Bewahren Sie die Gebrauchsanleitung auf.
Die Gebrauchsanleitung ist ein integraler Bestandteil des Gerätes und muss bei
einer Weitergabe mitgegeben werden.
Beim Arbeiten mit dem Gerät sind besondere Sicherheitsmaßnahmen notwendig.
Unsachgemäße Verwendung kann zu gefährlichen Verletzungen
und Umweltschäden führen.
Nicht geeignet für
• entzündliche Flüssigkeiten
• ätzende Sto󰀨e (bestimmte Desinfektions- und Imprägniermittel, Säuren, Laugen)
• ammoniakhaltige Flüssigkeiten
• Flüssigkeiten mit Temperaturen über 40 °C
• Netzmittel (Tenside), Lösungsmittel und lösungsmittelhaltige Flüssigkeiten, die an den
verwendeten Kunststo󰀨en Rissbildung auslösen oder fördern können.
• zähe, klebrige oder Rückstand bildende Flüssigkeiten (Farben, Fette)

Sicherheit

Gerät darf nicht zum Sprühen von Panzenschutzmitteln
eingesetzt werden.
Mit dem Gerät dürfen nur geschulte, gesunde und ausgeruhte Personen
arbeiten. Sie sollen nicht unter dem Einuss von Alkohol, Drogen oder
Medikamenten sein.
Kinder und Jugendliche dürfen das Gerät nicht benutzen.
Bewahren Sie das Gerät kindersicher auf.
Tre󰀨en Sie Vorsorge gegen Missbrauch bei Benutzung gefährlicher Mittel.
→ Unfallgefahr!
Halten Sie unbeteiligte Personen während des Sprühens fern.
Sprühen Sie niemals auf Menschen, Tiere, elektrische Geräte und
Leitungen, gegen den Wind oder in Gewässer.
→ Verletzungsgefahr!
Tragen Sie beim Umgang mit gefährlichen Sto󰀨en geeignete Schutzkleidung,
Schutzbrille und Atemschutz nach geltenden nationalen Vorschriften.
Vermeiden Sie Zündquellen in der Umgebung.
Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Sonne stehen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das
Gerät nicht über die maximale Betriebstemperatur erwärmt wird (→ Tabelle 1).
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Frost und Ammoniak.
Blasen Sie Düsen, Ventile und Filter niemals mit dem Mund durch.
→ Vergiftungsgefahr!
Bei Glätte, Nässe, Schnee, Eis, an Hängen und bei unebenem Gelände
besteht Rutsch- und Stolpergefahr.
Reparaturen oder Veränderungen am Gerät sind nicht zulässig.
Lassen Sie beschädigte oder nicht funktionsfähige Teile sofort durch
unseren Service oder von uns autorisierte Servicepartner ersetzen.
Das Sicherheitsventil darf nicht unwirksam gemacht werden.

Verwenden Sie nur original Ersatz- und Zubehörteile.
Für Schäden durch Verwendung von Fremdteilen übernehmen wir keine
Haftung.
Beobachten Sie beim Pumpen stets das Manometer um den maximalen
Sprühdruck nicht zu überschreiten (→ Tabelle 1).
Vor dem Befüllen, nach Gebrauch, vor Wartungsarbeiten, bei Arbeitsunter-
brechungen und zur Lagerung muss das Gerät drucklos sein.
Beim Transport beachten: Gerät so transportieren, dass es gegen
Beschädigung und Umkippen gesichert ist. Das Gerät muss drucklos sein.

Sichtkontrolle: Sind Behälter [1] mit Druckkessel [15], sowie Abstellventil [6] mit Spritz-
leitung, Manometer [11] und Spritzrohr [2] mit Düse unbeschädigt?
+Achten Sie besonders auf die Verbindungen zwischen Druckkessel - Spritzleitung und
Spritzleitung – Abstellventil, sowie den Zustand des Spritzrohres.
Funktion: Betätigen Sie den Pumpenhebel [10]. (Abb. 7)
► Am Manometer [11] wird steigender Druck angezeigt.
+Mit dem Feststellrad [12] lässt sich der Hebel am Abstellventil [6] ver- und entriegeln.
Nach dem Verriegeln [12b] wird das unbeabsichtigte Sprühen verhindert.
Entriegeln Sie ggf. das Feststellrad [12a] und betätigen das Abstellventil [6]. (Abb. 8)
► Abstellventil muss ö󰀨nen und schließen.
1. Befestigen Sie die Tragriemen [3] am Behälter. (Abb. 2)
2. Schrauben Sie das Spritzrohr [2] auf das Abstellventil [6]. (Abb. 3)

