1 INTRODUCTION – GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 PURPOSE OF THE MANUAL
These instructions are written by the manufacturer and come with the machine.
The given information is intended for technically qualified experts.
The instructions define clearly the purpose of the machine and contain all the necessary data to insure a safe and
proper use.
The manufacturer's accurate consideration of the standard procedures guarantees safety to the
personnel and the machine, its economical use and its longevity.
The instructions are divided in different chapters for an easier reading.
It is recommended to use the index for a faster search.
Some notes or warnings are written in bold and marked with the following signs.
The meaning of the signs:
Instructions MUST be followed carefully.
Ignoring these instructions can lead to injuries.
The sign warns the user about a possible
situation, which can put in danger the personnel
or the property.

1.4 RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BUYER
All the maintenance procedures are described in the manual. Do not try to do any maintenance work or any other
procedures that are not included in the manual.
The technical data about the electric equipment (installation) are on the identification label on the casing of the
electric box (as seen in the scheme of the identification label in chapter 1.3).
After reading and understanding the instructions the use and maintenance of the machine is only
allowed to technically qualified experts and authorized personnel.

2 THE DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
2.1 THE PURPOSE
The sorting conveyor is designed for one purpose only, sorting – removing manually poor-quality fruits - and
transporting fruit.
2.2 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
- The sorting conveyor has a belt made of non-toxic material.
- Mounted on pivoting wheels.
- Height regulation of legs.
- Speed regulation with frequency regulator on the central command box.

2.4 TECHNICAL DATA
2.5 WORK AREA
- The machine can be used and operated by two persons.
- The work area may change according to the layout and disposition of the machine.
- If working with a complete fruit processing line, the operation occurs beside the central command box.
Example of a general layout of the stone fruit processing line.
The working area must be clean and cleared up.

3 SAFETY
3.1 SAFETY DEVICES
Emergency stop switch (*)
The Emergency stop switch interrupts the functioning of the whole fruit processing line when pushed.
(*) It is located at the central command box (fruit processing line).
3.2 SAFETY MECHANISMS
Commands
The control panel is clearly visible, easily reachable at the central command box. The switches can be used just
for the purposes they are meant to.
Sudden black-out
In case of a sudden blackout changing or reconnecting to the electric network the machine does not cause
dangerous situations such as:
- a sudden start,
- prevention of disconnection if there was already an order made,
- improper operation of safety devices.
Stability of the machine
The machine is fitted on pivoting wheels and, therefore, mobile. Pivoting wheels are equipped with a double break
which prevents transversal and lateral moving. After placing the machine in the working space you must activate
the breaks.
Power supply
The machine has a regulated grounding of all built-in electric devices, the control panel and an overvoltage
protection with a safety contact switch.
3.3 SAFETY REGULATIONS
The owner of the machine must ensure:
- that the safety regulations are available to the personnel operating the machine,
- that the personnel operating the machine is acquainted with the safety regulations and skilled for the
operation of the machine,
- that the safety regulations are considered.
The intervention in the central command box is allowed to authorized personnel only. Authorised
personnel perform the preventive maintenance work without intervention in the electric command box.
The safety regulations from the manufacturer are only the basics of protection from dangerous
situations. An efficient protection from dangerous situations is not only about knowledge regarding
them, but also putting them in practice.

An arbitrary making of any technical changes on the machine which may affect the primary purpose of the
machine or the safety of personnel and are not made in accordance with the manufacturer (ŠRAML d.o.o.) lead to
a loss of warranty and responsibility of the manufacturer (ŠRAML d.o.o.).
The protective and safety devices must not be intentionally disabled when the machine is normally functioning.
3.4 SAFETY AT WORK PLACE
3.5 SAFETY BEFORE AND DURING THE FUNCTIONING
After any works that demand the demounting of the safety elements, these must be mounted back again and their
functioning must be checked.
During the automatic functioning it is forbidden to do any kind of work on the machine (cleaning or maintenance).
The machine can be operated only by qualified personnel in a proper physical and mental state.
-A person that is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or similar is not allowed to operate the
machine, perform washing or maintenance work.
-The person operating the machine must check all the safety devices and the visible faultiness or
defects before starting the machine.
Errors occurring during the functioning may affect the safety of the procedure, in which case the
operator must immediately stop the machine.
-Use the described safety mechanisms.
-The working area must be clean, cleared up and well illuminated.
-The floor must always be clean.
Before starting the machine, check:
-that all the safety elements are mounted,
-that there are no objects on the machine (for example tools, work gloves etc.).

