PRECAUCIONES IMPORTANTES
Al utilizar artefactos eléctricos siempre se deben implementar las precauciones
básicas de seguridad indicadas a continuación:

OSTER®.
1. NO toque las superficies calientes. Utilice las asas o las perillas.
2. Para protegerse contra incendios, descargas eléctricas o lesiones, NO sumerja el
cable, el enchufe ni el electrodoméstico en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.
3. Desenchufe la unidad del tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso y antes
de limpiarla. Deje que se enfríe por completo antes de colocar o sacar
accesorios y antes de limpiar el electrodoméstico.
4. Siempre se debe conectar primero el cable de alimentación al electrodoméstico
y luego enchufarlo en el tomacorriente. Para desconectarla, desenchúfela del
tomacorriente.
5. NO coloque el electrodoméstico directamente debajo de un tomacorriente.
6. NO haga funcionar el electrodoméstico si el cable de alimentación o el
enchufe están dañados o fallan, si el artefacto se cae o sufre cualquier otro
desperfecto. Devuélvalo al Centro de Servicio Autorizado Oster más cercano
para su inspección, reparación y ajuste eléctrico o mecánico.
7. El uso de accesorios o aditamentos no recomendados por el fabricante puede
ocasionar incendios, descargas eléctricas o lesiones personales.
8. NO utilice al aire libre.
9. NO deje que el cable cuelgue del borde de la mesa o la mesada ni que entre
en contacto con superficies calientes.
10. NO lo coloque cerca o sobre una estufa caliente, ya sea de gas o eléctrica,
dentro de un horno caliente ni cerca de materiales inflamables.
11. Se proporciona un cable de alimentación corto para disminuir los riesgos de
enredos o tropiezos que provocan los cables largos.
12. NO utilice este artefacto para otros fines distintos a los recomendados.
13. NO sujete el electrodoméstico por la tapa para moverlo; cerciórese de usar
las asas.
14. Debe emplearse extrema precaución al mover la unidad si contiene líquidos
calientes.
15. No use abrasivos fuertes, limpiadores cáusticos o de hornos para limpiar este
electrodoméstico.
16. Evite los cambios bruscos de temperatura, como por ejemplo, añadir
alimentos refrigerados o líquidos fríos a la fuente caliente.
17. Desenchufe el electrodoméstico del tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso y
antes de limpiarlo.

18. Deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarlo y guardarlo.
19. Al utilizar este electrodoméstico, cerciórese de que haya un espacio libre
adecuado en todos los costados para que el aire pueda circular. Mientras
esté en uso NO permita que el electrodoméstico entre en contacto con
cortinas, papel tapiz, telas, trapos de cocina u otros materiales inflamables.
Se requiere PRECAUCIÓN al colocarlo sobre superficies susceptibles al
calor. Se recomienda usar una base o un tapete aislante.
20. Para evitar rayar el acabado de la olla, use únicamente la paleta plástica que
viene con la unidad u otras paletas o espátulas plásticas. La olla no es apta
para calentarla sobre una estufa o en un horno. NOcubra la tapa con un
trapo de cocina.
21. Levante y abra la tapa con cuidado para evitar quemaduras por vapor y deje
que el agua se escurra dentro de la olla.
22. Al cocinar arroz u otros ingredientes, NO haga funcionar el electrodoméstico
sin la tapa colocada. Se produce vapor durante el uso.
23. Este artefacto eléctrico no está destinado para ser usado por personas (lo
que incluye niños) cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales estén
disminuidas, o carezcan de experiencia y conocimientos, a menos que una
persona responsable de su seguridad los supervise o les dé instrucciones
para usar este electrodoméstico. Los niños deberán estar bajo supervisión
para cerciorarse de que NO jueguen con el electrodoméstico.
24. Se requiere estricta supervisión cuando las personas discapacitadas o los
niños utilicen cualquier electrodoméstico o estén cerca de él.
25. Las instrucciones deben indicar que los electrodomésticos no están
diseñados para funcionar mediante un temporizador externo ni un sistema de
control remoto.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
ANTES DE USAR POR PRIMERA VEZ
Limpie la Tapa de Vidrio, la Olla, la Cuchara y la Taza Medidora de acuerdo con las
instrucciones para el mantenimiento.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA ARROCERA MULTI-USOS
Su Olla arrocera multiuso incluye una cómoda y útil función para sofreír la cual le permite
dorar o sofreír en aceite cebollas, ajos y otros ingredientes antes de cocinar. Puede
elegir cocinar el arroz o las comidas directamente sin necesidad de sofreír, pero esta
función adicional le ofrece mayor versatilidad para preparar sus recetas predilectas.
FUNCIÓN PARA SOFREÍR
Esta función ha sido diseñada para brindarle control al momento de sofreír/dorar y debe
regularse manualmente según se describe a continuación:
1. Retire la tapa y coloque los alimentos dentro de la unidad.
2. Enchufe el cable de alimentación a un tomacorriente y pulse una vez el botón de
encendido/apagado “ ” para sofreír para activar la función.
3. La Olla arrocera multiuso calentará la olla y sofreirá los alimentos contenidos
en ella.
4. Esta función requiere estricta supervisión y debe regularse manualmente. Cuando
haya terminado de dorar, apague la función pulsando una vez el botón de encendido/
apagado “ ” para sofreír.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de cocinar arroz, la función de sofreír debe apagarse manualmente.
NOTA: No utilice una cuchara metálica para revolver los alimentos dentro de la olla ya
que esto podría dañar el revestimiento antiadherente lo cual a la larga podría afectar el
desempeño de la unidad.
FUNCION DE COCCION AUTOMATICA
1. Asegúrese de que la Arrocera esté desconectada del tomacorriente.
2. Mida la cantidad deseada de arroz crudo con la Taza Medidora graduada (180 ml) que
viene con la Arrocera.
3. Una taza de arroz crudo rinde aproximadamente dos tazas de arroz cocido.
La capacidad máxima es de 7 tazas (1,2 L) de arroz crudo para el modelo 6028.
La capacidad máxima es de 10 tazas (1,8 L) de arroz crudo para los modelos 6029,
6029K, 6029M, 6029T, CKSTRC6129, CKSTRC6129R y CKSTRC6032. La capacidad
máxima es de 12 tazas (2,2 L) de arroz crudo para los modelos 6030, CKSTRC6130 y
CKSTRC6130R. La capacidad máxima es de 15 tazas (2,6 L) de arroz crudo para los
modelo CKSTRC6033. Coloque el arroz en la Olla.
4. Utilizando la taza de medida, añada la cantidad de agua correspondiente al arroz con-
tenido en la olla (por cada taza [180 ml] de arroz crudo, añada 1-1/2 tazas de agua).

NOTA: Tal vez deba recticar la cantidad de agua, dependiendo del tipo de arroz que
cocine y qué tan seco lo preera. Para obtener un arroz más pegajoso, añada un poco
más de agua. Para obtener arroz más suelto, añada un poco menos de agua. Si está
cocinando arroz integral, agregue más agua. Asimismo, quizás deba recticar la cantidad
de agua y añadir mayor cantidad si utiliza la olla arrocera en zonas de gran elevación.
5. Coloque la Olla dentro del Cuerpo Calefactor. Asegúrese de que la Olla haga contacto
con el plato calefactor girándola ligeramente de derecha a izquierda hasta que esté
colocada correctamente. Cubra con la tapa. AL UTILIZAR ESA MODALIDAD DE
COCCIÓN AUTOMÁTICA NO HAGA FUNCIONAR LA UNIDAD DESTAPADA. SE
PRODUCE VAPOR DURANTE SU USO.
6. Conecte el Cable eléctrico. Encienda la Arrocera presionando el Interruptor de
Encendido para Cocción hacia abajo. Verique que la Luz de Cocción (naranja) esté
iluminada.
Importante: Si utiliza la función para sofreír/dorar, deberá desactivar manualmente
dicha función antes de cocinar el arroz.
7. Después de 15 minutos mezcle el arroz. Levante y abra la Tapa cuidadosamente para
evitar quemarse y deje que el agua gotee hacia la Olla. Use la Cuchara o
cualquier otro utensilio con un mango largo para mezclar el arroz. Después de
mezclar, cubra la Olla con la Tapa.
8. Cuando el arroz ya esté cocido, la Arrocera automáticamente cambiará a la función de
calentar y la Luz de Calentar (verde) se iluminará. La Arrocera permanecerá
calentando hasta que la unidad sea desconectada del tomacorriente.
9. La Arrocera mantendrá el arroz caliente a una temperatura de 60°C – 80°C (140°F –
175°F) automáticamente.
10.Permita que el artefacto se enfríe completamente antes de limpiar. Desconecte la
Arrocera del tomacorriente cuando no la esté utilizando.
NOTAS:Lave el arroz en un tazón por separado si así lo desea. Para un arroz más
suave, sugerimos que prepare el arroz y el agua en la Olla y déjelo remojando de 10 a
20 minutos antes de cocinar.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA RECALENTAR EL ARROZ
Para recalentar arroz frío, agregue 1/4 de taza (4 cucharadas) de agua fría por cada taza
de arroz, revuelva y mezcle, después presione el Interruptor de Encendido para Cocción.
Cuando el arroz esté caliente, la Arrocera automáticamente cambiará a la función de
calentar.
CÓMO USAR LA BANDEJA PARA COCINAR A VAPOR
(MODELO CKSTRC6033 SOLAMENTE)
Los vegetales cocinados al vapor retienen mucho más los nutrientes que los
vegetales hervidos o cocidos y además conservan su color natural.
1. Prepare los vegetales, lávelos bien, pélelos y córtelos en trozos pequeños.
2. Asegúrese de que la Arrocera esté desconectada del tomacorriente.
3. Llene la Olla Interior con la cantidad de agua recomendada (Ver la Tabla).

