First-time setup
Plug the power cord into the bottom of the base. If desired, wrap any excess cord using
the hooks on the bottom of the base.
Firmly press the spout into the base until metal is no longer visible.
Note: it may take more force than you’d think- things have to be snug to prevent leaks.

Remove the lter dust cover. Insert the lter by simultaneously pushing down and
rotating clockwise. With the logo facing forward, place the lter sleeve over the lter until
it snaps into place.
Plug the power cord into an outlet. When the blue light ashes, your machine is on.

Fill the water tank with tap water up to the max ll line.
We recommend moving your Reservoir to the edge of your sink so that you can easily
ush your brand new lter.* This way you can quickly ll the water tank and dispense the
excess water directly into the sink.

* DO I REALLY NEED TO FLUSH THE FILTER?
Trust us, we don’t want you to discard good water either, but this step is absolutely
worth doing when breaking in a new lter. Our lters are packed with activated
carbon, a ne black powder that can become dislodged during initial use leaving
behind black specs. Flushing your lter removes any loose carbon so you can enjoy
water that looks as good as it tastes.
After 1 cycle

Tap the button 4 times to automatically dispense 36 ounces of water (alternatively you
can hold the button down, but who has time for that?). Flush water through the system
until the tank is completely empty.
Repeat step 5 & 6 ve more times to remove any remaining loose
carbon, cloudiness, or discoloration.

Our intelligent lter replacement notication will alert you when to
replace your lter based on usage, not time elapsed. It’s time to stop
guessing when to replace your lter!
A blue light indicates that your lter does not need to be replaced.
An orange light indicates that you have only 10% of the max rated
capacity of the lter remaining.
A red light will go on when it is time to replace your lter.

Remove the water tank from the base. Press button 8 consecutive times. The
machine will enter “Filter Replace Mode” and the LED will blink white.

system depressurizes. This prevents
water from splashing out during lter

White pulsing LED indicates the Reservoir is in lter change mode. [Note: if
you accidentally entered this mode, press the button 10 times to exit]

Place a large glass under the spout & press the button 2 times to depressurize the
lter, some water will come out of the spout. Remove the lter by twisting counter-
clockwise. Be mindful, there may be a little water leftover when removing.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
How often do lters need to be replaced?
Reservoir lters have a maximum rated capacity of 390 gallons*. Depending on your usage
and water quality, this could last 3-12 months. Your Reservoir’s automatic lter replacement
notication light will change to orange when there is less than 10% of the rated maximum
capacity remaining and it is time to order a replacement lter. It will change to red when
capacity is reached.
How do I reset my button LED back to blue?
If your button LED is orange or red, it is time to replace your lter to ensure maximum
contaminant removal. By following the lter replacement instructions, the LED will be reset to
blue. Head to PentairRocean.com/HowTo for detailed instructions.
The water coming out of my Reservoir is cloudy.
For a newly installed lter, having some discoloration in the water is normal. Please ensure you
have ushed the lter with 6 whole tanks of water to dislodge any loose carbon particles from
the carbon block. If you’ve already done this and your water is still cloudy, it may simply be small
air bubbles caused by agitation as the water ows through the lter. These microscopic air
bubbles will settle out in a couple of minutes.
It seems like my auto-dispense amounts are not accurate.
The auto-dispense amounts are approximate volumes to easily ll your favorite cups. As your
lter nears the end of its life, you may notice a reduced ow rate, which will impact the dispense
volumes.
Where can I buy replacement lters?

accessories.
I try to dispense, but it stops and the button starts blinking rapidly.
Check to ensure there is enough water in the water tank and there is a lter properly installed.
If the problem persists, there may be a blockage in the appliance, and you should contact
customer service for additional support.
My button is pulsing white, what does that mean?
Your Reservoir is in lter replacement mode. If you’ve done this by accident, press the button 10
times to exit this mode.
My button color has turned orange.
This indicates you have 10% (estimated 2-3 weeks) of lter life left. Time to order a replacement
lter and follow the lter replacement instructions to change out your old lter.
Water is coming out of the bottom of the spout.
Make sure the spout is fully inserted into the base by pushing down and twisting until there
is no silver showing. Note: it may take more force than you’d think- things have to be snug to
prevent leaks.

The spout on my Reservoir is sputtering out water - the ow seems restricted.
Something must have gotten into your spout from the outside. No matter - just remove your
spout from the device and clear out with a common straw or pipe cleaner.
When I try to dispense, my Reservoir starts & stops.
Your lter may be clogged. Depending on your water quality, you may need to change your lter
more frequently than rated maximum capacity of 390 gallons*.
Is the Reservoir BPA free?
The water tank and water contacting components are made with BPA free materials.
Is the water tank dishwasher safe?
Yes, the water tank can be washed with soap & water or in your dishwasher.
What contaminants does the Reservoir remove?

Do I need to be concerned about sitting water in the tank?
Nope! The tank is made from food-safe, water-safe material. Additionally, the water will run
through the pre-lter and lter before being dispensed into your glass.
Do I need to descale the Reservoir?
Yes, we recommend descaling the Reservoir every 6-12 months, depending on the hardness of
your tap water. For specic instructions on how we recommend descaling the Reservoir, visit us
at PentairRocean.com/HowTo.
How should I clean my Reservoir?
To clean the appliance or the individual parts, we recommend using a dry cloth. Do not use any
strong or abrasive cleaning agent or solvent cleaner. Do not put the appliance in the dishwasher
- only the water tank is dishwasher-safe. Never immerse the appliance, or part of it, in water.
What do I need to do if I want to stow my Reservoir for storage?
Start by following the same instructions for removing a lter, which can be found at
PentairRocean.com/HowTo, place the water tank under the spout and dispense until water
has drained from the appliance. Remove the lter sleeve & twist the lter counter-clockwise to
remove the lter. Dry o any residual water and unplug the machine. Your Reservoir is ready for
storage.
A piece of my Reservoir broke, how can I order a new one?
Please reach out to customer service to inquire about replacement parts.