3.6 SAFETY DURING CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE – THE PROCEDURE OF
ISOLATION OF THE MACHINE
- Never wash the electric command box with water or any other fluid cleaning agents.
- If there are many people near the machine when doing the maintenance work, it is important to warn them
every time the machine is restarted.
3.7 PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT
- Antiskid footwear.
- Appropriate clothes.
Before starting any maintenance works on the machine it is necessary to:
-unplug the machine,
-turn the main switch into position 0.
Never climb on the machine!

4 TRANSPORT, MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION
The machine is transported with a lorry. It is made and delivered as one.
4.1 LIFTING
During loading and unloading avoid impacts of the cargo.
4.2 PLACING THE MACHINE
The machine is fitted on four pivoting wheels with double brakes, which allows it to be mobile. The pivoting
wheels have a double break that prevents lateral and transversal moving. It must be placed on plane ground. The
working area can be either at the open (with a roof over) or in a building.
4.3 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The electric installation is made following the wiring diagram, which is attached to the manual.
The manipulation of the lifted cargo is allowed to qualified personnel only!
The retention under the elevated cargo is strictly prohibited!
ATTENTION!
Before moving the machine, unplug it!
Only qualified personnel can connect the machine to the electric network!
Check the power supply before connecting the machine.

5 COMMANDS
5.1 OVERVIEW OF COMMAND ELEMENTS – CENTRAL COMMAND BOX
5.1.1 CENTRAL COMMANDO BOX (STONE FRUIT PROCESSING LINE)

5.1.2 DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CENTRAL COMMAND BOX ELEMENTS
1) MAIN PLUG:
It is used for connecting the fruit processing line to the power supply.
2) CONTROL PANEL:
It is used for controlling all the machines in the fruit processing line (see section 5.1.3 for more information).
3) WHITE LIGHT SIGNAL:
Indicates that the machine is connected to the power supply.
4) MAIN SWITCH:
Moving the switch onto 0 position, the power supply is interrupted. Moving the main switch onto position 1, the
fruit processing line activates.

5) MACHINE PLUGS:
Each machine has a plug assigned with a number tag. Make sure that all machines are connected in the right way
by matching the number tags.
6) SENSOR PLUGS:
These plugs are used to connect sensors. Some machines use safety sensors to activate or stop automatically.
5.1.3 CONTROL PANEL
The control panel consists of the following elements:

5.1.4 DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROL PANEL ELEMENTS
1) RED LIGHT SIGNAL “ERROR”:
Indicates that an error has occurred in the fruit processing line (e.g. the emergency stop switch has been pushed
or the doors of the destoning machine are open).
2) EMERGENCY STOP SWITCH:
The emergency stop switch interrupts the functioning of the whole fruit processing line when pushed.
In order to continue working, it is necessary to deactivate it by pulling it.
3) MODE SWITCH:
Switch used for selecting manual or automatic mode.
This switch affects the whole function of all the machines of the entire fruit processing line (see section 7.2 for
more information).
4) ON/OFF BUTTON:
Each machine connected to the fruit processing line has an assigned button marked with a nametag.
This button is divided in 2 parts: the green button »ON« and the red button »OFF«.
The green button »ON« starts the selected machine when pushed (manual mode only). Once pushed a green
light will turn on indicating that the machine is running.
The red button »OFF« stops the selected machine when pushed (manual mode only). The green light will turn off.
5) FREQUENCY REGULATOR:
Regulates the speed of the selected machine. By turning the knob to the left the speed will decrease. By turning
the knob to the right the speed will increase.
6) PUMP MODE SWITCH:
This switch is used for selecting manual or automatic functioning of the pump (EURO30). Regularly a pump is
used to pump the achieved product from the stone cleaner to the stone cleaner (stone fruit processing line). The
stone cleaner has a level switch that activates automatically the pump when the collection tray is full (the
automatic mode has to be selected).
The central command box controls the operation of the entire fruit processing line; therefore some
actions performed will affect all the machines that conform the processing line.

6 STARTING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE
6.1 STARTING THE MACHINE
Procedure of turning on the machine:
- Be sure that the central command box is connected to the power supply.
- Check that the machine is connected to the central command box, otherwise do it using the correct cable
arranged by numbers and marked with a tag.
- Activate the processing line by turning the main switch to the position »|«.
- The sorting conveyor and the machines connected to the central command box are ready for use.
6.2 STOPPING THE MACHINE
6.2.1 NORMAL SHUTDOWN
If working in manual mode
- Normal stop of the machine is done by pressing the red button »OFF« assigned to the machine (conveyor)
on the central command box, this action will stop just the conveyor.
- By turning the mode switch to “0” position, the machine will stop but also all the machines working in manual
mode.
If working in automatic mode
- When working in automatic mode it is not possible to stop each machine separately, so it is necessary to turn
the mode switch to “0” position (this action will stop all the machines but the mash pump) and then press the
red button »OFF« assigned to the mill in order to completely stop the automatic mode.
See chapter 7 for more information about the working modes.
Before starting the machine check all the conditions for a safe functioning:
-check that there are no objects on the machine, which could block normal functioning,
-make sure that there are no people standing by the machine and could be endangered when
turning the machine on,
-check if the electrical cable and plugs are undamaged.
Never plug in the machine with wet hands!
If you wish to stop the machine completely, it is necessary to follow the above-mentioned procedures
and then turn the main switch to 0 position. Be aware that this operation will affect the whole function
of all the machines connected to the central command box.

