◆HANDLING THE WATCH
(1) Water resistance
Watches with water resistance are water resistant for daily use (30 m) and can
be worn when washing your face, etc. However, you cannot use it in an under-
water environment.
Watches with reinforced water resistance I are water resistant for daily use (50
m) and can be worn when swimming. However, you cannot use it for any div-
ing activities including skin diving.
Watches with reinforced water resistance II are water resistant for daily use
(100 m, 150 m or 200 m) and can be worn for skin diving activities. However,
you cannot use it for scuba diving using an air tank, saturated diving using
helium gas, etc.
(2) Shock
Remove the watch when you engage in strenuous sports. Light
sports such as golf will not adversely influence the watch.
Avoid violent shocks such as dropping the watch on the floor.
(3) Magnetism
If the watch is left at a location with strong magnetism for an
extended period of time, the components may be magnetized,
resulting in malfunction. Be careful.
The watch may temporarily speed up or slow down when exposed to magne-
tism. Precision is restored when placed away from magnetism. In such a case,
re-adjust the time.
(4) Vibration
The watch may lose precision if subjected to strong vi-
brations such as from riding motorcycles, using jackham-
mers, chain saws, etc.

* It is recommended that you use the watch correctly following the above-mentioned scope of
usage after ascertaining water resistance precautions marked on the dial face of the watch or
on the back of the watchcase.

(5) Temperature
The watch may malfunction and stop in environments below and above nor-
mal temperatures (5°C to 50°C).
(6) Chemicals, Gases, etc.
Utmost caution must be exercised when coming into contact with gases, mer-
cury, chemicals (paint thinner, gasoline, various solvents, detergents contain-
ing such components, adhesives, paint, drugs, perfumes, cosmetics, etc.), and
so forth. Such may cause discoloration of the watchcase, watchband, and dial
face. Discoloration, deformation, and damage to various resin-based compo-
nent parts may also occur.
◆REPLACING THE BATTERY
The SEIKO SR927W, Maxell SR927W or SONY SR927W battery that powers
your watch should last approximately 3 years. However, because it is installed
at the factory, the actual life of the battery may be less.
Replace the battery as soon as it runs down to prevent any possible malfunc-
tions.
We recommend taking the watch to your local watch repair shop to replace the
battery.
◆ABOUT “LUMINOUS LIGHT”
Some products use “Luminous Light” for the hands and dials. The “luminous
light” is a safe light-storing paint that does not contain radioactive materials.
◆WATER RESISTANT WATCHBAND
Some products employ leather and nylon bands on which a special treatment
to resist perspiration and water absorption have been applied. Please under-
stand that the water resisting effect of this watchband can be lost depending
on the period and conditions of use.

◆ACERCA DEL MANEJO DEL RELOJ
(1) Resistencia al agua
Los relojes con resistencia al agua pueden usarse diariamente (30 m) y le
permiten realizar actividades cotidianas con el reloj puesto, como lavarse la
cara, etc. Sin embargo, no pueden utilizarse en entornos subacuáticos.
Los relojes con resistencia al agua reforzada I pueden usarse diariamente (50
m) y le permiten realizar actividades de natación con el reloj puesto. Sin em-
bargo, no se pueden utilizar para practicar submarinismo, incluyendo el buceo
a pulmón libre.
Los relojes con resistencia al agua reforzada II pueden usarse diariamente
(100 m, 150 m ó 200 m) y le permiten realizar actividades de buceo a pulmón
libre. Sin embargo, no se pueden utilizar para practicar buceo con botellas de
aire, buceo a profundidad con gas de helio, etc.
(2) Golpes
Asegúrese de quitarse el reloj cuando participe en deportes
agotadores, aunque el uso del reloj para un deporte ligero
como el golf, etc., no tendrá efectos perjudiciales.
Evite los impactos fuertes, como dejarlo caer al suelo.
(3) Magnetismo
Si deja el reloj en un lugar cerca de un campo magnético fuerte
durante largo tiempo, los componentes del mismo podrán
magnetizarse y ocasionar una avería. Tenga cuidado.
El reloj se adelantará o atrasará temporalmente cuando sea expuesto a un
campo magnético, pero volverá a funcionar con la precisión original cuando lo
retire del magnetismo. En este caso, corrija la hora.
(4) Vibraciones
El reloj puede retrasarse temporalmente si se expone a
vibraciones fuertes, como al conducir una moto o al utilizar
martillos mecánicos, sierras de cadena, etc.

* Se recomienda que utilice el reloj correctamente observando las limitaciones indicadas arriba
después de haber confirmado el tipo de resistencia al agua marcado en la esfera del reloj o en
la tapa posterior de la caja del reloj.

(5) Temperaturas
En ambientes por debajo o por encima de la gama de temperaturas normales
(5°C a 50°C), el reloj puede funcionar defectuosamente y detenerse.
(6) Sustancias químicas, gases, etc.
Preste suma atención al entrar en contacto con gases, mercurio, sustancias
químicas (diluyente, gasolina, diversos disolventes, detergentes que contengan
tales componentes, adhesivos, pinturas, medicinas, perfumes, cosméticos,
etc.), y otros productos similares. El contacto con tales sustancias podrá
ocasionar la decoloración de la caja del reloj, la correa y la esfera. También
podrán decolorarse, deformarse y dañarse varios componentes fabricados a
base de resinas.
◆REEMPLAZO DE LA PILA
La pila SEIKO SR927W, Maxell SR927W, o SONY SR927W que alimenta su
reloj durará aproximadamente 3 años. Sin embargo, como ha sido instalada
en la fábrica, la duración real de la misma puede ser inferior.
Reemplace la pila tan pronto como se agote para evitar cualquier posible
desperfecto.
Le recomendamos que encargue el reemplazo de la pila a un taller de
reparaciones local.
◆SOBRE LA “LUZ LUMINOSA”
Algunos productos usan “luces luminosas” para las manecillas y los indicadores.
La “luz luminosa” es una pintura segura que absorbe luz y no contiene
materiales radioactivos.
◆CORREA RESISTENTE AL AGUA
Algunos productos emplean correas de cuero y nilón que han recibido un
tratamiento especial para resistir la transpiración y la absorción de agua.Tenga
en cuenta que el efecto de resistencia al agua de esta correa se puede perder,
dependiendo de los periodos y condiciones de uso.
