KNOW YOUR BASEBOARD HEATER
Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features
and safety rules.
This product is intended for indoor residential and oce use only, not for industrial or
other commercial application. Use only with electrical wiring that is in good working
order and that meets applicable codes and ordinances. This heater must be plugged in to
a 120 V AC, 15 A (or larger) circuit. Do not plug anything additional into the same circuit.
If you have any questions whether your wiring is adequate, consult a qualified electrician.
Risk of fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury or even death may result if
not adhered to.
Use your heater only with a working smoke detector located in the vicinity of the heater.
While using your heater, you should follow the IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS listed below.
As part of those instructions, we have used the word “WARNING” to indicate the level of
hazard: WARNING indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in injury or death.

Operation
HEATER OPERATION
Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions and
recommendations listed in this manual.
HEATER LOCATION: Place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest. Do not
locate against walls or behind drapes or furniture.
HEATER CONNECTION: Plug heater directly into 120 V AC, 60 Hz wall outlet. Be sure plug
fits tightly in the outlet. A loose connection may cause overheating and damage to the
plug or heater.
NOTE: To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that is
servicing other electrical needs.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet (120 V AC, 60 Hz). Connect heater to properly-
grounded outlets only. Power indicator will illuminate and (- -) will display on the control
panel screen.
!WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD Use your heater only in dry environments.
This heater is not intended for use near sinks, washing machines,
swimming pools or other sources of water. Do not use in damp
environments such as flooded basements.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD Do not use near combustible materials or
flammable gases or sources of heat. Do not place the heater near a bed
because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall o the bed and be
ignited by the heater.

TURN THE HEATER ON OR OFF
Upon plugging in the heater, the Power
Indicator Light will be illuminated and the unit
will be in its standby state. In this state, “- -” is
shown on the display and indicates that the
unit is on but not heating.
Pressing the ON/OFF button once will
select the Low Heat (750W) setting,
indicated by the illumination of the Low
Heat Indicator Light.
Pressing the ON/OFF button a second time
will select the High Heat (1500W) setting,
indicated by the illumination of the High
Heat Indicator Light.
Pressing the ON/OFF button a third time
will return the heater to the standby state.
Make sure the heater is in the standby state
before unplugging. The heater should be
unplugged when not in use.
NOTE: During the heater’s initial use, you
may experience a slight odour or smoking.
This is the result of the heating element
lubrication “burning o”. This is normal and
will go away after a few minutes of use.
NOTE: Heater will function in the Low or
High heat setting independently of the
thermostat, when the thermostat is set to
“00C” or “00F”.
NOTE: The temperature value displayed in
both heat settings is the current ambient
temperature.
TEMPERATURE UNITS
To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit
units, press the MODE button once. The
digital display will blink 3 times and then
automatically switch. Temperature will reset
to the default setting when units are changed.
SETTING THE THERMOSTAT
When the heater is in the heat setting
(either Low or High), press the UP/DOWN
button once to select the thermostat
option. This is indicated by the illumination
of the Temperature Indicator Light and by
a flashing “00C” on the display (or “00F”,
depending on the selected units). At this
time, press the UP/DOWN buttons to raise
or lower the temperature set point.
OR
Once the desired temperature is reached,
press the MODE button once to select
the Timer option or twice to exit both
options – this will return the display to the
ambient temperature. Alternatively, the
unit will automatically save and exit after 15
seconds of inactivity, returning the display
to the ambient temperature. After exiting,
the Temperature Indicator Light will remain
illuminated to show that the thermostat
option is active.
NOTE: When the ambient air temperature is
equal to or below the thermostat set point,
the heater will automatically turn on. If the
ambient air temperature is greater than the
thermostat set point, the heater will turn o