6.2.2 SHUTDOWN IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
A shutdown in case of emergency is possible by pressing the Emergency STOP switch on the control panel.
It is possible to continue operating after having reset the safety switch.
7 USE OF THE MACHINE
The machine is intended exclusively for sorting – removing manually poor-quality fruits - and transporting fruit
from one machine to another.
7.1 SORTING AND TRANSPORTING
The sorting process begins by placing fruits on the sorting belt.
- Once the sorting conveyor is activated (see section 6.1 for a description of the procedure), select the desired
function mode (manual or automatic).
- Once selected the function mode, the sorting conveyor will start working.
- The speed can be regulated with the frequency regulator assigned to the conveyor located at the central
command box (no matter what function mode has been selected).
- Begin the sorting process by removing manually poor-quality fruits.
- The machine will transport fruit automatically to its destination.
- The sorting and transportation process is done.
It is forbidden to use the machine for any other purpose.
Manual mode
- The manual mode can be selected by turning the mode switch to the left; to the position marked with a
»!«.
- In this mode, the user can use the machine only when desired.
- Localize the central command box and press the green button »ON«
assigned to the conveyor to turn it on, it
is marked with a nametag.
- Press the red button »OFF« assigned to the stone cleaner to turn it off.
- To disable the manual mode, simply turn the mode switch to the »0« position.
Automatic mode
- The automatic mode can be selected by turning the mode switch to the right; to the position marked with a
»!«.
- This mode activates all the machines connected to the central command box simultaneously (without turning
them on separately). To activate them, push the green button »ON«
assigned to the mash pump (or the first
machine assigned on the control panel from left to right).
In this mode it is not possible to stop each machine separately.
- To disable the automatic mode, simply turn the mode switch to »0«
position and press the red button
»OFF«
assigned to the mash pump (or the first machine assigned on the control panel from left to right) in
order to stop all the machines.
Depending on the layout of the fruit processing line, some sorting conveyors will not have a
frequency regulator and they will have a proper default speed for its function.

7.1.1 SETTING THE HEIGHT AND THE INCLINATION
The height and inclination of the machine are factory-set, but they can be modified if ever needed.
Setting the height
- To set the height it is necessary to loosen the screws shown in the picture below, then select the desired
height and tighten the screws again. This procedure has to be performed in both legs of the machine.
Setting the inclination
- To set the inclination it is necessary to loosen the screw shown in the picture below, then select the desired
inclination and tighten the screw again. This procedure has to be performed in both sides of the machine.

7.1.2 ADJUSTING THE TENSION OF THE BELT
The tension of the belt is set by the manufacturer but it can be modified if ever needed.
Sometimes occurs that the belt looses tension due to the weight of the fruit load.
To adjust the tension proceed as follows:
- Localize the upper screws in both sides of the conveyor (shown in the picture below).
- Use a 13mm wrench in order to tighten or loosen the screws and therefore the belt tensioner.
- By turning the screws clockwise the belt tensioner tightens, in the same way, by turning the screws counter
clockwise the belt tensioner loosens.
7.2 WASHING
7.2.1 WASHING THE EXTERIOR OF THE MACHINE
Cover the command box with watertight material (for example polyvinyl).
The equipment can be washed with a soft brush and water and/or with a high pressure cleaner.
The same actions have to be performed on both sides! (e.g. If the right screw is turned clockwise 3
times, the left screw has to be turned clockwise 3 times as well). This will ensure uniform tension.
ATTENTION! It is necessary to isolate the machine during any maintenance work:
-unplug the machine,
-turn the main switch to position 0.
Do not rinse the central command box or the own electric command box directly!

8 MAINTENANCE
Maintenance of the command box is only allowed to the authorized personnel. The manufacturer and the
salesman, where you bought the machine provide an authorized service.
ATTENTION! It is necessary to isolate the machine during any maintenance work:
-unplug the machine,
-turn the main switch to position 0.
