vermeld, dienen altijd uitgevoerd te worden
door een erkende dealer. Door onzorgvuldige
reparaties kan uw gezondheid in gevaar
komen. Bovendien komt de garantie op
het product te vervallen. Gebruik gezond
verstand en oordeel of u zelf in staat bent
technische problemen aan de stoel op te
lossen. Wanneer u twijfelt, raadpleeg dan
altijd uw dealer. Houdt u zich bij het instellen
en in-en uitplaatsen van onderdelen aan
deze handleiding en aan de adviezen van uw
dealer. Sluit elke gevaarlijke situatie voor de
begeleider en voor de inzittende van de stoel
uit!

Garantievoorwaarden
De producten van Life & Mobility zijn met zorg
samengesteld en nauwkeurig gecontroleerd voordat
zij de fabriek verlaten. Mocht blijken dat een product
niet aan de verwachtingen voldoet, dan kunt u
zich wenden tot de partij waar u het product heeft
aangeschaft.
Life & Mobility respecteert de wet- en regelgeving, ter
bescherming van de consument, die van toepassing
zijn in het land van aanschaf.
Buiten de garantie vallen gebreken ontstaan door:
niet in acht nemen van gebruiks- en onderhouds-
voorschriften, anders dan normaal gebruik, slijtage,
onachtzaamheid, overbelasting, ongeval door
derden, toegepaste, niet originele onderdelen en
gebreken waarvan de oorzaak is gelegen buiten het
product.
Met deze garantie vervalt elke andere garantie; in de
wet bepaald, of mondeling meegedeeld, behoudens
dat wat door Life & Mobility schriftelijk wordt
gegarandeerd.
Garanties gelden uitsluitend binnen de EU.
Afvoeren product en verpakking

Afvoeren product en verpakking
Vanuit milieuoogpunt adviseren wij om de verpakking
en de rolstoel zoveel mogelijk gescheiden af te voeren
zodat de gebruikte materialen efficiënt gerecycled
kunnen worden.
In de meeste gevallen kunt u uw gebruikte
rolstoel inleveren bij uw rolstoeldealer. Als dit niet
mogelijk is kunt u de rolstoel afleveren bij uw lokale
afvalinzamelingspunt.

permanent use. A solid base frame also makes the
Rollit suitable for intensive use. This practical “no
nonsense” wheelchair combines extreme durability
with superb comfort seating and riding behaviour.
The Rollit is easy to use for both user and attendant.
The wheelchair can be adjusted for a specific user by
using additional parts and accessories.
The Rollit is resistant to water splashes and is suitable
for indoor and outdoor use.
The maximum occupant weight is 160 kg.
The Rollit has not been tested in accordance with ISO
7176-19. For this reason, Life & Mobility recommends
that the wheelchair does not have an occupant when
it is transported by taxi.

nWhen transporting the wheelchair, always make
sure you are seated in a fixed seat of the motor
vehicle.
Attention:
nOnly lift the wheelchair using fixed parts of the
frame; do not use the removable accessories such
as armrests, footrests, etc.
Slopes and other obstacles
(see also page 17 for more information)
Attention:
nThe risk of the wheelchair tipping over on a slope
is greater than on a flat surface.
nAlways reverse backwards down a step so that the
wheelchair cannot tip forward and let you fall.
nNever ride the wheelchair on stairs by yourself.
nNever ride on a slope with an angle of more than
5 degrees.
nAsk for help from bystanders when you are not sure
that you can reach the highest point by yourself.
nThe attendant pushing the wheelchair must
continue to push the wheelchair to prevent it
running away.
nDo not turn around on a steep slope. If the
wheelchair is at the diagonal on a steep slope, it
will significantly increase the risk of tipping.
nWhen going down a slope, always keep your
speed under control.
nThe assistant must brake the wheelchair using the
push bars.
nWhen moving the wheelchair by yourself, only
use your hands on the handrims to brake and do
not use the tyre brake. Otherwise, you risk losing
control of the wheelchair.

Sitting in the wheelchair
Warning:
nMake sure the fingers and limbs of the person in
the wheelchair do not get trapped. Always be very
careful:
- When the occupant is sitting lopsided in the
wheelchair.
- When the occupant’s arms hang limply over the
armrest.
- When both of the above occur.
nAn incorrect sitting posture can cause points
of pressure. If you are uncertain about this then
immediately contact your doctor or therapist.
Driving the wheelchair
Attention:
nWhen driving up a slope, the centre of gravity will
shift and the wheelchair can tip backwards more
easily.
nPay attention to your hands when using the
handrims if there is not much room at the side(s)
of the wheelchair.
nAssistants must never leave the wheelchair on a
slope without applying the brakes.
nNever tackle obstacles higher than 10 cm on
your own. Only practised wheelchair riders that
have sufficient strength are usually able to tackle
obstacles higher than 10 cm.
nSet the brake on the wheelchair before getting
into or out of the wheelchair.
nOnly use the brake to lock the wheels when
standing still. The brake is not suitable for braking
the wheelchair.
Transporting the wheelchair
Extremely dangerous:
nThe wheelchair is not Crash Test Safe, which means
it is not suitable transportation in a taxi when the
wheelchair is carrying an occupant.

