5 Qt. SHARPS CONTAINER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Medline Sharps Containers are intended to provide a receptacle for used, contaminated medical sharps and act as an
enclosure during transport to ultimate disposal.
WARNING:
• Once the container is 70% full as indicated by the “full line”, no additional contents should be placed in the container.
• Do no attempt to reopen or reuse when full. Dispose of the container properly in accordance with local regulations.
• This container is not intended for direct shipment when full. Place the full container in a secondary transport container for proper
sharps disposal in accordance with state and local requirements.
ContainerAssembly and Instructions for Use:
1. Connect the lid to the base of the sharps container by snapping the grooves of the lid to the top rim of the base. Secure the lid in
place by applying pressure to both the front and the back of the lid.
2. Once the lid is secured, place the sharps container in its respective cabinet holder or bracket with the opening of the flap facing you.
3. Drop used sharps into the opening of the lid in a horizontal manner.
4. When the contents of the container meet the indicated full line, you are ready for disposal. To do so, completely pull the two tabs
located on the right and left side of the lid in a forward motion.
5. To secure the lid closed, apply pressure to the rounded top and snap the grooves into place. Once the lid is securely locked, it should
not be able to be re-opened.
6. Remove sharps container from its respective cabinet holder or bracket and dispose of waste in accordance with local regulations.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO DEL RECIPIENTE DE 4.5 LPARA ELEMENTOS CORTOPUNZANTES
Los recipientes Medline para elementos cortopunzantes están diseñados para contener elementos médicos cortopunzantes usados y
contaminados, y funcionar como un recinto durante el transporte hasta su eliminación definitiva.
ADVERTENCIA:
• Una vez que el recipiente esté lleno hasta el 70% de su capacidad según lo indicado por la “línea de completo”, no debe agregarse
ningún contenido adicional.
• No intente reabrirlo ni reutilizarlo cuando esté lleno. Deseche correctamente el recipiente de acuerdo con los reglamentos locales.
• Este recipiente no está diseñado para enviarse directamente cuando está lleno. Coloque todo el recipiente en un segundo recipiente
de transporte a fin de desechar apropiadamente los elementos cortopunzantes de acuerdo con los requisitos estatales y locales.
Montaje del recipiente e instrucciones de uso:
1. Conecte la tapa a la base del contenedor de filosos encajando las ranuras de la tapa al anillo superior de la base. Asegure la tapa en
su lugar presionando en la parte de adelante y de atrás de la tapa.
2. Una vez que la tapa esté asegurada, coloque el envase para objetos punzantes en su respectivo soporte del gabinete con la abertura
de la tapa frente a usted.
3. Deje los objetos punzantes usados en la abertura de la tapa de una manera horizontal.
4. Cuando el contenido del envase alcance la línea total indicada, estará listo para la eliminación. Para hacerlo, tire completamente de
las dos anillas ubicadas en el lado derecho e izquierdo de la tapa en un movimiento hacia adelante.
5. Para asegurar la tapa cerrada, presione la parte superior redondeada y ajuste las ranuras en su lugar. Una vez que la tapa esté
cerrada firmemente, no se debería poder abrir de nuevo.
6. Retire el envase para objetos punzantes de su respectivo soporte del gabinete y elimine la basura de conformidad con las normas
locales.
