1. The U-SRG is a circular rotatable stage for use with BX-series microscopes. The stage increase the efficiency of
simplified polarized observations and DIC observations.
2. The rotatable stage is attached to the stage holder by round dovetail. No adapter is necessary. The stage is
equipped with a centering mechanism that allows movement over a range of 5 mm.

First, remove the stage mounted on the BX-series microscope, replacing it with the U-SRG rotatable
stage. When replacing the stage, be very careful to avoid striking parts such as objectives.

0 To make centering easier, use at eyepiece with crosshairs.
1. Move the 1OX objective into the light path and place an object that
can serve as a specimen mark at the center of the crosshairs.
2. Rotate the stage and use the two stage centering knobs 0 to move
the center of the circle described by the specimen mark to the center
of the crosshairs. (Fig. I)
* Repeat the above procedure several times until the stage is
accurately centered. (Fig. 2)
3. Insert the specimen clamped @ into whichever holes in the stage are
most convenient. (Fig. 3)
