1 Verantwoordelijkheid van de eigenaar en/of gebruiker
Deze handeling maakt deel uit van de pers en moet deze steeds vergezellen, zelfs in geval van wederverkoop. De
eigenaar en/of gebruiker van de pers moet de handleiding lezen en begrijpen alvorens de pers te gebruiken. Indien de
gebruiker de taal van de handleiding niet begrijpt, dan moeten de richtlijnen worden voorgelezen en uitgelegd in zijn
moedertaal, vergewis u ervan dat deze goed worden begrepen.
De fabrikant wijst elke verantwoordelijkheid af voor schade aan personen en zijn naasten als
gevolg van een niet-correct of ongeoorloofd gebruik van de pers.
2 Verpakking
De pers wordt verzonden in een enkele colli, beschermd door een luchtkussen kunststoffolie.
Gewicht van de pers: 280 kg (CATOMA30S) of 430 kg (CATOMA50T).
3 Behandeling en verplaatsen
Bij het verplaatsen van de pers, gebruik steeds heftrucks of atelierkranen met een voldoende hefkracht.
De pers moet in een de originele verpakking opgeslagen worden, in een overdekte en beschermde plaats en op een
temperatuur tussen -10 en +40 °C.
4 Veiligheid
• De pers mag niet worden gebruikt voor andere doeleinden dan deze waarvoor zij werd ontworpen.
• Werk niet op werkstukken wanneer de piston in beweging of onder druk is.
• Het veiligheidsventiel is getarreerd en geplombeerd door de fabrikant : Probeer nooit te demonteren of
de regeling te wijzigen. Het niet-naleven van deze aanbevelingen kan tot schade, zelfs zware letsels aan de
bediener leiden.
5 Montage
• Verwijder de verpakking van de pers en controleer de pers op eventuele transportschade en ontbrekende
delen. Vergelijk de inhoud van de verpakking met de leveringsbon . Het verpakkingsmateriaal moet verwerkt
worden volgens de geldende richtlijnen in het land waar de pers wordt geïnstalleerd, ofwel wordt de verpakking
gerecycleerd of opnieuw gebruikt.
• Plaats de pers op een effen en horizontaal oppervlak. Aan de binnenkant van de voeten zijn 2 gaten die eventuele
verankering aan de grond mogelijk maken. Gebruik ankerpluggen met een voldoende diameter.
• Monteer de voeten op het onderstel van de pers met de meegeleverde bouten (afb. 1) en zet deze vast, met behulp
van de dwarsbouten, liggend op het tablet van een werktafel met voldoende draagkracht.
• Draai het handvat van de lier los, die voor het gemak van het verpakken ondersteboven gedraaid werd. Schroef het
handvat correct in en draai het met een sleutel goed vast (afb. 2).
• Gebruik een waas van olie op de assen die de tafel van de pers ondersteunen.
6 Gebruiksaanwijzingen
• Plaats de tafel van de pers (ref. 1 afb. 6) op de gewenste hoogte, door eerst hoger te plaatsen en de assen op de
gewenste hoogte in de gaten te plaatsen, daarna de tafel op de assen laten zakken. Herhaal dit voor de andere
kant.
• Bedien de perslier om de tafel op te tillen.
• Plaats de V-blokken (ref. 3 afb. 6) op de tafel (Ref. 1, afb. 6).
• Breng de hendel van de pomp (ref. 4 afb. 6) in de houder (ref. 5 afb. 6) aan de bovenkant van de pomp.
• In afb. 7 worden de functies van de 2 kranen op de pomp aangetoond.
• Breng de hendel enkele malen naar boven om de piston te laten zakken, gebruik het kraantje op de pomp (afb.
7) om de piston terug in zijn oorspronkelijke positie te brengen. De hefboom van de pomp kan vrij worden
weggenomen of verplaatst worden in het geval dat hij de verrichtingen van werk rond de pers zou belemmeren.

