The Philips Wake-up Light helps you wake up more pleasantly.The light
intensity of the lamp gradually increases to the set level in the 30 minutes
before the set wake-up time.The light gently prepares your body for waking
up at the set time.To make waking up an even more pleasant experience,
you can use natural wake-up sounds or the FM radio (HF3505 only).
The effects of theWake-up Light
The Philips Wake-up Light gently prepares your body for waking up
during the last half hour of sleep. In the early morning hours our eyes are
more sensitive to light than when we are awake. During that period the
relatively low light levels of a simulated natural sunrise prepare our body
for waking up and getting alert. People who use the Wake-up Light wake
up more easily, have a better overall mood in the morning and feel more
energetic. Because the sensitivity to light differs per person, you can set
the light intensity of your Wake-up Light to a level that matches your light
sensitivity for an optimal start of the day.

Preparing for use
Setting the clock
1 Put the plug in the wall socket.

2 When plugging in, the clock time will automatically start blinking.
,If the clock time does not start blinking, press the clock button on
the side of the appliance.
,The clock icon appears on the display.
3 Press the + or - button to set the hour and minutes.
Note:You can only do this when you are in the set clock time and when the
time indication flashes. If this is not the case, press the clock button again,
you are now in the set clock time.
4 Press the Clock button to confirm.
You can also wait for 5 seconds before the clock is fixed.
Note: Every time you remove the plug from the wall socket, clock time setting
is lost.
Using the appliance

You can set these functions in the following way:

Using the light
You can use the appliance as a bedside lamp.
1 To switch on the light, press the lamp on/off button.
,The light icon is shown in the display and the current light level
10 appears.
2 Press the + and - buttons to select a light intensity.
You can choose a light intensity between 1 and 10.
Note:The light intensity you have selected is automatically set as the light
intensity level for the alarm as well.
3 To switch off the lamp, press the lamp on/off button again.
Note:The light level can be adjusted when light is on/off.
Setting time format
Switching between 24h and 12h time mode.
1 Press the Clock button for > 2 seconds.
When the 12h mode is active, PM or AM will be shown in display.
Note:To switch to the 24h mode, press the Clock button again for >2 seconds.
Setting the alarm
When you set the alarm, you choose an alarm time and (only in case of
HF3505) the type of sound you want to wake up to. The alarm is activated
when the alarm symbol is visible on the display.The light intensity slowly
increases to the selected level during the last 30 minutes before the set
alarm time.The sound slowly increases to the selected level after the set
alarm time.
HF3505 only:
Light level range is 1-10, volume level range is 1-10. It is not possible to
switch these functions off.
HF3500 only:
Light level range is 1-10 and there is no volume control for the type of the
appliance.The alarm sound volume is fixed.

1 Press the alarm button to switch on the alarm.

2 Press the + or - buttons to select the time.
Note:You can only do this when the time indication flashes. If this is not the
case, press the alarm button again to enter the alarm time mode.
Tip: Press the + or - button >2 seconds to speed up the digit change.
3 Press the Alarm button to confirm or wait for 5 seconds.
Note:The alarm icon is shown in the display to indicate the alarm is ON.
The alarm time is now set.
Switching off the alarm
When the alarm goes off, you can switch off the alarm by pressing on the
alarm button.The alarm will go off again the next day.
When you want to switch off the alarm for the next day, or before the
alarm goes off, press the alarm button again.
Note:The alarm icon disappears from the display.
Note:The lamp stays on to light your room.You can switch off the lamp by
pressing the light on/off button.
Note:The alarm (sound and/or light) automatically switches off after
90 minutes.

Setting the alarm sound (HF3505 only)
You can choose one of the following sounds by switching the function from:
- Sound I
- Sound II
- Radio
Note:When switching to a new alarm sound or radio, a preview of that sound/
radio will be played for 5 seconds.
Snoozing
1 Tap on top of the appliance to snooze 9 minutes.
,The lamp continues to be on at the selected intensity level, but
the alarm sound stops.After 9 minutes, the wake-up sound is
automatically played again.
Note:The 9-minute snooze time is fixed.This time cannot be adjusted.
Radio/volume (HF3505 only)
Tip: Fully unwind the antenna to use the radio function.
1 To switch on the radio, press the radio on/off button.
,The radio icon appears in the display.