1. Schrauben Sie den Deckel [7] vom Behälter. (Abb. 4)

+Empfehlung zum Mischen der Sprühüssigkeit im Gerät oder zum Vormischen in
einem externen Behälter: Füllen Sie 1/3 Wasser ein, dann geben Sie das Sprühmittel
hinzu und füllen den Rest mit Wasser auf.
Beachten Sie die Hinweise im Kapitel „Sicherheit“.
Das Gerät muss sich in senkrechter Stellung benden.
Beim Füllen aus einer Wasserleitung darf die Leitung oder ein Schlauch nicht
in den Behälter hineinragen.
Vorbereiten
1. Setzen Sie das Gerät auf den Rücken. (Abb. 7)
2. Pumpen Sie mit Hilfe des Pumphebels [10] langsam und regelmäßig, so dass ein konti-
nuierlicher Sprühdruck gehalten wird. (→ Tabelle 2, Abb. 7).
+Max. Druck sollte 6 bar nicht überschreiten. Wird der max. Druck überschritten, kann
die Funktion gestört werden.
2. Füllen Sie die Sprühüssigkeit durch das Einfüllsieb [8] in den Behälter. (Abb. 5)
3. Schrauben Sie den Deckel [7] auf den Behälter. (Abb. 6)
3. Betätigen das Abstellventil [6]. (Abb. 8)
► Das Sprühen beginnt.
4. Achten Sie auf den optimalen Sprühdruck (→Tabelle 2) am Manometer [11] (Abb. 8).
+Um das Nachtropfen zu vermeiden, halten Sie beim ersten Sprühen das Spritzrohr
nach oben und betätigen das Abstellventil so lange bis aus der Düse keine mit Luft
vermischte Flüssigkeit mehr austritt.
Beachten Sie die Hinweise im Kapitel „Sicherheit“.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur senkrecht bzw. steil aufrecht hängend.
Vermeiden Sie die Abdrift von Sprühtröpfchen auf nicht zu behandelnde Flächen.
Achten Sie auf die Vorschriften des Mittelherstellers!
Sprühen
+Wenn aus der Düse mit Luft vermischte Flüssigkeit austritt, ist der Behälter leer.
Pumpen Sie spätestens nach jeder fünften Füllung das Gerät komplett leer.

1. Betätigen Sie das Abstellventil [6] bis die Spritzleitung drucklos ist.
2. Schrauben Sie den Deckel [7] vom Behälter. (Abb. 4)
3. Verdünnen Sie die Restmenge zweimal hintereinander mit je 1/2 Liter Wasser und
sprühen Sie diese Flüssigkeit auf die behandelte Fläche.
Nach 50-maligem Gebrauch oder bei Störungen, mindestens einmal jährlich, am günstigs-
ten nach der Winterpause:
• Bauen Sie den Druckkessel [15] aus:
a) Ö󰀨nen und entfernen Sie den Splint [14]. (Abb. 9)
b) Ziehen Sie die Zugstange [13] aus dem Lager. (Abb. 9)
c) Ziehen Sie den Druckkessel [15] aus dem Behälter. (Abb. 10)
• Fetten Sie die Manschette [17] ein. (Abb. 11)
• Fetten Sie den Führungsring [16] und die Lagerstellen [18] ein. (Abb. 11)
• Bauen Sie die Pumpe in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge zusammen.
+Um die Manschette [17] nicht zu beschädigen, führen Sie den Druckkessel [15] ge-
nau axial in den Zylinder [19] ein. (Abb. 12)
• Reinigen Sie die Düse [20] und den Einsatz [21] unter ießendem Wasser. (Abb. 13)
• Schrauben Sie den Handgri󰀨 [23] vom Abstellventil [6] ab. (Abb. 14)
• Entnehmen Sie den Filter [22] und reinigen ihn unter ießendem Wasser. (Abb. 14)
• Bauen Sie das Abstellventil [6] auseinander. (Abb. 20)
a) Ziehen Sie den Ring [31] ab. (Abb. 20)
b) Lösen Sie die 4 Schrauben und ziehen die Halbschalen [30] auseinander.
c) Schrauben Sie die Verschlusskappe [34] vom Ventilkörper [32] ab und ziehen den
Druckbolzen [35] aus dem Ventilkörper [32]. (Abb. 20)
• Fetten Sie den O-Ring [33] ein. (Abb. 20)
• Bauen Sie das Abstellventil [6] zusammen.