7 Onderhoud
• Smeer alle bewegende onderdelen elke 6 maand en controleer de goede werking van de manometer.
• De hydraulische eenheid (pomp/piston) is een gesloten systeem, dat bij normaal gebruik slechts een smering van
de bewegende onderdelen om de 6 maand vraagt. In geval van lekkage aan de hydraulische eenheid moet u deze
demonteren en de dichtingen vervangen. Vul olie bij door de vulopening tot de bovenkant van de vulopening. Deze
handeling moet met de piston in rustpositie (volledig teruggetrokken) uitgevoerd worden. De olie van de hydraulische
eenheid moet in elk geval om de 2 jaar omgewisseld, eender de toestand van de hydraulische olie.
Gebruik een hydraulische olie met een viscositeit 22°E tot 25°E.
Nodige hoeveelheid olie: 1,2 kg. Een teveel aan olie kan de goede werking van de pers verstoren.
AANDACHT! Gebruik nooit remolie.
Bijzondere informatie:
• De gebruikte olie moet worden verwerkt in overeenstemming met de geldende wetten van het land waar de pers
wordt geïnstalleerd.
• In geval van vernietiging van de pers, alle metalen onderdelen zijn recycleerbaar, de rubberen leidingen en de
vloeistoffen moeten worden verwerkt volgens de geldende wetten van het land waar de pers wordt geïnstalleerd.

1 Responsabilité du propriétaire et/ou de l’utilisateur
Ce manuel fait partie intégrante de la presse et doit toujours l’accompagner, même en cas de revente. Le propriétaire et/
ou l’utilisateur de la presse doit lire et comprendre le mode d’emploi avant de se servir de la presse. Si l’opérateur ne
comprend pas la langue de ce manuel, les instructions devront lui être Iues et expliquées dans sa langue maternelle.
Le constructeur décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommages dus à une utilisation de la presse
incorrecte et non appropriée.
2 Emballage
Les presses sont expédiées en un seul colis, protégées par un lm plastique multi-bulles.
Poids de la presse : 280 kg (CATOMA30S) ou 430 kg (CATOMA50T).
3 Manutention et déplacement
La presse doit toujours être déplacée et positionnée au moyens d’un élévateur à fourches ou d’une grue d’atelier avec
une capacité de charge sufsante.
La presse doit être stockée dans son emballage d’origine, dans un endroit couvert et protégé, et à une température entre
-10 et +40 °C.
4 Sécurité
• N’utilisez pas la presse dans un autre but que celui pour lequel elle a été conçue.
• Ne travaillez pas sur les pièces à usiner pendant que le piston est en mouvement ou sous pression.
• La soupape de sécurité est tarée et plombée par le fabricant. N’essayez jamais de la démonter ou de
changer le réglage. Le non-respect de ces recommandations peut provoquer des dommages et de graves
blessures à l’utilisateur.
5 Montage
• Enlevez la presse de son emballage en vériant qu’elle n’ait subit aucun dommage en cours de transport et qu’il ne
manque aucun des éléments mentionnés sur le bon de livraison. Les matériaux d’emballage devront être soit éliminés
selon les normes en vigueur dans le pays où la presse est installée, recyclés ou réutilisés.
• Placez la presse sur un surface plane et horizontale. A l’intérieur des pieds sont pratiqués deux trous permettant
l’ancrage éventuel de la presse dans le sol au moyen de chevilles à expansion de dimension adéquate.
• Montez les pieds sur le bâti de la presse au moyen des boulons fournis (g. 1) et xez-la ensuite à l’aide de boulons
traversants, sur le plateau d’un établi sufsamment robuste pour en supporter le poids.
• Dévissez la poignée du treuil qui, pour la facilité d’emballage, a été retournée. Vissez-la correctement et serrez bien
avec une clé (g. 2).
• Appliquez un léger- voile d’huile sur les broches soutenant la table de la presse.
6 Utilisation
• Positionnez la table de la presse (réf. 1, g. 6) à la hauteur requise, en soulevant d’abord une extrémité et en
insérant la broche (réf. 2, g. 6) dans le trou du bâti immédiatement en dessous. Répétez l’opération pour l’autre
côté.
• Actionnez le treuil de la presse pour lever la table.
• Placer les broches (réf. 2, g. 6) à la hauteur requise.
• Placez les blocs V (réf. 3, g. 6) sur la table (réf. 1, g. 6).
• Introduisez le levier de la pompe (réf. 4, g. 6) dans son support (réf. 5, g. 6) sur le haut de la pompe.
• En Fig. 7 sont indiquées les fonctions des deux robinets situés sur la pompe.
• Actionnez le levier plusieurs fois de haut en bas pour faire descendre le piston, actionnez ensuite le robinet situé sur
la pompe (g. 7) pour obtenir le retour du piston à sa position initiale. Le levier de la pompe est libre de façon à
pouvoir s’enlever ou se déplacer dans le cas où il gênerait le travail autour de la presse.

