Installation
1. Ensure your product comes with the items indicated in A; if not please contact your dealer.
2.i. If necessary, set the output format:
i. Remove and retain the self-tapping screws holding the board to the faceplate — see C.
ii. Remove the board from the faceplate — see D.
iii. Set the DIL switches as required — see E.
iv. Use the self-tapping screws to reattach the board to the faceplate.
3. Connect the cable assembly to the reader — see F.
4. Connect the cable assembly to the controller cable — see G.
5. Use the supplied M3.5 screws to attach the reader to the back box.
6. Apply power when all readers are installed.
Notes
The reader is designed to fit within a standard 1-gang electrical back box, recommended depth 25mm or
greater. Holes on the reader accept M3.5 screws.
Mount readers >1m [3′] apart, e.g. on either side of the door. Mounting on metal surfaces will reduce the
reading range.
Not recommended for outside use.
The supplied MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor, Anglia Components P/N B72207S250K101) should be fitted
across the power terminals of the lock to suppress back EMF. Any suppression diodes fitted in the lock /
lock circuit must be removed.
Tip
Output format and reader configuration can be changed without disconnecting the power supply.
The reader automatically restarts with the new configuration.
