E460 QC Test Procedure
Final Test Specifications for Smart phones
1. Scope of Application:
Global Service documents and Guidelines for Micromax authorized Service Vendors.
This Document is valid for L1/L2/L3 ASC
2. Introduction:
The Final test has to be performed as a repair quality inspection after L1/L2/L3 service activities.
All tests have to be done in an easy usable way to get a simple result if function works or not
(OK/Not OK). These are minimum requirements with/without refurbishments.
2.1 Visual Inspection:
Check surface cover have bad appearance such as scratch, off paint, spraying oil phenomenon, whether
there is leakage processing accessories.
Check whether there is any white dots on LCD screen, fiber, cut, such as screen, offset appearance is
OK or not.
Check whether there is scratch, crack, or sump shell steps such as unhealthy phenomenon appearance.
Check whether there is any deformation on the USB interface, jack offset.
Dual SIM Cards, T card, battery shrapnel or block slice deformation without scratches.
Check whether battery label, IMEI label stick as required
Check the machine whether match wrong cover, as well as the color difference phenomenon, Open
and close the battery cover and check whether the cover is too slack or tighten.
Check earphone, USB cable and charger cosmetic are OK.
2.1.1 Main UI Functions
1、Get the samples and put the memory card and SIM1/SIM2 inside the device, insert the battery and

power on. After that input the *#84666*# ,will go to factory function test ：
a. Black light test：check the LCD、touch key light、camera flash light is working OK or not, if we open
and close it normally, so it is ok. Need to carefully check the camera flash light, the light color is OK or
not during taking pictures. Check at red, green, blue wallpapers whether the backlight is uniformity or
not.
b. LCD test：check the LCD is working OK or not, whether the LCD has the dark corners、black dots、
some more color dots or display flickering or not,
c. SPK test：open the music and play any music, check there is any cracking or noise or not.
d. Camera test：check when we capture the picture, it will crash or black screen comes or crash、
capture the pictures but blurred；also need check the back CAM；
f. Vibrator test：check whether the Vibrator is vibrating or there is noise during vibrating or sometimes
not works；
g. Charging test: connect the charger with the device，check the charging voltage and the charging
states, the device can be charged normally or not；
h. SIM card test：Insert the SIM card and power, check we can read the operator information or not.
i. Earphone test：Check the device can discern the earphone, play any music and check the earphone
has some noise or not, whether the earphone has the low volume or some wave sounds there or not.
j. Receiver test：Make a call check there is some noise or not, sometimes it will has the wave sounds or
some crashing sounds.
k. Call test: make a call and turn on the SPK, check there is echo or not、or very less echo;
l. Key test：Check the power key and the volume key and that three touch key are working OK or not.
m. Memory card test：Insert the memory card and go to file manager, check we can open any files and
play some music, If yes, then this is ok.
n. FM test: Insert the earphone and go to FM, Scan the channels and play some channels, check there
is a noise sound there and it’s clear or not. If not, then this is ok.
o. G sensor test: Put the device at different side and front-back tilt, check the information display on
the screen will change or not, if change, then the G sensor is working normally.
P. GPS satellite position test: Open GPS and search for one location, check the whether the GPS can
work rapidly and properly.
q. Touch panel test：Drawing a line along the screen frame, wireframe disappear and the touch screen
was OK without any break ；
2.1.2 Manual test

Get out of the factory test model and go to main manual ：
a、Press the back key and go to main manual ,click the multimedia icon and play the music and video,
check the SPK has the wave sounds or some noise there or the volume is low and mute or not. Play the
video and check the image will stuck or crash or not.
b、Dial any server number, check during the call there is any echo or wave sounds , or sometimes
maybe we cannot make a call or there is not signal and not network or the network is poor and the
sound is mute also. After that need to switch to SPK model, check during the call, there is any echo or
cracking sounds or some sharp sound or not.
c、Go to camera manually, when capture the picture will crash, black screen or stuck, sometimes it
make be blurred .
d、Go to voice recorder：Check whether we can play any recorder successfully or not and the sound is
clear enough or not.
e、Go to BT、WIFI：check the BT and WIFI can be opened or not and need to search about 3 devices , for
BT we need to check we can transfer the files or not .After finish this test ,need to turn off the BT and
WIFI.
f、Go to setting and select the option ‘About phone ’,check the kernel version is the same version as
confirmed by Micromax.
g、After finish all the tests, need to power off the device and take out the battery and SIM cards and
the memory card also. Put the defective samples at the other side.

performed repair activity.
Check for specific abnormalities based on previous repair / Technical bulletins / known issues for that
model and customer.

as reported by the End User )
In case of ‘NFF’ was reported an additional live call with both SIM is always required