7 Entretien
• Huiler les parties en mouvement tous les six mois et contrôler le bon fonctionnement du manomètre.
• L’unité hydraulique (pompe/vérin) est un système fermé qui, en utilisation normale, ne demande qu’une lubrication
semestrielle des parties mobiles. En cas de fuite à l’unité hydraulique, démontez et remplacez les joints. Faites le
plein d’huile par le trou de remplissage situé sur la pompe (réf. 6, g. 5) jusqu’au bord du trou de remplissage.
Cette opération doit être faite avec le piston du vérin en position de repos (complètement rentré). L’huile de l’unité
hydraulique doit être remplacée tous les deux ans, quel que soit l’état de l’unité hydraulique.
Utilisez de l’huile hydraulique de viscosité 22°E à 25°E
Quantité d’huile nécessaire : 1,2 kg. Une quantité supérieure peut nuire au bon fonctionnement de la presse.
ATTENTION ! N’utilisez jamais de liquide de freins !
Informations particulières :
• L’huile usagée provenant de la presse doit être éliminée en conformité avec les normes en vigueur dans le pays où est
installée la presse.
• En cas de destruction de la presse, toutes les parties métalliques sont recyclables, les tuyaux en caoutchouc et les
uides contenus dans la presse devront être éliminés en conformité avec les normes en vigueur dans le pays où est
installée la presse.

1 Liability of press owner and/or user
This manual is an integral part of the press and must always accompany it, even in the event of sale. The press owner
and/or user must know the operating instructions and recommendations before using the press. If the operator does
not fully understand the language of this manual, the instructions have to be read and explained in his or her native
language making sure the meaning is understood.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any damage to persons or objects due to an improper
or no permitted use of the press.
2 Packing
The press is shipped in a single pack protected by bubble plastic lm.
Weights of press: 280 kg (CATOMA30S) or 430 kg (CATOMA50T).
3 Lifting and handling
The press has to be handled and positioned using a fork-lift truck or a workshop crane that support the weight.
The packing has to be kept in a covered and sheltered place at a temperature between -10 °C and +40 °C.
4 Safety
• Do not use the press for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
• Do not work alongside pieces while the ram is moving or when it is under pressure.
• The safety valve is calibrated and sealed by the manufacturer. Do not attempt to tamper with it and change
the setting. Failure to observe these recommendations may cause even serious damage to the press and/or to the
persons working with it.
5 Installation
• Take the press out of the packing, checking that the machine has not been damaged during transport and that there
are all the pieces indicated in the packing list. The packing material has to be disposed of in compliance with the
regulations in force in the country where the press is being erected or recycled or reused.
• Position the press on a at and fully levelled surface. Inside the feet there are two holes for xing to the ground by
using expansion plugs of a large cross-section.
• Unscrew the winch handle that, for packing convenience, is supplied upturned. Then screw it on correctly, locking it
with a spanner (g. 2).
• Spread a thin lm of oil on the press workbench support pins.
6 Operation
• Position the bed of the press (ref. 1, g. 6) at the desired height, lifting it rst on one side and inserting one of the
pins (ref. 2, g. 6) into the hole in the press body directly beneath, then repeating this step for the other side as well.
• Operate the press winch in order to lift the bed.
• Position the pins (ref. 2, g. 6) at the desired point.
• Position the prisms (ref. 3, g. 6) on the bed (ref. 1, g. 6).
• Insert the lever of the pump (ref. 4, g. 6) into its relative seat (ref. 5, g. 6) on the pump.
• Fig. 7 shows the uses relative to the positions of the two dials on the pump.
• Operate the lever to lower the ram, carry out the work then bring the ram back to rest with the relative dial (Fig. 7).
The pump operating lever is thereby free to be able to be extracted or moved if it gets in the way of work on the
press.

7 Maintenance
• Oil the moving parts of the press every six months and check operation of the pressure gauge. The hydraulic unit
(cylinder/pump) is a sealed system that in normal conditions requires only sixmonthly lubrication of the moving parts.
In the event of the hydraulic unit leaking oil and being dismantled in order to replace the seals, it will be necessary
to add oil through the ller hole on the pump (ref. 6, Fig. 5) until the pump has been lled up to the level of the hole
itself. This operation has to be done with the ram at rest and therefore fully retracted. The oil in the hydraulic units
should anyhow be replaced every two years independently of the general conditions of the unit.
Use hydraulic oil with viscosity from 22° to 25°.
The table shown here gives the quantity of oil needed for each type of press. A greater amount of oil could cause
trouble.
WARNING! Never use brake oil.
Special information
• The waste oil taken from the press has to be disposed of in compliance with the laws in force in the country where
the machine is installed.
• If the press is to be destroyed, all the metal parts can be recycled; the rubber hoses and the press uids have to be
disposed of in compliance with the laws in force in the country where the machine is installed.
