Trafficsafety

automaticallytoMIRCElectronics Ltduponinsertion of the SIM
card.It isintheinterestof the usertoregister itsdetailswiththe
companyfor anyfutureservices, asmaybe needed. The user
agreestopaytheSMSchargesinrespect of theautomatedSMS
senttothecompanyupon insertionof the SIMcard
2.Getting Started
2.1Batteries
The batteryisincludedinthepackage.Itisnot fullychargedoutof
factorybutit maystill beabletopower on yourphone. Please
completelyuseup the powerofthebatteryand then charge itfor at
least12hourswithyour phoneturnedoff. Youbatterywill reachits
optimalstateafterthreecyclesof chargeand discharge.
2.1.1Installinganduninstalling thebattery
Toinstallthebattery,removethebackcoverfromthephone by
pressingfirmlyon thecover andslideitdown.

Align thegoldencontactsofthebatterytothecontactsinthephone,
andthengentlysnapdownthebatteryintoplace.Re-assemblethe
backcover.
Touninstall thebattery,flipthebatteryout fromthe bottomof the
battery.
2.1.2Chargingthebattery
Plug thechargerintothesocketontheside ofyourphone.Connect

the charger toan ACwall socket. Theblinking ofthebatterylevel
icon indicatesthe batteryisbeing charged.When theblinkingstops,
it indicatesthechargingisfinished
Duringcharging,the phoneand chargerwill feelwarmtothe touch.
Thisisnormal.
Warning:
ØThe operatingambienttemperatureofthe chargeris0°C-50°C.
Donot useit when thetemperature exceedsthislimit.
ØUseonlychargersapprovedbythephone manufacturerto
ensuresafety.Failingtocomplywiththiswill violatethetermsand
conditionsofthewarranty.
2.1.3Usingthebattery
The waitingtimeandcalling timecapacitiesspecifiedbythephone
manufacturerare obtained undertheidealoperating environment.
The actualvalueswillvarywiththenetworkcondition,operating
environmentandoperationmethod.
Pleasecomplywiththelocalregulationsofdisposingthebattery
(suchasrecycling).Donotdisposeitashouseholdwaste.
2.1.4Batterylevel indicator
When the phoneison,thebatterylevelindicatorislocatedatthe
upper right cornerofthescreen.
2.1.5Installinganduninstalling thememorycard
Youcanstore videos,photos,images,MP3,e-books,audioclipsto
amemorycard. Thememorycardisinstalledand uninstalled as
follows:
Insertthememorycardintothememorycardslotinthedirectionof
the arrowand keepthemetalside ofthe memorycardinproper
contactwithspring sheetof the cardslot.

PleaseinsertavailableSubscriberIdentityModule(SIM) cardinto
yourphonebeforeusing it. SIMcard issupplied byyournetwork
carrier.
All theinformationrelatedtonetworkconnectionisrecordedonthe
SIMcard,soarethecontactinformation suchasnames,phone
numbersand SMSsthatyousettostoreon theSIM.Youcan take
outtheSIMcard fromthephoneandinsertitintoanotherGSM
phone touseit.Mostnewphoneswill recognizethe SIMcard
automatically.
Donottouchthe golden contactsofthe SIMcard and placeitaway
fromelectricityand magnetismtoavoiddamage.Youwill notbe
abletousethephone iftheSIMcard isdamaged.
Note:
ØBeforeinserting and taking outtheSIMcard,alwaysmakesure
thatthe phone isswitched off and disconnectedfromanyexternal
powersource;otherwiseboththe phoneandthe SIMcardmaybe
damaged.
2.2.2InstallinganduninstallingtheSIMcard
The SIMcard usuallycomesattachedtoaspecialcard.The metal
contactsofSIMcardiseasilydamagedbyscratching,sotakeitout
carefullybeforeassembling itintothephone.
Switchoff the phone, removethebackcover, batteryandother
externalpower source.FittheSIMcardintotheSIMcardslot.Align
the angledcorner of the SIMcardwiththe slot. Slide intheSIM
card, makesure it isinplace, install the battery, and restore the
backcover.
Likewise,toremovetheSIMcard,switchoff the phone,removethe
batteryandthentakeouttheSIMcard.

