Turn the switch to the ”start” position. If you fail to do this, the dis-
play will instruct you to turn the switch back to this position. To
switch to receiving mode, press both red buttons on the quick lock
simultaneously, and pull it out of the transceiver. The shoulder strap
will then secure the m2.
During the coarse search (the search for the first signal), the dis-
play will remain empty. It will continue to remain empty even after
the first acoustic signal has been received.
As soon as the first optical signal is received, the search arrow with
the first display of bars and indication of distance (e.g. 40) will ap-
pear. At the same time the filled arrow head confirms the direction
to the buried transceiver.
The nearer you get to the buried transceiver, the more bars will appe-
ar on the arrow, and the number displaying distance will decrease.
The beep on the loudspeaker also gets louder the closer you get.
If you should leave the correct search path (the induction line), the
arrow head will disappear. Turn the m2 in a 30° arc and sweep from
right to left and back until the arrow head fills again to confirm the
correct direction.
When the search arrow is totally filled with bars, the red light flas-
hes, and the display will show a picture of the zone control switch
with an arrow indicating which direction it should be turned. The red
light will disappear once the switch has been turned.
Once you are within 3 m of the victim, a pinpoint search must be
carried out: Keeping the m2 still, take 1 or 2 steps forwards and
back or side to side until the display shows the shortest distance,
and the arrow shows the maximum number of bars.

RECEIVING MODEEMPFANGSBETRIEB
Der Drehschalter muß auf ”Start” stehen. Wenn nicht,
erscheint die Aufforderung zum Rückschalten. Die beiden
roten Entriegelungstasten am Empfangsumschalter gleich-
zeitig drücken; damit läßt sich der Umschalter herausziehen
– das m2 ist auf Empfang. Das Schulterband sichert das m2
weiterhin vor Verlust.
Während der Grobsuche (Suche nach dem Erstempfang)
bleibt das Display leer. Auch nach dem akustischen Erst-
empfang erfolgt noch keine Anzeige im Display.
Bei optischem Erstempfang erscheint der Suchpfeil mit den
ersten Balken und der Entfernungsangabe z.B. 40. Gleichzei-
tig füllt sich die Pfeilspitze um die korrekte Richtung zu be-
stätigen.
Bei Annäherung füllt sich der Suchpfeil, die Entfernungsan-
gabe verringert sich und der Ton im Lautsprecher wird lauter.
Wird der richtige Suchweg durch das Verlassen der Feldlinie
verloren, verschwindet die Pfeilspitze: Gerät um jeweils ca.
30° nach links und rechts schwenken, bis sich die Pfeilspitze
wieder füllt und die korrekte Richtung abermals bestätigt
wird.
Bei vollem Suchpfeil leuchtet die rote Signallampe und
fordert zum Rückschalten (=Leiserdrehen) auf. Die Leuchte
erlischt sofort nach dem Leiserdrehen.
Bei Annäherung unter ca. 3 m Punktortung durchführen bis
die kleinste Entfernungsangabe und die maximale Pfeilfüllung
erreicht ist. Der Suchende geht nun jeweils 1 bis 2 Schritte
vor und zurück, sowie nach links und rechts. Dabei sollte das
m2 nicht mehr geschwenkt werden.
