infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached
the manufacturers recommended maximum weight of 9kg,

the primary and secondary locks. These should be free
to move at all times.

• Werecommendaserviceevery12months.
• Ifwheelssqueak,lubricatesparinglywithWD40Teon
or silicone coating.Do NOT use oil or grease based products,
as this will attract dirt, which will clog the movement.
• OnlyMaclarenreplacementpartsshouldbeused.It
may be unsafe to use replacement parts other than those
supplied by Maclaren.
washing and care instructions
• Cleantheframewithadampclothandamilddetergent
and dry thoroughly, do not use abrasives.
• Ifthestrollerchassispartshavebeenexposedtosaltwater
we recommend that they be rinsed down with fresh (tap)
water as soon as possible afterwards.
• Thehoodmaybespongedlightlyusingadampclothand
mild detergent.
• Theseatcoverandothersoftgoodsmaybewashedby
following the directions on the care label attached to the
item. Ensure all items are dried thoroughly before replacing
or using them on the product. Failure to dry the fabrics
thoroughly could lead to the formation of mildew.
• ThesoftcarrycotmaybewashedbyunfasteningtheVelcro
strips on the 5 stiener pockets – Remove the stieners –
wash the fabric body following the directions on the fabric
care label axed to the fabric – ensure the Soft Carry Cot
body is thoroughly dry. The padding may still be wet when
the face fabric feels dry. Failure to dry the fabrics thoroughly
could lead to the formation of mildew – when thoroughly
dry, insert the stieners into the pockets and seal the pockets
with the Velcro. The carrycot must not be used without all
stieners installed.

1to open the product
APush the locking lever down.
BLift the handle until it “CLICKS” into the fully up
position. This will automatically engage both
primary and secondary locks.
IMPORTANT Ensure that all locking devices are
engaged before use.
2to attach the seat
This seat must only be used with the GRAND
TOUR LX chassis and is suitable for use when
your child can sit up unaided.
NOTE The seat may be tted in either the
forward facing or rearward facing position.
ALower the seat, ensuring the seat attachment
pegs enter the corresponding holes in the
frame, until both sides “CLICK” into position.
B IMPORTANT Check that the seat unit attachment
devices are correctly engaged before using
the GT. To test, pull up on the seat once you have
installed it.

4to attach the bumper arm bar
AUsing the bar itself, push in BOTH tabs.
B Slide the bar upwards into the tracks until BOTH
sides “CLICK” into position. Pull the bar to check
for a secure attachment.
CTo remove, press BOTH catches at the side of
the seat and keep depressed, slide the bar down
the tracks.
IMPORTANT Test that the Bumper Bar is rmly
xed before transporting your child. DO NOT lift
your child in the GRAND TOUR LX or in the seat
alone using the Bumper Bar. It is NOT designed
to function as a carry handle. The bar is not a
substitution for the safety harness which should
ALWAYS be used when the child is in the seat.
The product is delivered with two covers for the
tracks to give a neat appearance to the stroller
when the bumper bar has been removed – they
are attached and removed by following the
same procedure in A-C above.
3to attach the hood
AEnsure the rear apron fabric of the hood is over
the back of the seat.
B Slide the hood fully onto BOTH
corresponding pegs.
C To open the hood push the front hood forward.
D Push down on the hood tensioners to brace
the hood.
E To open the front visor pull the visor panel
forward.
F Unzipforventilation.
G To remove, close the hood and pull up to slide
the hood from the pegs on the seat.

5to recline the seat
Lift lever and tilt to desired position – 3 recline
positions are available.
Check for security before use.
6to adjust the height of
the handle
APress the two buttons on the handle arms.
B Raise or lower the handle until it “clicks” into
positionattherequiredheight.
The handle has 3 height positions.
NOTE It is important that the handle be
adjusted to the same height on both sides
of the stroller.

7 to operate the brake
ATo apply the brake press the centre pedal on the
lower cross bar down with your foot. Check
that the brake has been correctly applied before
leaving the stroller.
BTo release the brake raise the centre pedal on
the lower cross bar with your foot.
IMPORTANT Apply the brake when putting your
child into or taking your child out of the stroller
and never leave the stroller unattended without
applying the brake. Always check to ensure
brake is applied.

9to adjust the shoulder straps
The shoulder straps should be adjusted to suit
thesizeofyourchild.Ideallyfortheactivechild
the straps should enter the seat just below the
height of your child’s shoulders when sitting in
the upright position.