2 To select the desired radio frequency, press the « and » buttons.
Tip:To scan radio frequencies automatically, press and hold the « or » button
for approx. 2 seconds.
Tip:To make sure you get a good radio signal, fully unwind the antenna and
move it around until you have found a position at which reception is best.
Note:The current radio frequency is shown in the display for 5 seconds, before
clock time is shown again.
3 To switch off the radio, press the radio on/off button again.
Volume
1 To set the volume, press the volume increase or decrease button.
You can choose a volume level between 1 and 10.
Note:The volume level you have selected is automatically set as the volume
level for the alarm as well.
Setting the display brightness
1 Press the Display brightness button to adjust the display brightness.
The brightness of the display will change from high-medium-low-very low.
Demo mode
If you want a quick demonstration (90 seconds) of the gradually increasing
light intensity and sound level, switch on the test function of the appliance.
1 Press and hold the alarm button for at least 3 seconds.
2 The appliance starts the demonstration of the alarm.
3 To switch off the demonstration, press and hold the previously
pressed alarm button for 3 seconds again.

Cleaning and maintenance
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
Regularly remove dust from the outside of the appliance with a dry cloth.
1 Unplug the appliance before you clean it.
2 Clean the outside of the appliance with a dry cloth.
Do not let water run into the appliance or spill water onto the appliance.
Replacement
This appliance does not contain any serviceable parts.
Environment
- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.

lysintensitet stiger gradvist til det indstillede niveau i løbet af 30 minutter før
det indstillede vækketidspunkt. Lyset forbereder nænsomt din krop på at
vågne på det indstillede tidspunkt. Du kan gøre opvågningen endnu mere
behagelig ved at bruge naturlige vækkelyde eller FM-radio (kun HF3505).
Virkningerne ved Wake-up Light
Philips Wake-up Light forbereder blidt din krop på at vågne i løbet af
den sidste halve times søvn. I de tidlige morgentimer er øjnene mere
følsomme over for skarpt lys, end når vi er vågne. I den periode forbereder
det forholdsvist lave lysniveau fra simuleret solopgang kroppen på at

Klargøring
Indstilling af uret
1 Sæt stikket i stikkontakten.

2 Når stikket sættes i, begynder klokkeslættet automatisk at blinke.
,Hvis klokkeslættet ikke begynder at blinke, skal du trykke på
Clock-knappen på siden af apparatet.
,Klokkeslæt-ikonet vises på displayet.
3 Tryk på menuknapperne + eller - for at indstille timer og minutter.
Bemærk: Du kan kun gøre dette, når du er under indstilling af klokkeslættet,
og tidsangivelsen blinker. Hvis dette ikke er tilfældet, skal du trykke på
Clock-knappen igen, og du vil nu kunne indstille klokkeslættet.
4 Tryk på OK-tasten for at fortsætte.
Du kan også vente i 5 sekunder, før klokkeslættet står fast.

Brug af lyset
Du kan benytte apparatet som sengelampe.
1 Hvis du vil tænde for lyset, skal du trykke på lampens tænd/sluk-knap.
,Lysikonet vises i displayet, og det aktuelle lysniveau 10 vises.
2 Tryk på knapperne + og - for at vælge en lysintensitet.
Du kan vælge en lysintensitet på mellem 1 og 10.
Bemærk: Den valgte lysintensitet indstilles også
automatisk som lysintensitetsniveau for alarmen.
3 Sluk for lampen ved at trykke på lampens tænd/sluk-knap.
Bemærk: Lysniveauet kan tilpasses, når lyset er slået til/fra.
Indstilling af tidsformat
Skift mellem tidsindstillingerne 24 timer og 12 timer.
1 Tryk på Clock-knappen i mindst 2 sekunder.
Når indstillingen 12 timer er aktiv, vises PM eller AM i displayet.
Bemærk: Hvis du vil skifte til indstillingen 24 timer, skal du trykke på Clock-
knappen igen i mindst 2 sekunder.
Indstilling af alarmen
Når du indstiller alarmen, skal du vælge et vækketidspunkt og (kun ved
HF3505) den type lyd, du vil vågne op til. Alarmen er aktiveret, når
alarmsymbolet kan ses på displayet. Lysintensiteten stiger langsomt til
det valgte niveau i løbet af de sidste 30 minutter før det indstillede
vækketidspunkt. Lydstyrken øges langsomt til det valgte niveau efter det
indstillede vækketidspunkt.
Kun HF3505:
Lysniveauet går fra 1 til 10, og lydstyrken går fra 1 til 10. Det er ikke muligt
at slå disse funktioner fra.
Kun HF3500:
Lysniveauet går fra 1 til 10, og der er ingen lydstyrkekontrol for denne type
apparat. Alarmens lydstyrke er fastindstillet.

