SAR Information
S A R C o mp l i a n c e
Your device is designed not to exceed the limits of emission of radio waves
recommended by international guidelines.
SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is the measurement of body -absorbed RF
quantity when the device is in use. SAR value is ascertained according to the
highest RF level g enerated during lab oratory tests.
The SAR value of the device may depend on factors such as proxim ity to the
networktower, oruseof accessories.
TheSARvalueof thedevice atthehead and body are0.08 W/kg and 0.31 W/kg
respectively averaged over 1 gm of human tissue.
S A R R e c o mm e nd a ti o n s
Use a wireless hands-free system (headphone, headset) with a low power
Bluetooth emitter.
Keep your calls short and use SMS whenever more convenient. This advice
applies especially to children, adolescents and pregnant women.
Prefer to useyour handset when thesig nal quality is good.
People having active medical implants should preferably keep the handset at
least 15 cm away from theimplant.
Maintain apreferabledistanceof 15mm from thedevice.
T h e F C C A d v ice
Many people mistakenly assume that using a cell phone with a lower reported SAR
valuenecessarily decreases a user’s exposure to RF emissions, or is somehow “safer”
than using acell phonewith ahigh SARvalue. WhileSARvaluesare an important tool
in judging themaximum possibleexposuretoRFenergy from aparticularmodel of cell
phone, a singleSARvalue does not providesufficient information about theamount of
RF exposure under typical usage conditions to reliably compare individual handset
models.
W orl d H eal t h O r g an izat ion ( W H O ) Ad vic e
Organizations such as the World Health Organization and the US Food and Drug
Administration have stated that if people are concerned and want to reduce their
exposure they could useahands-freedeviceto keep thehandset away from thehead
and body during phone calls, orreduce theamount of time spen t on t he phone.