4. Coloque la Olla Interior dentro del Cuerpo Calefactor. Asegúrese de que la Olla
Interior haga contacto con el plato calefactor.
5. Coloque los vegetales en la Bandeja para Cocinar a Vapor y coloque la Bandeja
encima de la Olla Interior. Cubra con la Tapa. NO OPERE ESTE ARTEFACTO
SIN QUE ESTÉ CUBIERTO CON LA TAPA. EL VAPOR SE GENERA
DURANTE EL USO.
6. Conecte la unidad al tomacorriente. Encienda la Arrocera presionando el
Interruptor hacia abajo. Verifique que la Luz de Cocción (roja) esté iluminada.
7. Controle manualmente el tiempo de cocción de acuerdo al siguiente cuadro. La
unidad pasará automáticamente al ciclo de mantener caliente al evaporarse toda
el agua. Si toda el agua llega a evaporarse y usted desea los alimentos más
cocidos, agregue más agua.
8. Una vez que los vegetales estén cocidos remueva la Bandeja para Cocinar al
Vapor de la Olla Interior.
9. Desconecte la Arrocera del tomacorriente y permita que se enfríe completamente
antes de limpiar.

NOTA: Estos tiempos son aproximados. Es recomendable que usted supervise el
proceso de cocción al vapor y ajuste los tiempos de acuerdo a su preferencia. De
vez en cuando, revuelva los vegetales durante el proceso de cocción. Al cocinar el
arroz, el tiempo para cocer al vapor puede variar.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL MANTENIMIENTO
Limpie la Arrocera después de cada uso.
1. Desconecte la Arrocera del tomacorriente cuando no la esté utilizando y antes de
limpiarla. ¡Nunca sumerja el Cuerpo Calefactor en agua o en ningún otro líquido!
Permita que la Arrocera se enfríe antes de limpiarla.
2. No use limpiadores abrasivos, esponjas de metal o lana para limpiar la Arrocera.

3. Cuerpo Calefactor: limpie ligeramente el exterior con un paño o esponja húmedos.
¡No sumerja el Cuerpo Calefactor en agua o en ningún otro líquido! Seque bien con
un paño suave.
4. Olla: llene con agua caliente y permita que esté así un tiempo, después lave con agua
caliente jabonosa y una esponja; seque bien con un paño. También puede lavarse
en lavaplatos. Para CKSTRC6129, CKSTRC6129R, CKSTRC6130 y CKSTRC6130R
(modelos de bioceramic), se recomienda lavar a mano aunque la olla es apta para
lavaplatos.
5. La Tapa, la Taza Medidora y la Cuchara: lave en agua tibia jabonosa.Enjuague bien
y seque. PRECAUCIÓN: maneje la tapa con extremo cuidado, puede resbalarse
cuando está mojada. También puede lavarse en lavaplatos.
6. Plato Calefactor: granos de arroz y otros objetos extraños pueden pegarse al plato
calefactor. Estos deben ser removidos para prevenir un funcionamiento inadecuado al
cocinar. Para remover arroz cocido, un papel con lija suave puede usarse. Suavice y
elimine los residuos para que la Olla y el plato calefactor estén en contacto al cocinar.
7. No hay partes que usted pueda reparar dentro de la Arrocera. No intente reparar este
electrodoméstico ya que puede ser peligroso.
RECETAS
ARROZ A LA ESPAÑOLA
250 gramos de embutido (chorizo) 1 cebolla mediana
1 cucharada de pimiento amarillo, triturado 1 cucharadita de paprika
2 tazas de tomates, en cubos, sin piel ni 1 taza de guisantes
semillas 1 pimiento rojo, en cubos
2 tallos de apio 1 pimiento verde, en cubos
2 tazas de arroz de grano largo 3 tazas de caldo de pollo
Sal y pimienta
Preparación
Corte la cebolla con el accesorio picador Oster®. Active la función para sofreír “ ” de su
olla arrocera multiuso Oster®y añada el chorizo cortado en rodajas, la cebolla, el
pimiento amarillo, la paprika y los tomates. Mezcle los ingredientes y sofríalos.
Desactive la función para sofreír “ ”. Añada los vegetales restantes, el arroz y el caldo.
Rectique la sazón, cubra y cocine hasta que esté listo. Adorne con perejil rizado. Sirva
caliente.