1 Alarmen slås til ved at trykke på Alarm-knappen.
,Tidsangivelsen for vækketidspunktet blinker.
,Alarmikonet vises i displayet.
2 Tryk på menuknapperne + eller - for at vælge tidspunktet.
Bemærk: Du kan kun foretage denne indstilling, når tidsangivelsen blinker.
Hvis dette ikke er tilfældet, skal du trykke på Alarm-knappen igen for at åbne
indstillingen for vækketidspunkt.
Tip:Tryk på menuknapperne + eller - i mindst 2 sekunder for at fremskynde,
at cifrene skifter.
3 Tryk på Alarm-knappen for at bekræfte indstillingen, eller vent
5 sekunder.
Bemærk:Alarmikonet vises i displayet for at indikere, at alarmen er sat til.
Vækketidspunktet er nu indstillet.
Sådan slukker du alarmen
Når alarmen går i gang, kan du slukke for den ved at trykke på Alarm-
knappen.Alarmen vil gå i gang igen dagen efter.
Hvis du vil slå alarmen for næste dag fra eller slå alarmen fra, før den går i
gang, skal du trykke på Alarm-knappen igen.
Bemærk:Alarmikonet forsvinder fra displayet.
Bemærk: Lampen forbliver tændt for at lyse dit rum op. Du kan slukke lampen
ved at trykke på tænd/sluk-knappen for lys.
Bemærk:Alarmen (lyd og/eller lys) slukkes automatisk efter 90 minutter.

Indstilling af alarmlyden (kun HF3505)
Du kan vælge én af følgende lyde ved at ændre indstillingen fra:
- Lyd I
- Lyd II
- Radio
Bemærk: Når der skiftes til en ny alarmlyd eller radio, afspilles der en prøve af
lyden/radioen i 5 sekunder.
Snooze-funktion
1 Tryk oven på apparatet for at snooze 9 minutter.
,Lampen fortsætter med at lyse ved det valgte intensitetsniveau,
men vækkelyden stopper. Efter 9 minutter afspilles vækkelyden
automatisk igen.
Bemærk: Snooze-tiden på 9 minutter er fast og kan ikke justeres.
Radio/lydstyrke (kun HF3505)
Tip: Rul antennen helt ud for at bruge radiofunktionen.
1 Tænd for radioen ved at trykke på radioens tænd/sluk-knap.
,Radioikonet vises på displayet.

2 For at vælge den ønskede radiofrekvens skal du trykke på
menuknapperne « og ».
Tip: Hvis du vil søge efter radiofrekvenser automatisk, skal du holde
menuknappen « eller » nede i ca. 2 sekunder.
Tip: Hvis du vil være sikker på at få et godt radiosignal, skal du rulle antennen
helt ud og flytte den rundt, indtil du finder den position, hvor modtagelsen er
bedst.
Bemærk: Den aktuelle radiofrekvens vises på displayet i 5 sekunder,
før klokkeslættet vises igen.
3 Sluk for radioen ved at trykke på radioens tænd/sluk-knap igen.
Lydstyrke
1 Indstil lydstyrken ved at trykke på knappen til at øge eller sænke
lydstyrken.
Du kan vælge et lydstyrkeniveau på mellem 1 og 10.
Bemærk: Den valgte lydstyrke indstilles også automatisk som alarmens
lydstyrke.
Indstilling af displaylysstyrken
1 Tryk på knappen for displaylysstyrke for at justere lysstyrken på
displayet.
Displayets lysstyrke vil skifte fra høj-medium-lav-meget lav.
Demo-tilstand
Hvis du vil have en hurtig demonstration (90 sekunder) af den gradvist
stigende lysintensitet og lyd, skal du aktivere apparatets testfunktion.
1 Tryk og hold alarm-knappen nede i mindst 3 sekunder.
2 Apparatet starter en demonstration af alarmen.
3 For at slukke for demonstrationen skal du trykke på og holde
alarm-knappen nede i 3 sekunder igen.

