2. GettingStarted
2.1. Batteries
Thebatteryisincluded inthepackage.Itisnotfullychargedoutoffactorybutit maystill beabletopoweronyourphone.Pleasecompletelyuseupthepower
ofthebatteryandthencharge it foratleast12hourswithyourphoneturned off.Youbatterywillreachitsoptimalstateafterthreecyclesofchargeand
discharge.
2.1.1. Installinganduninstallingthebattery
To installthebattery,removethebackcoverfromthephonebypressingfirmlyonthecoverandslide it down.Alignthegoldencontactsofthebatteryto the
contactsinthephone,andthengentlysnapdownthebatteryintoplace.Re-assemblethebackcover.
To uninstallthebattery,flipthebatteryoutfromthebottomofthebattery.
2.1.2. Chargingthebattery
Plugthechargerintothesocketonthesideofyourphone.ConnectthechargertoanACwallsocket.Theblinkingofthebatteryleveliconindicatesthebattery
isbeingcharged.Whentheblinkingstops,it indicatesthechargingisfinished
Duringcharging,thephoneandchargerwillfeelwarmtothetouch. Thisisnormal.
Warning:
ØTheoperatingambienttemperatureofthechargeris0°C-50°C.Donotuseit whenthetemperatureexceedsthislimit.
ØUseonlychargersapproved bythephonemanufacturerto ensuresafety.Failingto complywiththiswill violatethetermsandconditionsofthewarranty.
2.1.3. Usingthebattery
Thewaitingtimeandcallingtimecapacitiesspecifiedbythephonemanufacturerareobtainedundertheidealoperatingenvironment.Theactualvalueswill
varywiththenetworkcondition, operatingenvironmentandoperationmethod.
Pleasecomplywiththelocalregulationsofdisposingthebattery(suchas recycling).Do notdisposeitas householdwaste.

Whenthephoneison,thebatterylevelindicatorislocatedattheupperrightcornerofthescreen.
2.2. ConnectingtotheNetwork
2.2.1. SIM card
PleaseinsertavailableSubscriberIdentityModule(SIM) cardintoyourphonebeforeusingit.SIMcardissuppliedbyyournetworkcarrier.
Alltheinformationrelatedto networkconnectionisrecordedontheSIMcard,so arethecontact informationsuchasnames,phonenumbersandSMSthatyou
settostoreontheSIM.YoucantakeouttheSIMcardfromthephoneandinsertitinto anotherGSMphoneto useit.MostnewphoneswillrecognizetheSIM
cardautomatically.
DonottouchthegoldencontactsoftheSIMcardandplaceitaway fromelectricityandmagnetismtoavoiddamage.Youwill notbe abletousethephoneifthe
SIMcardisdamaged.
Note:
ØBeforeinsertingandtakingouttheSIMcard,alwaysmakesurethatthephoneisswitchedoff anddisconnected fromanyexternalpowersource;otherwise
boththephoneandtheSIMcardmay be damaged.
2.2.2. InstallinganduninstallingtheSIM card
TheSIMcardusuallycomesattached toaspecialcard.ThemetalcontactsofSIMcardiseasilydamaged byscratching,sotakeit outcarefullybefore
assemblingit into thephone.
Switchoffthephone;removethebackcover,batteryandotherexternalpowersource.FittheSIMcardintotheSIMcardslot.Aligntheangled corneroftheSIM
cardwiththeslot.Slide intheSIMcard,makesureitisinplace,installthebattery,andrestorethebackcover.
Likewise,to removetheSIMcard,switchoff thephone,removethebatteryandthentakeouttheSIMcard.
2.2.3. UnlocktheSIMcard
PINcode
YourPersonalIdentificationNumber(PIN)codeprotectstheSIMcardagainstunauthorizeduse.YourPINcodeisusuallysuppliedwiththeSIMcard.Ifthis
securityfunctionisenabled,youneed to enterthePINcodeeverytimeyouturnonthephone.Youcanalso disablethisfunction.
