
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: Read the manual before operang the gasoline ller. Failure to follow the warnings and instrucons may result in re and/or
serious injury. Aer reading the manual, store it in a safe place for future reference.
Training
• Read the instrucons carefully. Familiarize yourself with the controls and the proper use of the equipment.
• Never allow children or persons unfamiliar with these instrucons to use the machine.
• Never operate this machine while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
• Keep in mind that the operator is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their property.
Preparaon
• While working, always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the equipment when barefoot or wearing open sandals.
• Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove all objects which can be thrown up by the machine.
• Replace faulty exhaust muers.
• Before operang the machine, always visually inspect to check whether any part is worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged parts and bolts in sets.
• Ensure that the safety covers (fan cover, recoil starter cover) are in place.
Operaon
• Do not operate the engine in a conned space where carbon monoxide gas can quickly build up to dangerous levels.
• Operate the machine only in daylight or in sucient arcial light.
• Always be sure of your foong on slopes.
• Walk, never run while operang the machine.
• Exercise extreme cauon when changing direcon on slopes.
• Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
• Use extreme cauon when reversing or pulling the machine towards you.
• Do not change the engine governor sengs or overspeed the engine.
• Start the engine carefully according to the instrucons and with your feet at a safe distance from the moving parts of the tool.
• Do not put hands or feet near or under moving parts.
• Never pick up or carry the machine while the engine is running.
• Stop the engine before leaving the machine and before refuelling.
• Reduce the throle seng during engine shut down and, if the engine is provided with a shut-o valve, turn the fuel o at the conclusion of working.
• Keep a rm grip on the handlebars, they may li during clutch engagement.
• Know how to stop the engine and nes quickly in case of emergency. Understand the funcon of all controls.
• Ensure that the blades and the mud fender are properly placed and securely ghtened before using the machine.
Maintenance and storage
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws ght to ensure the equipment is in safe working condion.
• Never store the equipment with gasoline in the tank inside a building where ammable gas can reach the unit and ignite.

Warning: Gasoline is highly ammable
• Store fuel in containers specically designed for this purpose.
• Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refuelling.
• Add fuel before starng the engine. Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or add petrol
while the engine is running or when the engine is hot.
• If gasoline is spilled, do not aempt to start the engine. Move the machine away from the
area of spillage and avoid creang any source of ignion unl vapours have dissipated.
• Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely.
