NEC SL1100
Digital User Guide
Operational Use
Handpiece - Simply lift handpiece to use
Speaker - Press Speaker button to activate/deactivate
Headset - Press Headset key to activate/deactivate
Speaker (Hands Free Operation)
Press Speaker Button to activate/deactivate
Ensure that the MIC button is on (by pressing the MIC button)
Indicated by RED Led in button
If MIC key is not on, the call is muted.
Volume Control
Volume Keys are the UP and Down key on Rotary button
Press UP or DOWN to change the volume whilst using each Function
Handpiece off hook [ Adjusts the handpiece volume ]
Speaker activated [ Adjust the speaker volume ]
Phone ringing volume [ While the phone is ringing ]
Phone LCD display [ Adjust the LCD contrast while phone is idle ]
Internal Call
Lift handpiece
Dial extn number or press one touch key
External Call
Lift handpiece
Dial 0 for outside line or select line key e.g. Line1
Then dial number
Placing Call on Hold
Whilst on a call
Press the HOLD key, you can place handpiece back down
Green Flashing LINE key is the call your Extn has on HOLD
Red Flashing LINE key is a call that another extn has on HOLD
Transferring Calls- Announced
Whilst on a call- place call on hold
Dial the extn number or press one touch key
Announce the call
Press Transfer key
Transferring Calls- Unannounced
Whilst on a call, place call on hold
Dial the extn number or press one touch key
Press the Transfer key, call then will transfer directly to extn
Conference Calls
Whilst on a call, press the Conf soft key
Make additional call - internal or external
Press Add soft key to then either add another call or
Press Begin soft key to start the conference call
Paging per Extn
Lift handpiece
Dial extn number or press one touch key
Dial 1, call then converts to voice signal on the speaker
Announce
Paging All Extns
Lift handpiece
Dial code 701
Then dial 1 ( All extns are in group 1 by default )
Announce
Last Number Redial
Lift handpiece
Press Left key on Rotary button
Dial #.
Last Number Redial Scroll
Leave handpiece on hook
Press the Left key on Rotary button
Use volume keys to scroll through last ten dialled numbers
Lift handset / press Speaker to dial number.
Caller ID Press List Soft Key
Press CID Soft Key
Use arrow keys to scroll through numbers
[ Number that display a * are missed calls ]
Quick Speed Dialling
Lift handpiece
Press Redial
Dial 3 digit speed dial number
Speed Dialling Scroll
Press Dir Soft key
Press SPD Soft key
Press SYS Soft key
Use arrow keys to scroll through speed dials
Lift Handpiece / press Speaker to call
Call Pick Up Direct Extn
Lift handpiece
Dial [ * * ]
Then the extn number e.g 101
Call Pick Up Group
Lift handpiece
Dial [ * # ] will answer 1st call in the Call pick up group
Do Not Disturb (DND)
Leave handpiece on-hook
Press Prog Soft key
Press DND soft key
Press Set soft key
Press desired DND code
Ext - for external incoming calls
Icm - for internal incoming calls
All - for both external & internal incoming calls
To cancel DND
Press Prog Soft Key
Press DND Soft key
Press Cncl Soft key
Call Forward All Calls - Set/Cancel
Press Speaker
Dial 741 or press CF/ALL key
Press 1 to Set or Press 0 to cancel
Dial destination number [ Internal Extn, Voicemail, External Number ]

Menu Structure when PRG15-02-60 is set to Advanced Mode 1
The following table shows the menu structure of the Cursor Keys. You can reach the desired
menu by pressing Navigation Keys (Up / Down / Right / Left) or dial 3 digits for shortcut access after
pressing the “Enter Key”to activate a menu.