FETTUCCINI EN SALSA DE MANZANAS,
CAMARONES Y CURRY
½ kg de fettuccini 1 taza de caldo de pollo
4 cucharadas de mantequilla 2 tazas de manzanas peladas y
3 cucharadas de harina en cuadritos
1 cucharadita de curry ½ kg de camarones
½ taza de crema de leche Queso parmesano a gusto
Jugo de un limón (para las manzanas)
Preparación
En la Arrocera Multi-Usos Oster®, derretir la mantequilla, agregar la harina y el curry.
Cocer por 2 minutos. Agregar la crema de leche, el caldo de pollo, las manzanas y los
camarones. Mover hasta que espese. Pase a la función de mantener caliente. En la
Arrocera Multi-Usos Oster®, verter agua y sal sucientes para cocinar los fettuccini al
dente. Servir el fettuccini con salsa y espolvorear con abundante queso parmesano.
ARROZ CON MARISCOS
1 paquete (16 onzas o 400 gramos) 12 almejas pequeñas
de arroz con azafrán ¼ libra (240 gramos) de
¼ libra (250 gramos) de ostiones camarones limpios, con o sin cola
1 taza de chícharos dulces ¼ pimiento rojo cortado en cuadros
Preparación
Lave las almejas tallando minuciosamente y enjuague muy bien. Prepare el arroz en la
Arrocera Multi-Usos Oster®, siguiendo las instrucciones del empaque. Añada las almejas,
los camarones, ostiones, chícharos y pimiento cinco minutos antes que el arroz se haya
cocido. Mezcle bien con movimientos envolventes y sirva con trocitos de pan francés y
una ensalada fresca. Opción: Puede sustituirse el arroz con azafrán por una mezcla de
arroz integral. SOPA MINESTRON MILANESA
½ kg de pechuga de pollo
2 dientes de ajo, picados
1 cucharada de albahaca
1 taza de apio
½ taza de judías verdes
½ cucharadita de tomillo
½ cucharadita de orégano
½ taza de cebollas, rebanadas
½ taza de pimiento verde, picado
½ taza de hongos, rebanados
½ taza de zapallo en cubos,
sin piel ni semillas
2 tazas de tomates, en cubos
3 papas medianas, peladas y cortadas
en cubos
2 cucharadas de salsa inglesa
½ kg de deos nos
1 taza de queso Parmesano
3 cucharadas de margarina
2 cuartos de galón (1,9 L) de agua
Sal
Preparación
En la olla arrocera multiuso Oster®, vierta agua y hierva el pollo con la sal. Cuando el
pollo esté cocido, retire y corte en cubos. Reserve el caldo. Active la función para sofreír
“ ” de su olla arrocera multiuso Oster®, derrita la mantequilla, añada el ajo, la cebolla,
el apio, el pimiento verde, los hongos, las judías verdes y el zapallo. Sofría hasta que se
ablanden. Añada los tomates, luego las papas y sofría.
Desactive la función para sofreír “ ”. Añada esta mezcla al caldo de pollo; agregue

