and specialised stafftoproperlyinstall,commission and config-
ure the controland regulation unit(DDC).For the configuration
and operation,the operating manualistobe downloaded and
possiblyprinted fromtheDCC asPDFdocumentusing anInter-
netbrowser,e.g.“MozillaFirefox”(“HELP/INFO -Documenta-
tion”).
Additionallyapplicabledocumentation -instructionsfor all sys-
temcomponentsaswell asapplicabletechnicalrules-are tobe
compliedwith.

prohibited and isconsidered ascontrarytointended use.Any
claimsagainst the manufacturer and/or hisauthorised represen-
tativesfor damagesasaresultofnon-intended usecannotbe
recognised.The intended usealsoincludesproper compliance
withthe shortoperating instructions, the operating manualas
well as the installation instructionsof allaccessories.
The contentoftheseshortoperating instructionsissolelyin-
tended for the transmission ofinformation.The customer is
personallyresponsiblefor databackup.

designing the controland regulationunit andits accessories.

3Transport, storage and packaging
3.1Transportinspection
Check consignmentfor completeness and anytransportdam-
age immediatelyafter receipt andbefore installation.
If suchor other defectsare found,onlyacceptthe consignment
withreservation.Fileacomplaint. Observecomplaintdeadlines
indoing so.
3.2Storage
Onlystore the controland regulation unitunder the following
conditions:
•Store indoorsindryand dust-free conditions.
•Do not exposetoaggressivemediaor heatsources.
•Protectfromsolar radiation and excessivemechanical
vibrations.
•Storage temperature: -20°C…+70°C
•Relativehumidity(r.h.):10 ...95%,non-condensing

5Assemblyand installation
5.1First steps
Before the actualinstallation itisrecommended toconfigure the
controland regulation unitfor thepresentnetwork. Here,the
controlis connected toaPCor Notebookviaaswitchor directly
withapatchcable,and then supplied withvoltage viaa24VAC
transformer.
Theterminalstrips9and 10,connectionsL1and L2GND
areusedforthispurpose.
At delivery,the controland regulation unithasthe following
settings:
•IP address: http://192.168.135.1
(factorysetting)
•Subnetmask:255.255.255.0
•Gateway:0.0.0.0
The networkcard ofthe PCor Notebookmustnowbe config-
ured sothatitisinthe samenetworkarea ofthe presetIPad-
dress.Ifindoubt, pleasecontactyour systemadministrator.
Byentering the IPaddress“http://192.168.135.1” intoaweb
browser (e.g. MozillaFirefox), the controland regulation unit can
be accessed.The loginwindowisdisplayed.Before clicking on
<Anmelden / Login/ Connexion >, the user nameand password
must be entered.Atdeliverythis is:
•Username:admin
•Password:admin
The currentbuilding statusisdisplayed inthe “OVERVIEW”
menu.The detailed operating manualcan be downloaded toa
computerinPDFformatwiththe“HELP/INFO”menu option and
fromthe “Documentation”submenu.Pleaseread the manual
before you continue withtheinstallation!
Programming isperformed inawebbrowser,e.g.
“MozillaFirefox”, no other programisrequired.
5.2Assemblyinstructions
Alwaysinstallthe housing verticallywiththe cableinlets down-
wardsand distortion-free on all four fastening pointsprovided,
preventing moisture frompenetrating and the cover closing
tightly.

Before you continue withinstallation ofthe unitand itsaccesso-
ries, you must refer tothe respectiveoperating manualand the
instructions ofthe components used.
Anywork on the unitmust onlybe performedinade-energised
state!
Before commissioningthe system,the cabling andwiring isto
be checked for correctness and tobe documented!
The unit mustonlybe connected tothe power supplybyaquali-
fied electrician!
The unit mustonlybe installed indryroomsthat are notsubject

5.3RemovingandinsertingtheSDcard andbattery
OnlyuseoriginalSDcardsofOVENTROPGmbH &Co.KG.
When using other SDcards,continuousand proper functioning
of theunitcannotbe guaranteed.
Normally, theSDcard does not need tobe removed.
Beforeperforming anywork,theunitmust alwaysbedis-
connectedfrom thepowersupply.
The SDcard mustonlybe removed inemergencies. Inorder to
removeit,the DDC mustbedismounted fromthe tophatrail.
For thispurpose,the unitispushed upwardsand first ofall
released atthe top.
The SDcard must then be pushedintothe unitslightlytoopen
the interlock(samemechanismasforballpointpen).The SD
card nowprotrudes asmallbit andcan bepulled out.
Thisprocedure istobe followed inreversetore-insertthe SD
card.
The bufferbattery(CR 1632) can be replaced viathe inserttray
if required.

formed byaqualified electrician.Clean the product withasoft,
clean,dryand lint-free cloth.Toremovesevere contamination,
the clothcan be lightlydampened withlukewarmwater.Do not
useanycleaning agentscontaining solventsor abrasivesub-
stances.The plastichousing andthe labelling couldbe dam-
aged byit.
