MaxLite Hazardous Location Wall Pack – C1D2
• To reduce the risk of death, personal injury or property damage from fire,
electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards read all
warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all
fixture labels.
• Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon
this equipment, follow these general precautions.
• Commercial installation, service and maintenance of luminaires
should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
• DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED PRODUCT!
• This fixture is intended to be connected to a properly installed and
grounded UL listed junction box.
• Make sure that the supply voltage is the same as the luminaire voltage.
• Do not install where the marked operating temperatures exceed the
ignition temperatures of the hazardous atmosphere.
• Do not operate in ambient temperatures above those indicated on the luminaire nameplate.
• All gasket seals must be clean and undamaged.
WARNING:
RISK OF ELECTRICAL S OCK
• Turn off electrical power at fuse or circuit breaker box before wiring fixture to the power supply.
• Turn off the power when you perform any maintenance.
• Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire label information.
• Make all electrical and grounded connections in accordance with the National Electrical
Code and any applicable local code requirements.
• All wiring connections should be capped with UL approved wire connectors.
• Luminaire must be supplied by a wiring system with an equipment grounding conductor.
CAUTION:
RISK OF INJURY
• Wear gloves and safety glasses at all times when removing luminaire from
carton, installing, servicing or performing maintenance.
• Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
• Account for small parts and destroy packing material, as these may be hazardous to children.
CAUTION:

• Keep combustible and other materials that can
burn away from luminaire and lamp/lens.
• MIN 90°C SUPPLY CONDUCTORS.

Refer to the luminaire nameplate for specific classification
information, maximum ambient temperature suitability and
corresponding operating temperature (T-Code).

Installation & Operation
Electrical Connection:
1. Remove the two M5 Philips-head screws found in the front lip of the fixture.
2. Swing the lid open. Decide through which knockout you would like to feed the wires through.
3. Unscrew the desired knockout; feed the desired wires through the knockout. Seal the opening by using either a cable
gland or cable conduit.
4. Close the fixture; secure using the two M5 Philips-head screws on the front lip of the fixture.
5. The fixture is now ready for mounting.

Adjustable Brackets
1.Locate the underside of the fixture, opposite the LED
board.
2. Secure the right bracket by aligning the two holes on the
lip of the bracket to the threaded holes on the rear of the
fixture. Screws should be secured by 5 N-m.
3. Repeat step 2 for the left bracket.
4. Determine where the fixture will be mounted.
5. Place the anchor screws into the location you would like
the fixture to be mounted. Simply mount the fixture by
aligning the punched-out key holes with the screws.
oke Mounting
1.Locate the threaded holes located at the rear of the fixture.
2. Align the four holes on the bracket with the four threaded
screw holes.
3. Secure the yoke to the fixture by screwing and securing all
four M5 Philips head screws to the fixture. Screws should
be secured by 5 N-m.
4. Determine where the fixture will be mounted.
5. Place the anchor screws into the location you would like
the fixture to be mounted. Simply mount the fixture by
aligning the punched-out key holes with the screws.

Servicing
• To avoid personal injury, disconnect power to the light and allow the unit to cool down before performing
maintenance.
• Perform visual, electrical, and mechanical inspections on a regular basis. The environment and frequency
of use should determine this. owever, it is recommended that checks be made at least once a year.

• The external glass should be cleaned periodically to ensure continued luminaire performance. Clean the
glass with a clean, damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If this is not sufficient, use a mild soap or a liquid
cleaner. Do not use an abrasive, strong alkaline or acid cleaner as damage may occur.
• Inspect the cooling fins on the luminaire to ensure that they are free of any contamination
(i.e. excessive dust build-up). Clean with a non-abrasive cloth if needed.
• Mechanically check that all parts are properly assembled.
• Electrically check to make sure that all connections are clean and tight.

MaxLite Inc. warrants its products for a minimum period of FIVE (5) years from the earlier of the actual installation date
or 90 days after the original date of purchase from a MaxLite authorized distributor/dealer (the “Warranty Period”), as
follows: If a Product fails to operate during the Warranty Period as a result of defects in materials or workmanship,
MaxLite will, at its option, repair it, replace it with the same or like Product.