la salsa inglesa, el ramillete de hierbas (albahaca, tomillo, orégano), la sal, el pollo y
los deos. Cocine durante 10 minutos hasta que las papas estén cocidas, pero rmes.
Añada el queso Parmesano mientras revuelve. Cocine 2 minutos más. Sirva y
espolvoree más queso.
ARROZ CON POLLO
1 kg arroz 1 cebolla
3 aji dulce 2 zanahorias
4 dientes de ajo apio al gusto
4 pechugas de pollo 3 cucharadas de sal
pimienta al gusto orégano al gusto
caldo de pollo, 1 sobre pasta de tomate
Preparación
Se cocina el pollo en agua, sal, pimienta, orégano, caldo de pollo en su Arrocera
Multi-Usos Oster®. Al estar listo se deshilacha el pollo en el agua que se cocinó, se
hierven el ají, la cebolla, ajo, apio, zanahoria todo bien picadito, 10 minutos de
cocimiento, se le agrega pasta de tomate y el pollo deshilachado. Luego de tener la salsa
se le agrega al arroz crudo y limpio tapando el arroz un poco más de lo normal.
ENSALADA DE ARROZ CON ATÚN
2 tazas de arroz cocido 2 pimientos en vinagre*
1 lata de atún 100 gr de aceitunas verdes
3 huevos duros Mayonesa
Sal y pimienta Hojas de lechuga
Aceite de oliva Vinagre
Preparación
Cocinar el arroz en la Arrocera Multi-Usos Oster®en la forma tradicional, retirarlo y colo-
carlo en una fuente hasta que se enfríe totalmente. Cortar los pimientos cocidos en troci-
tos y los huevos duros en rodajas. Desmenuzar el atún e incorporarlo junto con el resto
de los ingredientes al arroz, dejando algunas rodajas de huevo y aceitunas para decorar.
Condimentar con aceite de oliva, sal, pimienta y vinagre. Vaciar la ensalada sobre una
fuente decorada con hojas de lechuga y adornar con huevos duros y aceitunas.
* Pimientos en vinagre: lavar y cortar los pimientos por la mitad a lo largo. Quitarle las
semillas y ponerlos a cocinar en una cacerola con dos tazas de agua y media taza de
vinagre de vino con un poco de sal. Después de 15 minutos, retirar del fuego.

ARROZ CON LECHE
1 taza de arroz 3 tazas de agua
1 palito de canela 2 clavos de olor
1 ¾ taza de leche evaporada 1 ¼ lata de leche
1 cucharadita de ralladura de condensada
limón y naranja ½ taza de pasas negras
1 cucharadita de vainilla ¼ taza de pisco
1 yema de huevo Canela en polvo
Preparación
En la Arrocera Multi-Usos Oster®, poner a hervir el arroz, previamente lavado, con las 3
tazas de agua, el palito de canela y los clavos de olor. Una vez cocido el arroz, agregar
los dos tipos de leche, la ralladura y las pasas. Seguir moviendo hasta que tome cuerpo.
Incorporar la vainilla, el pisco y la yema de huevo bien batida. Espolvorear con canela y
servir. ARROZ CHINO
4 tazas de arroz cocinado ½ taza de judías
½ taza de raíces chinas 1 cebolla tajada
1 cebollín (cebollino, cebollina, 1 pimiento (ají) rojo, cortado en juliana
cebolla larga, chives), picado 1 cda de jengibre rallado
3 cdas de salsa de soya 2 cdas de aceite de ajonjolí (sésamo)
Preparación
Encienda la función de sofrito “ ” de su Arrocera Multi-Usos Oster®. Agregue la cebolla
cabezona y el pimiento. Sofría. Luego, agregue el jengibre, las judías y las raíces chinas.
Agregue el arroz cocinado y revuelva hasta que el arroz esté caliente. Agrega la salsa de
soya y nalmente el cebollín picado. Apague la función de sofrito “ ”. Sirve caliente.

1. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
2. To protect against fire, electric shock or injuries, DO NOT immerse cord, plug
or appliance in water or other liquids.
3. Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool
completely before putting on or taking off accessories and before cleaning.
4. Always attach power cord into appliance first, and then plug it into electrical
outlet. To disconnect, remove plug from electric outlet.
5. DO NOT position this appliance directly under an electrical socket.
6. DO NOT operate appliance if power cord or plug are damaged or if it
malfunctions, is dropped or has been damaged in any manner. Return it to
nearest Authorized Oster Service Center for examination, repair, electric or
mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or personal injuries.
8. DO NOT use outdoors.
9. DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or a heated oven, or
flammable material.
11. A short power cord has been provided in order to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord.
12. DO NOT use appliance for other than its intended use.
13. When moving product, DO NOT hold it by lid handle or the handles of the
steam tray accessory; please ensure to use the unit handles.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving the unit containing hot liquids.
15. DO NOT use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners when
cleaning this appliance.
16. Avoid sudden temperature changes such as adding refrigerated foods into a