Rengøring og vedligeholdelse
Brug aldrig skuresvampe eller skrappe rengøringsmidler så som benzin,
acetone eller lignende til rengøring af apparatet.
Fjern jævnligt støv fra apparatets ydersider med en tør klud.
1 Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten, inden apparatet rengøres.
2 Rengør apparatets yderside med en tør klud.
Sørg for, at der ikke trænger vand ind i apparatet, og at der ikke spildes
vand på det.
Udskiftning
Dette apparat indeholder ingen dele, der kan repareres af brugeren.
Miljøhensyn
- Apparatet må ikke smides ud sammen med det almindelige
husholdningsaffald, når det til sin tid kasseres.Aflevér det i stedet på

Das Philips Wake-up Light macht das Aufwachen viel angenehmer. In den
letzten 30 Minuten vor der eingestellten Weckzeit steigt die Lichtintensität
der Lampe allmählich auf die gewählte Helligkeit an und bereitet den
Körper ganz natürlich auf das Aufwachen zur eingestellten Zeit vor. Um das
Aufwachen noch angenehmer zu machen, können Sie außerdem natürliche
Weckgeräusche oder das UKW-Radio nutzen (nur HF3505).
Die Wirkung des Wake-up Lights
Das Philips Wake-up Light bereitet Ihren Körper während der letzten
halben Stunde des Schlafes langsam auf das Aufwachen vor. In den frühen
Morgenstunden sind unsere Augen lichtempfindlicher als während der
Wachphasen am Tag. In dieser Phase bereitet sich der Körper dank
der relativ geringen Lichtintensität eines simulierten Sonnenaufgangs
auf das Aufwachen und Munterwerden vor. Durch die Anwendung des
Wake-up Lights werden Sie leichter wach und fühlen sich wohler und
energiegeladener. Da die Lichtempfindlichkeit bei jedem Menschen
unterschiedlich ist, können Sie die Lichtintensität Ihres Wake-up Lights so
einstellen, dass sie Ihrer Lichtempfindlichkeit für einen optimalen Start in
denTag am besten entspricht.

Die Uhrzeit einstellen
1 Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
2 Beim Anschließen beginnt die Uhr automatisch zu blinken.
,Wenn die Uhr nicht zu blinken beginnt, drücken Sie die Uhrzeittaste
an der Seite des Geräts.
,Das Uhrsymbol wird auf dem Display angezeigt.
3 Stellen Sie mit den Menütasten “+” und “-” die Stunden und Minuten
ein.
Hinweis: Sie können diesenVorgang nur durchführen, wenn Sie sich bei der
eingestellten Uhrzeit befinden und die Zeitanzeige blinkt.Wenn dies nicht der
Fall ist, drücken Sie die Uhrzeittaste erneut, um zur eingestellten Uhrzeit zu
gelangen.
4 Drücken Sie zur Bestätigung die Uhrzeittaste.
Sie können auch 5 Sekunden warten, bevor die Uhr fest eingestellt wird.
Hinweis: Immer, wenn Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, gehen die
Uhrzeiteinstellungen verloren.

Sie können diese Funktionen folgendermaßen einstellen:
Das Licht verwenden
Sie können das Gerät als Nachttischlampe benutzen.
1 Um das Licht einzuschalten, drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter für die
Lampe.
,Das Lichtsymbol wird auf dem Display angezeigt sowie die aktuelle
Lichtintensität 10.
2 Betätigen Sie zum Einstellen der Lichtintensität die Tasten “+” bzw.
“-”.
Sie können eine Lichtintensität zwischen 1 und 10 auswählen.
Hinweis: Die von Ihnen ausgewählte Lichtintensität wird automatisch auch als
Lichtintensität für die Weckfunktion gespeichert.
3 Betätigen Sie zum Ausschalten der Lampe erneut den Ein-/
Ausschalter für die Lampe.
Hinweis: Die Lichtintensität kann eingestellt werden, wenn das Licht an oder
aus ist.
Zeitformat einstellen
Sie können zwischen dem 24- und 12-Stunden-Modus
umschalten.
1 Drücken Sie die Uhrzeittaste länger als 2 Sekunden.
Wenn der 12-Stunden-Modus aktiviert ist, wird PM oder AM auf dem
Display angezeigt.
Hinweis: Um in den 24-Stunden-Modus zu schalten, drücken Sie die
Uhrzeittaste erneut länger als 2 Sekunden.