Nach Gebrauch
Wartung und Pege
Beachten Sie die Hinweise im Kapitel „Sicherheit“.
Lassen Sie niemals Flüssigkeit im Gerät.
Sammeln und entsorgen Sie die Restmenge und den Behälter nach geltenden
Gesetzen, Vorschriften und Regeln.
Achten Sie auf die Vorschriften des Mittelherstellers!
Reinigen Sie nach Gebrauch die Schutzausrüstung und sich selbst.
Beachten Sie die Hinweise im Kapitel „Sicherheit“.
4. Wischen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch ab.
5. Zum Austrocknen und Lagern bewahren Sie das Gerät mit abgenommenem Deckel in
trockener, vor Sonnenstrahlen geschützter und frostfreier Umgebung auf.

Beachten Sie die gesetzlichen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften Ihres Landes und über-
prüfen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig.
Sollte es keine speziellen Regeln geben, empfehlen wir alle 2 Jahre eine äußere
und alle 5 Jahre eine innere Prüfung, sowie alle 10 Jahre eine Festigkeitsprüfung,
durch einen Sachkundigen durchzuführen.

Verarbeitungsfehler aufweist. Sollten sich während der Garantiezeit Mängel herausstellen,
wird MESTO oder der Distributor in Ihrem Land ohne Berechnung der Arbeits- und Mate-
rialkosten das Gerät reparieren oder (nach Ermessen von MESTO) es selbst oder seine
schadhaften Teile ersetzen.
In so einem Fall bitten wir um unverzügliche Kontaktaufnahme mit uns. Wir benötigen die
Rechnung oder den Kaufbeleg über den Erwerb des Gerätes.
Ausgenommen von der Garantie sind Verschleißteile (Dichtungen, O-Ringe, Manschette
usw.) und Defekte, die auf Grund unsachgemäßen Gebrauchs und höherer Gewalt aufge-
treten sind.
Die Angaben und Abbildungen in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung dienen nur zur Orientierung

Usage
At the time of manufacture, there are no known harmful e󰀨ects to the device caused by plant
protection products approved by the Federal O󰀩ce of Consumer Protection and Food Safety.
Not suitable for
• inammable liquids
• corrosive substances (certain disinfecting and impregnating agents, acids and bases)
• Liquids containing ammonia
• liquids at temperatures above 40 °C (104° F)
• Wetting agents (surfactants), solvents, and liquids containing solvents which can cause
or promote cracking in the applied plastics.
• viscous or sticky liquids or liquids that form residues (dyes, greases)
• use in applications for foodstu󰀨s.
Under no circumstances should you use
• external sources of pressure without original compressed air lling valve
• for aming
• for storing and holding liquids
• as an eyewash.
Make certain to read the instructions for use before using the device!
Keep the instructions for use in a safe place where they can be easily found.

Devices may not be used for spraying
plant protection liquids.
Only trained, healthy and rested people may work with the device. You
should not be under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
Children and adolescents must not use the device
Keep the spraying devices safe from access to children.
Take precautions to prevent hazardous substances from being misused.
→ Accident risk!
Keep bystanders away during spraying.
Never spray on people, animals, electrical devices and lines, into the wind,
or into bodies of water.
→ Risk of injury!
Wear appropriate protective clothing, goggles and respiratory protection in line
with the applicable national regulations when working with hazardous substances.
Avoid ignition sources in the environment.
Do not allow the device to remain under pressure and/or exposed directly to
sunlight. Make certain the device is not heated beyond the maximum
operating temperature. (→Table 1).
Protect the device from frost and ammonia.
Never blow through the nozzles or valves with your mouth.
→ Risk of poisoning!
There is a risk of slipping or tripping on smooth or wet surfaces, snow, ice,
on slopes and on uneven terrain.
Repairs and modications to the device are not permitted.
Have damaged parts or parts that do not work properly repaired immediately
by our customer service department or by service partners authorized by us.
The e󰀨ect of the safety valve must not be bypassed or made inoperative.

Use only original spare and accessory parts.
We cannot assume any liability resulting from the use of third-party parts.
When pumping, always observe the pressure gauge to ensure the maximum
spraying pressure is not exceeded (→ Table 1).
All excess pressure must be released from the device before lling, after
use, before carrying out maintenance work, on work breaks, and before
placing it in storage.
Points to note when transporting the device: Transport the device in such
a way that it is protected against damage and tipping. All excess pressure
must be released from the device.