on inner pot in order to keep finish from scratches. Inner pot cannot be heated

inner pot.
22. DO NOT operate appliance without lid in place on unit when cooking rice or
other ingredients. Steam is generated during use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Clean the Glass Lid, Inner Pot, Paddle and Measuring Cup according to the user
maintenance instructions.
USING YOUR MULTI-USE RICE COOKER
Your Multi-Use Rice Cooker includes a convenient and useful Sauté Function, which
allows you to sauté/brown onions, garlic and/or other ingredients in oil prior to cooking.
You can choose to cook rice or other meals directly without the need to sauté, but this
added feature gives you greater versatility in the preparation of your favorite recipes.
SAUTÉ FUNCTION
This function was designed to give you control when sautéing/browning and needs to be
controlled manually as follows:
1.Remove lid and place food inside unit.
2.Connect power cord to an electrical outlet and press the Sauté On/Off Button “ ”
once to active function.
3.The Multi-Use Rice Cooker will heat up the Inner Pot and sauté the food inside.
4.This function requires close supervision and needs to be controlled manually. When
browning is done, turn off this function by pressing the Sauté On/Off Button “ ” once.
IMPORTANT: Before cooking rice, you must manually turn off the Sauté function.
NOTE: Do not use a metal spoon to stir the food inside the inner pot since that might
damage the non-stick coating, which could affect the unit performance in the long term.
AUTOMATIC COOK FUNCTION
If you would like to sauté/brown prior to cooking rice or other ingredients, please refer
to the Sauté Function section. Once you are done browning your ingredients, follow the
instructions below.
You may also use the Automatic Cook Function without browning any ingredients by
simply following these instructions.
1.Make sure appliance is unplugged.
2.Measure raw rice for desired amount with the Measuring Cup (180 ml) provided.
3. One cup of the uncooked rice will make about two cups of cooked rice. Maximum of 7
cups (1.2 L) uncooked rice for model 6028. Maximum of 10 cups (1.8 L) uncooked rice for
models 6029, 6029K, 6029M, 6029T, CKSTRC6129 , CKSTRC6129R and CKSTRC6032.
Maximum of 12 cups (2.2 L) uncooked rice for models 6030 , CKSTRC6130 and CKSTRC6130R.
Maximum of 15 cups (2.6 L) uncooked rice for model CKSTRC6033 .Add rice to Inner Pot.

4. By using the Measuring Cup, add proper amount of water to the rice inside the Inner
Pot (for every cup [180 ml] of raw rice, add 1-1/2 cups of water).
NOTE: You may need to adjust the quantity of water depending on the kind of rice
you are cooking and how moist you prefer it. For sticker rice, add slightly more water.
For ufer rice, use slightly less water. If you are cooking brown rice, add more water.
You may also need to adjust the water quantity by adding more water if you are using
the rice cooker at a high altitude.
5. Set the Inner Pot into the Rice Cooker. Make sure that the Inner Pot sits directly in
contact with the heating plate by turning it slightly from right to left until it is seated
properly. Cover with Lid. WHEN USING THE AUTOMATIC COOK MODE DO NOT
OPERATE UNIT UNCOVERED. STEAM IS GENERATED DURING USE.
6. Plug the Power Cord into an electrical outlet. Activate the Rice Cooker on by pushing
down the On-Switch Cook Button down. Make sure the Cook Light (amber) is on.
IMPORTANT: If you use the sauté/brown function, you must manually turn off the
sauté/brown function before cooking rice.
7. After 15 minutes mix the rice. Lift and remove the Lid carefully to avoid scalding
and allow water to drip into the Inner Pot. Use the Paddle or another long handheld
utensil to scoop and mix the rice. After mixing, cover the Inner Pot with the Lid.
8. When your rice is cooked, the Rice Cooker will automatically switch to the warm
function and the Keep Warm Light (green) will turn on. The Rice Cooker will keep the
rice warm until the unit is disconnected from the wall outlet.
9. The Rice Cooker will automatically keep rice warm at 60°C – 80°C (140°F – 175°F).
10. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning. Disconnect the plug from the
wall outlet when not in use.
NOTES: Wash the rice in a separate bowl, prior to cooking, if desired. For softer rice, we
suggest preparing rice and water in the Inner Pot and letting soak for 10 – 20 minutes
before cooking.
INSTRUCTIONS TO REHEAT RICE
To reheat cold rice, add 1/4 cup (4 Tbsp.) of cold water per cup of cooked rice, stir to mix,
and then press On-Switch Cook Button to start cooking. When rice is warm, the Rice
Cooker will automatically switch to the keep warm function.
USING THE STEAMING TRAY
(MODEL CKSTRC6033 ONLY)
Steam cooking vegetables retains more nutrients than boiling or baking, while preserving
the bright, natural color.
1. Prepare vegetables by washing, peeling and then cutting into smaller
sized pieces.
2. Make sure the unit is unplugged.
3. Fill the Inner Pot with the appropriate amount of water. (See Chart)
4. Set the Inner Pot into the heating body. Make sure that the Inner Pot sits directly
in contact with the heating plate.