A Unziptherearoftheseatcovertogainaccess
to the back of the seat body.
B Twist buckle and thread to remove.
C Twist buckle to rethread at the selected height.
D Closethezipatthebackoftheseat.
to operate the harness
AVOID SERIOUS INJURY FROM
FALLING OR SLIDING OUT. ALWAYS
USE THE CROTCH STRAP IN
COMBINATION WITH THE WAIST
AND SHOULDER STRAPS.
ATo release the harness press BOTH the front and
back of the buckle simultaneously.
B To t the harness – Place the shoulder straps
over the child’s shoulders and slide onto the
waist clips if not already attached.
C Insert both waist clips into the clasp, shoulder
straps are secured once the clips are fastened.
D Adjust strap lengths. Belt and harness should
be snug. Re-adjust to suit the recline position
if necessary.

to operate the lights
To use the lights for the rst time it may be
necessary to remove the isolating strip in the
batterycompartment-seeinstruction12.
The lights are provided as a safety feature to
provide visibility of the stroller in the dark –
they will not light the way.
A Toturnthelights‘on’usetheon/obutton
located beneath the footrest at the front of the
stroller – the lights will display as a continuous
white light.
B Pressing the “mode” button, also located on
the underside of the footrest, will change the
whitelighttoanalternatingwhite/red/green
ashing display.
C Pressing the mode button again will change the
displaytoaashingred/greendisplay.
D Pressing the mode button again will return to
display to a constant white light.
A remote operating unit is provided and may
beusedtochangesequenceofthedisplayas
described above.
NOTE The sensor for the remote beam is located
in one of the light units and it may be necessary
to angle the sensor to allow a direct line to the
sensor to give ecient operation. The remote
operatingunithasarangeof6m(10ft).The
Remote Unit has a cord and clip attached which
may be attached, for safe keeping to the clip in
the pocket on the rear of the seat.
E Toswitchthelights‘o’eitherusetheon/o
switchonthestrollerorontheremote‘button–
thisautomaticallyputsthelightsontoa24hour
standbyandactivationbyoperatingtheon/o
button on either the footplate or the remote
during this period will resume the previous
mode.Afterthisperiodthefullsequencefrom
‘A’abovewillneedtobeused.Themodemaybe
changed using either the mode button on the
footplateorthe‘+button’ontheremote.

RECOMMENDATION When turning “o” the lights,
pleasemakesurethe“masterON/OFF”switch
beneath the footplate is used. This “powers down”
the entire electronic system so that no battery
“drainage” is incurred. The Remote Control unit
will not function when the entire system is
powered down.
If, however, this master switch is not used there is
an automatic “power down” function which kicks in
after24Hoursofnon-use.
Oncethe“master”ON/OFFswitchbeneaththe
footplate is used to turn “OFF” the unit, the same
“master”ON/OFF”switchbeneaththefootplate
must be used to power “ON” the lights also allowing
the Remote Control unit to be used.
The normal function of the product may be
disturbed by Strong Electro Magnetic Interference.
If so, simply reset the product to resume normal
operation by following this instruction.

to change the battery
NOTE Children should be kept clear when
changing batteries. Batteries, covers and isolat-
ing strips are small items which could constitute
achockinghazard.Ensurecoversarereplaced
securely.
on the stroller:
A Unscrew the small screw on the lid of the
battery compartment underneath the footplate.
B Replace the battery using 3 x AAA non
rechargeable batteries, place the batteries in
the correct position, using the diagram within
the compartment.
C Replace the battery compartment cover and
replace the xing screw making sure that it is
tted and sealed correctly.
on the remote unit:
D Press and slide the cover on the back of the
remote to remove the lid.
E ReplacetheoldbatterywithaCR2032cell
battery noting the correct position as shown
on the back of the compartment.
F Replace the cover making sure that it is secure.
on the strollometer®: see separate instruction
on the strollometer® sensor:
Located on the right hand rear leg of the stroller
If sensor reception is poor OR the green light no
longer ashes on the sensor per wheel rotation,
it is time to change the sensor battery. It is best
to replace both the console and sensor batteries
when a low battery icon is displayed on the
console. To change the console battery, refer to
the separate Strollometer® instruction section.
to change the sensor battery:
Remove the adjacent rear wheel – see
instruction15–togivebetteraccessto
the sensor.
G Locate the circular cover on the R.H. rear leg of
the stroller.
H Use a coin to twist the cover counter-clockwise
until it is loose enough to remove.
I InsertaCR2450lithiumbatterypositive(+)sideup.
J Use a coin to twist the cover back on.