– in this state, the Power and Temperature
Indicator Lights will remain illuminated and
the ambient temperature will be displayed.
SETTING THE TIMER
When the heater is in the heat setting
(either Low or High), press the MODE
button two times to select the timer
option. This is indicated by the illumination
of the Timer Indicator Light and by a
flashing “00H” on the display. At this time,
press the UP/DOWN buttons to set the
length of time for the heater to run. The
timer adjustment range is from 1 to 12
hours.
Once the desired time is reached, press the
MODE button once to exit – this will return
the display to the ambient temperature.
Alternatively, the unit will automatically
save and exit after 15 seconds of inactivity,
returning the display to the ambient
temperature. After exiting, the Timer
Indicator Light will remain illuminated to
show that the timer option is active.
To turn the timer o, select the timer
option using the MODE button and adjust
the time displayed to “00H”.
NOTE: When the timer has reached its
setting, the timer indicator light will turn
o and the heater will automatically turn
o, returning to the standby state.
USING THE THERMOSTAT AND TIMER AT
THE SAME TIME
It is possible to have both the thermostat
and timer active at the same time. To do
so, follow the instructions under “Setting
the Thermostat”. Once the desired
temperature has been reached, press the
MODE button once to select the timer
option and follow the instructions under
“Setting the Timer”.
NOTE: When both the thermostat and
timer options are active, the heater
will remain on until the timer setting is
reached. When the timer has reached its
setting, the heater will automatically turn
o, returning to the standby state.
CAUTION INDICATOR LIGHT
When overheating occurs, the Caution
Indicator Light will illuminate and the heater
will turn o immediately. Refer to the ‘Safety
Features’ section (pg. 8) for heater reset
instructions.
Operation
NOTE: If the cable is unplugged, you will need to set the temperature and the time again
when starting the unit next time.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Safety Features
The power indicator light, located near the control panel, lights whenever the heater is
plugged in. The heater is equipped with an automatic overheat protection device located
inside the body of the heater. If the heater grill is obstructed, or if the heater gets too
hot for any reason, the automatic overheat protection device will turn the heater o. To
reset the heater, simply turn power o and unplug the heater for 10 minutes until it cools
down, then plug in and restart the heater. Be sure that the heater is on a smooth, level
surface with no obstructions. The heater is also equipped with a safety tip-over switch.
This switch will shut the heater o if the heater is tipped over. It will reset when the heater
is placed upright.
CLEANING
CAUTION – Before cleaning the heater be sure to disconnect power cord and allow the
heater to cool completely. Clean the outside surface with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use
harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. DO NOT IMMERSE THE HEATER IN WATER. Allow
heater to dry completely before use.
REPAIR
DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITHOUT THE GRILL IN PLACE. DO NOT USE THE
HEATER IF IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED OR BECOME DAMAGED IN ANY WAY.
STORAGE
Keep original carton for storage of the heater. Coil and tie the power cord to avoid
damage during storage.

Important Safeguards
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible material, such
as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3’ (0.9 m) from the
front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or persons
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities and whenever the heater is left
operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater
malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return
to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor
locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water
container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or
similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away
from trac area and where it will not be tripped over.
9. To disconnect heater, turn controls to o, then remove plug from outlet.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as
this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not
use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where
gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by
the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension
cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
15. PET OWNERS NOTE: Birds and some small pets are extremely sensitive to the fumes
given o during the initial use of many appliances. Although these fumes are not
harmful to humans, it is recommended that this heater not be used around birds and
small pets during its initial use until the manufacturing corrosion coatings burn o.
16. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

Safety
!WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD Do not use with damaged cord or plug.
Use with adequate electrical system that is up to code.
The supply cord has a polarized plug. As a safety feature this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. To prevent electric shock, match the wide
blade of the plug to the wide slot, and fully insert plug. If the plug does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use an extension cord. DO NOT
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Do not operate heater with a broken heating element or ceramic cone or
any visual imperfections. For repairs covered under warranty, see warranty
statement.
Do not use an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat
and cause a risk of fire.
Do not operate heater with its ventilation obstructed.

LIMITED 1YEAR WARRANTY
This product carries a one (1) year warranty against defects in workmanship and
materials. Noma Canada agrees to replace a defective product, within the stated
warranty period, when returned to the place of purchase with proof of purchase.
This product is not guaranteed against wear or breakage due to misuse and/or abuse.