5. Place vegetables in the Steaming Tray and position the Tray on top of the Inner
Pot. Cover with Lid. DO NOT OPERATE THIS UNIT UNCOVERED. STEAM IS
GENERATED DURING USE.
6. Plug the Power Cord into a wall outlet. Activate the Rice Cooker by pushing down
the On-Switch Button. Make sure the red Cook Light is on.
7. Time the cooking manually according to the chart on next page. The unit will
automatically switch to the keep warm cycle once all the water evaporates. If all
the water evaporates and you wish to extend the cooking cycle, add more water.
8. Once the vegetables have been steamed according to your personal preference,
remove the Steamer Tray from the Rice Cooker.
9. Disconnect from the wall outlet and allow the unit to cool completely
before cleaning.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance should be cleaned after every use.
1. Unplug the Rice Cooker from the wall outlet when not in use or before cleaning. Never
immerse the Heating Body in water or any other liquid! Allow the Rice Cooker to cool
completely before cleaning.
2. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads or steel wool to clean the Rice Cooker.
3. Heating Body: lightly wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or sponge.DO NOT
IMMERSE HEATING BODY INTO WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. Dry thoroughly
with a soft cloth.

4. Inner Pot: ll with hot water and let sit for a while and then wash with hot, soapy water
using a sponge and dry thoroughly with a cloth or use dishwasher. For CKSTRC6129,
CKSTRC6129R, CKSTRC6130 and CKSTRC6130R (bioceramic models), we
recommend hand washing although inner pot is dishwasher safe.
5. Lid, Measuring Cup and Paddle: wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and
dry. CAUTION: handle the Lid with extreme care, as it may become slippery when wet
or use dishwasher.
6. Heating plate: grains of rice or other foreign matter may stick to the heating plate.
These must be removed to prevent inadequate cooking. To remove cooked rice,
smooth sandpaper can be used. Smooth out and polish the spot for good contact
between the heating plate and the bottom of the Inner Pot.
7. There are no user serviceable parts inside this appliance. Do not attempt to repair this
appliance yourself as you could render it dangerous to use.
RECIPES
SPANISH RICE
250 grams of sausage (chorizo) 1 medium onion
1 tablespoon yellow pepper, ground 1-teaspoon paprika
2 cups tomatoes, diced, without skin or seeds 1 cup green peas
1 red pepper, diced 2 celery stalks, sliced
1 green pepper, diced 2 cups long-grain rice
3 cups chicken broth Salt and pepper
Preparation
Chop the onion with the Oster®chopper accessory. Turn on “ ” the sauté function of
your Oster®Multi-Use Rice Cooker and add the sausage cut in slices, the onion, the
yellow pepper, paprika and tomatoes. Mix together and sauté the ingredients. Turn off
“ ” the sauté function. Add the remaining vegetables, the rice and the broth. Check
seasoning, cover and cook until done. Garnish with curly parsley. Serve hot.
FETTUCCINI WITH APPLE, SHRIMP
AND CURRY SAUCE
½ kg fettuccini 4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons our 1-teaspoon curry
½ cup cream 1 cup chicken broth
2 cups apples, peeled and diced ½ kg shrimp
Parmesan cheese to taste Juice of one lemon (for the
apples)
Preparation
In the Oster® Multi-Use Rice Cooker, melt butter, add our and curry. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add cream, chicken broth, apples and shrimp. Stir until thickened. Remove from heat and
keep hot. In the Oster® Multi-Use Rice Cooker, pour sufcient water and salt to cook
fettuccini al dente. Serve the fettuccini with the sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