2.2.3UnlocktheSIMcard

enterthePINcodeeverytimeyouturnonthephone.Youcan also
disablethisfunction.
TounlocktheSIMcard, press and holdthe power button toturn on
the phone. Enter thePINcode. After threeconsecutiveincorrect
PINcodeentries, thecode isblocked,and youneed the PUKcode
tounblockit.
PUK code
Thiscode isrequired tochange alocked PINcode.Ifthe code is
notsuppliedwiththeSIMcard, contact yourserviceprovider. After
ten consecutiveincorrectPUKcode entries,theSIMcard cannot
be used anymore.Pleasecontactyourserviceprovider tobuya
newSIMcard.You cannoteditPUKcode.If itislost,Please
contactyourserviceprovider.
2.2.4Connectingtothenetwork
After theSIMcard isunlocked,yourphonewill automatically
searchfortheregistered networkorother localavailablenetwork.
Onceconnected,thenameofthe networkcarrierwill appear on the
top of the screen.
Youphone isnowinStandbymode,readyformaking and receiving
calls.

When the networkcarrierisshownonthe screen, your phonehas
enteredthe Standbymodeandyoumaymakeor receivecalls. If
you haveinstalledtwoSIMcards,the twonetworkcarrierswill both
appearonthe screen.
2.5.3Direct dial
Press anynumber keytoenter theDialscreen.
Domesticcall
Press number keytoenteringthe phonenumber(addarea code
whencalling longdistance), and thenpress thedialkey Send to
makethe phone call.

Keyinthesymbol“+”bypress-and-hold *Key,followedbythe
desiredcountrycodeandthephonenumber.Forexample,tomake
acall toFrance,hold *Key until “+”appearsthen enter“33” (the
countrycode for France)andthe phonenumber.
2.5.4DialfromthePhonebook
Enter Phonebookfromthe MainMenu.You mayusealphabetfor
quicksearchofthenames.
2.5.5Unansweredcall
Ifyouhavesetup AutoRe-dial,yourphone will automatically
re-dialthelastnumber thatyoucalledbut unanswered.
2.5.6Answercall
When there’san incoming call,thephone will notifyyouthrough
vibration,ringing,vibrationplusringing,etc.Thenameandphone
numberofthecaller isshownonthe screen ifthe networksupports
the service. Youmayanswerorrejectthe call.
Ifcall waitingison,(Youneedtoapplyforthisservicetoyour
networkcarrier.)whenyouareonthephoneand thereisanother
incomingcall, yourphone will notifyyou withashorttone. Youmay
answer or rejectthatsecond call.Ifyouchoosetoanswer the
second call, the current call will be on hold.

YoumayenterDialorPhonebookscreenstomakeanewphone
call whilethecurrent phone call isstill on-going.
Note: Inthedualcardmode, if one cardisinuse, the other card is

SecuritySettings
Youcan manage yourphone safelywiththisfunction.
The phonelockpassword, SIMcardpasswordand PIN2support
4-8digitnumbers, donot support othercharacters.The original
passwordofthephone whenleavingthefactoryis0000. The
passwordand PIN2andSIMcard areprovided bythenetwork
operator.When the PIN/PIN2isinputwronglyinsuccessivelythree
times, theSIMcardwill belocked.
The PUK/PUK2arerequiredtoinputifyou wanttounlocktheSIM
card. ThePUK/PUK2isprovidedbythenetworkoperator.Ifthe
PUKisinputwronglyinsuccessively10times, theSIMcardwillbe
locked and discarded permanently.
ŸPIN: openorclosethePINlockfunction.When PINlockis
launched, the PINshall beinput uponeachpower-on.
