Overview
LinMot PR01 Linear-Rotary Motors
The LinMot PR01 series of Line r-Rot ry motors includes v rious sizes th t differ prim rily in the m ximum torque
v il ble from the rot ry motor or the line r force v il ble from the line r motor. In ddition to the different sizes,
v ri nts with xi l through-holes (for pneum tic line or n ejector, for ex mple) nd st inless steel models re
v il ble.
A Line r-Rot ry motor fund ment lly consists of line r motor with n tt ched rot ry torque motor. The two
motors re electric lly independent units nd c n be controlled completely independently of e ch other.

Startup

Homing the Rotary Motor
No homing is necess ry, bec use the rot ry motor uses n bsolute me surement system (single turn).
Homing the Linear Motor
If the line r motor is homed to the intern l stop of the Line r-Rot ry motor, then the m ximum homing velocity must
be no gre ter th n 0.01 m/s.
Example of VAI motion with Rotary Motor
The LinMot T lk progr m uses units on the p r meter p ge the s me w y they re used to ctu te line r motors.
In order to control rot ry motor, therefore, r tio between one motor revolution (360°) nd the line r tr vel
dist nce must be defined (by default, 1 revolution through 3 0° corresponds to a linear travel distance of 3
mm).