RICE WITH SHELLFISH
1 package (16 ounces or 400 grams) saffron rice 12 small clams
¼ lb (240 grams) shrimp, shelled and deveined, ¼ lb (250 grams) oysters
with or without tails 1 cup sweet peas
¼ red pepper, diced
Preparation
Wash clams, shucking thoroughly, and rinse well. Cook rice in the Oster®Multi-Use Rice
Cooker, following the instructions on the package. Add clams, shrimp, oysters, sweet
peas and red pepper ve minutes before the rice is fully cooked. Mix well, without stirring.
Serve with French bread croutons and a fresh salad. Option: The saffron rice may be
substituted with brown rice.
MILANESE MINESTRONE
½ kg chicken breast 2 cloves garlic, chopped
1-tablespoon basil ½ cup celery
½ cup fresh beans ½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon oregano ½ cup onions, sliced
½ cup green pepper, chopped ½ cup mushrooms, and sliced
½ cup squash, diced 2 cups tomatoes, diced,
3 medium potatoes, peeled ½ kg ne noodles
and diced without skin or seeds 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 cup Parmesan cheese 3 tablespoons margarine
2 quarts water Salt
Preparation
In the Oster®Multi-Use Rice Cooker, pour water and boil chicken with the salt. When
chicken is cooked, remove and dice. Reserve the broth. Turn on “ ” the sauté function
of your Oster®Multi-Use Rice Cooker, melt butter, add garlic, onion, celery, green pepper,
mushrooms, beans and squash. Sauté until soft. Add the tomatoes, then the potatoes
and sauté. Turn off “ ” the sauté function. Add this mixture to the chicken broth; add
Worcestershire sauce, the herbs bouquet (basil, thyme, oregano), salt, chicken and
noodles. Cook 10 minutes until the potatoes are cooked, but rm. Add Parmesan cheese
while stirring. Cook 2 minutes longer. Serve and sprinkle with more cheese.
RICE WITH CHICKEN
2 lb rice 1 onion
3 green peppers 2 carrots
4 cloves garlic celery to taste
4 chicken breasts 3 tablespoons salt
black pepper to taste oregano to taste
chicken broth, 1 envelope tomato paste
Preparation
Cook the chicken in water, salt, black pepper, oregano, chicken broth in the Oster®Multi-
Use Rice Cooker. When done, shred the chicken in the water in which it was cooked and
add green peppers, onion, garlic, celery and carrots, everything well chopped. Cook 10
minutes, and add tomato paste and shredded chicken. After the sauce is cooked, add the
uncooked, washed rice and cover the rice somewhat more than normal.

RICE AND TUNA SALAD
2 cups cooked rice 2 peppers in vinegar*
1 can tuna 100 gr green olives
3 hard-boiled eggs Mayonnaise
Salt and pepper Lettuce leaves
Olive oil Vinegar
Preparation
Cook the rice in the Oster®Multi-Use Rice Cooker in the traditional manner, remove and
place on a platter until it is completely cool. Dice the cooked peppers and slice the eggs.
Shred the tuna and add along with the remaining ingredients to the rice, reserving some
of the egg slices and olives to garnish the salad. Season with olive oil, salt, pepper and
vinegar. Serve the salad on a platter with lettuce leaves and garnish with hard-boiled egg
and olives.
• Peppers in vinegar: wash and cut the peppers in two lengthwise. Remove the seeds
and cook the peppers in a saucepan with two cups water and one-half cup vinegar with
a pinch of salt. After 15 minutes, remove from heat.
RICE PUDDING
1 cup rice 3 cups water
1 cinnamon stick 2 whole cloves
1¾ cup evaporated milk 1¼-cup condensed milk
1 teaspoon grated lemon and orange peel ½ cup dark raisins
1-teaspoon vanilla ¼ cup grape brandy
1 egg yolk Powdered cinnamon
Preparation
In the Oster®Multi-Use Rice Cooker, cook the pre-washed rice with 3 cups of water, cin-
namon stick and cloves. Once the rice is cooked, add evaporated and condensed milk,
grated lemon and orange peel, and raisins. Continue stirring until set. Add vanilla, grape
brandy and the egg yolk well beaten. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
CHINESE RICE
4 cups of cooked rice ½ cup of snow peas
½ cup of bean sprouts 1 sliced onion
1 scallion (green onion), minced 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons of soy sauce 1 tablespoon of shredded ginger
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
Preparation
Turn on “ ” the sauté function of your Oster®Multi-Use Rice Cooker. Sauté the onion
and red pepper. Add the ginger, the snow peas and the bean sprouts. Then add the
cooked rice and stir it until it is hot. Add the soy sauce and then the minced scallion. Turn
off “ ” the sauté function. Serve hot.