Before using the wheelchair, check that the delivery
matches the product description on page 11. If you
find any transport damage on delivery, please inform
your dealer. Life & Mobility trusts that the wheelchair
meets your expectations and hopes it brings you
much convenience.

Warning:
nDo not put the wheelchair in direct sunlight: the
upholstery can overheat and may cause burns or
irritation to the skin.
Be careful:
nDo not allow the wheelchair to come in contact
with seawater as it is corrosive and will rust the
wheelchair.
nDo not allow the wheelchair to come in contact
with sand, as it may penetrate into the moving
parts of the wheelchair, causing unnecessarily fast
wear and tear.

The wheelchair can be adjusted in various way
to meet your particular needs. The adjustments
are easy to carry out by yourself.
Attention:
nCheck whether the sides are secured in the
holders and not to the sides. Otherwise, it
may damage the sides and wheels.
Fold up the sides
Grasp and lift the front of the armrest and fold
the entire side to the back.
Removing the leg rests
The leg rests are easy to remove from the frame.
Grasp the section it is hung on and remove with
an upwards motion.
Swinging the leg rests out
1. Lift the leg rest up a little.
2. Swing the leg rest to the side.
3. Lower the leg rest again.
Attention:
nMake sure the foot plates are folded up
before you get out of the wheelchair. Never
stand on the foot plates. Otherwise, you risk
toppling forward in the wheelchair.
nNever use the foot plates to step into the

Negotiating obstacles with an attendant
1. Push the step tube down with your foot and push
the handles down with your hands.
2. Push the wheelchair onto the elevation (obstacle)
and take your foot off the step tube.
3. Push the wheelchair further and lift the rear wheels
over the obstacle with the push handles.
Go up steps forward and down steps backward.
Attention:
nKeep speed under control when going down a
gentle slope.
Brakes
The wheelchair brakes are adjusted to the proper set-
ting at the factory as standard. Life & Mobility recom-
mends that you always use both brakes when getting
in or out of the wheelchair.

1. Unscrew the star grip until loose.
2. Remove the headrest.

Making transfers
The Rollit is a wheelchair for users with various limi-
tations. Transfers from the wheelchair to the bed,
toilet or shower, and so on, and vice versa, can be
carried out in different ways.
The lifting method depends on the degree to
which the wheelchair user can cooperate. The
wheelchair enables both active and passive trans-
fers with or without the help of an assistant or a lift.
Attention:
nAlways set the brake on the wheelchair before
making a transfer.
Transfer from the front
1. Fold up the foot plates. Or, if necessary, swing
out the foot rests.
2. Engage the wheelchair brake.
Transfer from the side
If necessary, fold the sides fitted with arm rests up
and backwards.

Technical problems

Should your wheelchair be subject to unexpected
technical problems, we advise you to contact
your dealer. The dealer will assess whether he can
repair the chair or whether the wheelchair has to
be returned to the manufacturer for repairs.
You may be able to solve a number of problems
yourself.
Moving parts, such as, arm rest, foot/leg rests,
and sides will not move:
nThe above-mentioned parts may have
become stuck in the frame when excessive
force was used on these parts. Carefully
tap the components using a plastic
hammer.
The brakes do not have sufficient braking power
or the brakes on either side do not have the same
braking power:
nYou must have the brakes adjusted.
Consult your dealer for this task.
Attention:
nAll repairs other than those mentioned above
always should be carried out by a certified
dealer. Careless repairs can endanger your
health. Moreover, the warranty on the product
will be cancelled. Use common sense and
decide whether you yourself are capable of
solving technical problems of the chair. Always
consult your dealer if you have any doubt.
When fitting and replacing parts, you must
comply with this manual and your dealer’s
advice. Prevent any hazardous situation
occurring for the assistant and the occupant
of the chair!
Maintenance

Minor maintenance (every 2 weeks)
You can perform minor maintenance on the Rollit
yourself.
Cleaning
Clean your wheelchair with a damp cloth, water and
multi-purpose cleaner.
Attention:
nNever use abrasive or harsh cleaning products
or solvents, such as thinner, benzine (a.k.a. white
spirit), etc.
Check that all fastening parts are properly fastened.
Re-tighten them if necessary.
Attention:
nTightening the adjustment screw too much can
damage the wheelchair.
Disinfecting
You may use alcohol (70%) or chlorine (1,000 ppm) to
disinfect the wheelchair.
Major maintenance (annual)
Your dealer would be happy to handle the major
maintenance for your wheelchair. That way you are
certain you are getting the best possible use from
your wheelchair. You can also go to your dealer for
parts replacement.