Visual inspection: Are the tank [1] with pressure vessel [15], as well as shut-o󰀨
valve [6] with spray line, pressure gage [11] and spray lance [2] with nozzle undamaged?
+Pay special attention to the connections between the pressure vessel - spray line and the
spray line – shut-o valve and to the condition of the spray lance.
Function: Activate the pump lever [10]. (Fig. 7)
► Increasing pressure is indicated on the pressure gage [11].
+The wheel lock [12] can be used to lock and unlock the lever on the shut-o valve [6].
Locking the lever [12b] prevents unintentional spraying.
Unlock the wheel lock [12a] and activate the shut-o󰀨 valve [6]. (Fig. 8)
► The shut-o󰀨 valve must open and close.
1. Attach the carrying strap [3] to the tank. (Fig. 2)
2. Screw the spray lance [2] onto the shut-o󰀨 valve [6]. (Fig. 3)

1. Screw the cover [7] o󰀨 the tank. (Fig. 4)

2. Using the pump lever [10], pump slowly and regularly to maintain a continuous
spraying pressure. (→ Table 2, Fig. 7)
+The maximum pressure should not exceed 6 bar. If the max. pressure is exceeded,
the function may be aected.

+We recommend you mix the spraying liquid in the device or premix it in an external tank:
Fill to 1/3 with water, pour in the spraying agent, and then add more water until full.
2. Pour the spray liquid through the lling strainer [8] into the tank. (Fig. 5)
3. Screw the cover [7] onto the tank. (Fig. 6)
+To prevent dripping, hold the spray wand up when rst spraying and activate the
shut-o valve until no more liquid mixed with air is emerging from the nozzle.
3. Activate the shut-o󰀨 valve [6]. (Fig. 8)
► Spraying may now begin.
4. Ensure that the optimum spraying pressure (→ Table 2) is set on the pressure
gage [11] (Fig. 8).
+If liquid mixed with air emerges from the nozzle, the tank is empty.
Pump the device completely empty after each fth lling at the latest.

Preparation
Observe the instructions in the section entitled „Safety“.
The device must be in an upright position.
If lling the tank from a water line, ensure that the line or a hose does not project
into the tank.
Spraying
Observe the instructions in the section entitled “Safety”.
Operate the device only while it is vertical or suspended upright and nearly vertical.
Avoid allowing drops of spray to drift onto areas that are not being treated.

1. Activate the shut-o󰀨 valve [6] until the spray line is depressurized.
2. Screw the cover [7] o󰀨 the tank. (Fig. 4)
3. Dilute the remaining quantity twice in a row with 1/2 liter of water each time and spray
the resulting liquid onto the treated area.
After using the device 50 times or if the device malfunctions, at least once a year, preferably
after the winter break:
• Remove the pressure vessel [15]:
a) Open and remove the cotter pin [14]. (Fig. 9)
b) Pull the connecting rod [13] out of the bearings. (Fig. 9)
c) Pull the pressure vessel [15] out of the tank. (Fig. 10)
• Grease the diaphragm [17]. (Fig. 11)
• Grease the guide ring [16] and the bearing positions [18]. (Fig. 11)
• Re-assemble the pump in reverse sequence.
+To prevent damage to the diaphragm [17], insert the pressure vessel [15] exactly axi-
ally into the cylinder [19]. (Fig. 12)
• Clean the nozzle [20] and insert [21] under owing water. (Fig. 14)
• Unscrew the handgrip [23] from the shut-o󰀨 valve [6]. (Fig. 14)
• Remove the lter [22] and clean it under running water. (Fig. 14)
• Disassemble the shut-o󰀨 valve [6]. (Fig. 20)
a) Pull o󰀨 the ring [31]. (Fig. 20)
b) Loosen the 4 screws and pull the half shells [30] apart.
c) Screw the sealing cap [34] from the valve body [32] and pull the pressure bolt [35] from
the valve body [32]. (Fig. 20)
• Grease the O-ring [33]. (Fig. 20)
• Assemble the shut-o󰀨 valve [6].

Care and maintenance
After Usage
4. Wipe o󰀨 the device with a moist cloth.
5. For drying and storing the device, remove the cover and keep the device in a dry place
protected from sunlight and freezing temperatures.
Observe the instructions in the section entitled “Safety”.
Never leave liquid in the device.
Collect and dispose of the residual liquid and the tank according to all applicable
laws, requirements and regulations.
Follow the instructions of the spray product manufacturer!
Clean the protective equipment and yourself every time after usage.

Original operating instructions
The data and illustrations in these instructions for use are for orientation only and not
binding in any way. The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes or improvements

red warranty period (maximum 3 years) this device will not exhibit any material or proces-
sing errors. If defects are discovered during the warranty period, MESTO or the distributor
in your country will repair the device without charging for the labor or material or (at the
discretion of MESTO) replace the device itself or its defective parts.
If such defects are discovered, please contact us immediately. We require the invoice or
cash register receipt for purchase of the device.
The warranty does not include wearing parts (seals, O-rings, diaphragm, etc.) or defects,
which have occurred due to improper use or unforeseeable circumstances.
