The AutoFlex Feed Loop Kit (model AFX-FEED-LOOP) contains two modules specifically designed for
controlling feed loop systems.
The Loop Drive module controls the motors. There is one relay for the chain/drive motor and one for
the auger/fill motor. Both relays include sensors for current monitoring.
The Loop Sense module monitors the sensors. There are connections for feed proximity, chain safety,
and two additional safety sensors.
Installation
Follow the instructions below and in the diagram on the following page.
Refer to the AutoFlex installation guide for complete instructions.
Before installing the kit or servicing the control, switch OFF the incoming power at the
source.
The ratings of the equipment you
connect must not exceed the ratings of
the Loop Drive Module.
Control relays
1 HP at 120 VAC, 2 HP at 230 VAC
Pilot relays
230 VAC coil 70 VA inrush, pilot duty
1. Switch off the power to the control.
2. Open the cover.
3. Remove the modules from the packaging.
4. Connect the Loop Drive and Loop Sense modules to the mounting board in any of the empty
MODULE locations. Insert each module’s pins into the connector on the mounting board. Make sure
the pins are aligned properly and then press down.
5. Fasten each module to the mounting posts using four screws.
6. Connect the equipment to the terminal blocks as shown in the diagram on the following page.
7. Verify all equipment and wiring is installed and connected properly.
8. Switch on the power to the control and verify the equipment operates properly. If it does not, check the
wiring and cable connections. If it still will not operate properly, contact your dealer.
9. Close and then tighten the cover.