Your Maclaren Grand Tour Transport System is
provided with useful instruments which can
be viewed by unclipping the hinged cover on
the housing in the centre of the handle.
Two instruments are provided – a thermometer
and an analogue clock.
NOTE The clock has an accuracy of less than
30secondspermonthatnormaltemperature
range. The Thermometer has an accuracy of
2.5˚C at temperatures below 65 ˚C.
ATo remove the instruments press the back of
the instrument through the hole in the housing
behind the instrument.
BTo remove and replace the battery in the
clock – using the blade of small screwdriver, or
similar tool, lever the back from the body of the
clock. Replace the battery, noting the correct
polarity. Alternatively take the instrument to a
watch repairer for them to replace the battery.
UseonlybatterySR626SW(SEIZAIKEN).
C Toset/resetthetime–Removeandcarefully
pull out the button on the side of the clock.
Turn the knob to adjust. When nished push the
knob rmly back into the body. (This operation
is similar to most watches)
NOTE The analogue thermometer does not
have a battery.
DStorage for small items.
It is recommended that all items be removed
when folding the product or if the stroller is left
unattended.
IMPORTANT Instruments and electrical
components are excluded from the Sovereign
Lifetime Warranty™.

detach the
strollometer®
ATo attach slide on the hinged holder at the
top of the Instrument Panel until it “CLICKS”
into position.
BThe hinged Strollometer® bracket should be
raised when the Strollometer® is in use and
hinged down behind the instrument panel
when not in use.
NOTE It is important that the Strollometer® be
folded down before folding the product.
CTo remove, depress the small clip on the back
of the Strollometer® and slide from the carrier.
For operation of the Strollometer® see the
separate leaet.
to remove

replace the front and
rear wheels
APress the centre button and remove the wheel.
BTo replace depress the button in the centre and
feed the wheel on to the axle. Push the wheel
until it clicks into position. Check that it
is securely attached.
NOTE A wheel bag is provided to store the
wheels or to protect surrounding items if the
wheels are dirty.

to remove the front wheel
swivel unit
The front swivel unit can be removed for easy
replacement or storage .
ATo remove, press the round wire clip on the
underside of the swivel unit and simultaneously
remove the unit.
BTo replace, push the unit fully on to the swivel
pin until it “CLICKS” into position.
to fit the shopping net
A Foldthestroller–seeinstruction23.
BRemove mounting bar and thread through the
pocket in the net.
CRemount the bar to the rear legs.
DClip the plastic clips to the pegs on the front legs.
A shopping bag, designed to t into the
shopping net, is supplied. The shopping bag
has a toggle sewn to each corner that can be
attached to elastic loops on the front and rear
legs of the chassis. Bag can also be toggled
together for easy hand carrying.
Caution–Thisitemisnotatoyhoweverit
doescontainmagnetswhichareused
asaclosingfastener.Seekimmediatemedical
helpifmagnetsareswallowedorinhaled!
NOTE The stroller may be folded without
removing the net although it is recommended
that the contents of the net be removed.
The maximum allowable loading for the
shoppingnetis2kg(5lbs)uniformlydistributed
– including the contents of the shopping bag.

Theraincoverandmosquitonetwillbefound
in the pockets on the rear of the seat.
AOpen the Hood fully and ensure the Visor is
folded back.
BPlacetheraincover/mosquitonetoverthe
front hoop of the hood.
CAttachtheraincover/mosquitonetbythetwo
buttonholes to the hood pivot moulding.
DAttachthefrontoftheraincover/mosquitonet
to the pegs on the underside of the footplate
usingthebutton-holesinthecover/net.
EAttach the lower of the clips on each side of
theraincover/mosquitonettotheholesinthe
front swivel housing.
FWhen the seat is in the reverse facing position
carry out operations A to C but then attach
each of the upper clips on the side of the
raincover/mosquitonettotheholesprovided
on each rear leg.
GAttach the unused lower clips to cover
button holes.
Unhook the cover before folding the product.
 Boththeraincoverandthemosquitonet
may be stored in the two elasticated pockets
on the back of the seat cover.
IMPORTANT Max allowable total loading for
thesepockets–0.5kg(1.1lbs).
