2.2 Safety Precautions
1. Read this entire user manual before using the Mobile Stairlift Atlas Wheelchair Lift, and use
the Atlas Wheelchair Stairlift only as described in this manual.
2. Always make sure that the chair is locked in the unfolded position before use. An unlocked
chair may fold during use causing injury.
3. Do not use the chair with suspected cervical, spinal, or fracture injuries.

an occupant is seated and secured to the Atlas Wheelchair Stairlift.
5. Always use the restraint straps to secure the occupant’s chair to the lift. An unrestrained
occupant may fall from the lift.
6. While on flat surfaces, do not push the chair with the upper control handle in the fully

when you encounter obstacles.
7. Always lock the chair in position before you transport an occupant.
8. Make sure the occupant keeps hands inside the chair when moving up or down a staircase.
9. Avoid getting dirt inside the tracks.
10. Do not attach any additional items to this chair unless certified by Mobile Stairlift.

Before each use of the chair, make a visual check to see that all parts are in place and that there
are no loose or moving parts. If you see anything out of ordinary issues with the chair, do not use
it until you verify with our customer service rep that it is safe to use.

8.0 FAQs
Q: Can the rider operate the Mobile Stairlift Atlas Wheelchair Lift alone?
A: No.
Q: Can the chair be used in more than one location?
A: Yes, the chair folds up small enough to fit in most car trunks, and it is meant to be
transported wherever it is needed!
