Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchas e
of your new product. You have cho-
sen a high quality product. Familiar-
ise yourself with the product before
using it for the first time. In addition,
please carefully refer to the operat-
ing instructions and the safety advice
below. Only use the product as in-
structed and only for the indicated
field of application. Keep these in-
structions in a safe place. If you pass
the product on to anyone else, ple ase
ensure that you also pass on all the
documentation with it.
General
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
FOR USE AND STORE THEM
IN A SAFE PLACE!
These instructions for use be-
long to this 3.43m aluminium
telescopic ladder (to be referred to
subsequently as the „ladder“). They
contain important information con-
cerning safety and use.
Read the instructions for use carefully,
particularly the safety instructions,
and understand them before using
the ladder. Failure to observe these
instructions for use can result in seri-
ous injuries or damage to the ladder.
These instructions for use are based
on standards and regulations appli-
cable within the European Union.
Also observe country-specific direc-
tives and laws abroad.

Safety
Intended use
The ladder is exclusively intended for
use as a reaching assistance device
with a maximum load of 150kg. It is
only intended for private, non-com-
mercial use.
The ladder is intended exclusively for
use as a leaning ladder i.e. it must
be propped up at an inclination an-
gle of approx. 1:4 at the installation
point.

Only use the ladder as described
in these instructions for use. Any
other use is considered improper
use and may result in property
damage and/ or personal injury.
The ladder is not a toy.
The manufacturer and retailer as-
sume no liability for damages due
to improper or incorrect use.
Safety instructions
RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY!
Improper use or improper handling
of the ladder can create risks which
may result in serious injuries or even
death.
Only use the ladder if you are
in good health. Certain medical
conditions, medication and the
misuse of drugs or alcohol can
result in an increased risk to your
safety when using the ladder.
Ensure when transporting lad-
ders on roof racks or in trucks
that the ladders are attached/
f astened appropriately to prev ent
personal injuries or property
damage.
Examine the ladder after it has
been delivered and before first
use to ascertain the condition
and functionality of all parts.
Carry out a visual inspection of
the ladder for damage and safe
use at the beginning of every
work day on which the ladder
must be used.
Verify the ladder is suitable for
the respective use.
Do not use the ladder if it is
damaged.
Remove all contamination on
the ladder, such as wet paint,
dirt, oil or snow before using
the ladder.
Before using the ladder for work
a risk evaluation with considera-
tion to the national regulations
of use must be carried out.
The ladder must be set up in the
correct set up position i.e. correct
installation angle for leaning
l adders (inclination angle appr ox.
1:4), with rungs and treads hori-
zontal.
Locking devices, when applied,
must be fully secured before use.
The ladder must be placed on
a level, horizontal, immovable
surface.
A leaning ladder should be
leaned against a level, solid
surface and be secured before
use i.e. by securing the leaning

ladder and by using a suitable
piece of equipment to secure its
stability.
The ladder may never be brought
into a new position from above.
When the ladder is positioned
you must be aware of the risk of
a collision i.e. with pedestrians,
vehicles or doors. Lock all doors
and windows in the area around
the ladder where you are going
to work, but not emergency exits.
Check your environment for po-
tential hazards, i.e. high voltage
power lines or other exposed
electrical work equipment, be-
fore setting up the ladder and
getting onto it.
Always set up the ladder on its
feet and not on the rungs or steps.
Do not set up the ladder on
slippery surfaces (i.e. ice, bare
surfaces or visibly contaminated
solid surfaces) if additional
measures which would prevent
the ladder slipping or ensure the
contaminated areas are suffi-
ciently clean are not taken.
Do not exceed the ladder‘s load
capacity under any circumstan ces.
The maximum load capacity of
the ladder is 150kg.
Do not lean too far out when
you are on the ladder. You
should always stand steadily
with both feet on the same step,
keeping your body‘s core (navel)
between the side rails.
Under no circumstances should
you step off the ladder from a
great height without additional
protection. Secure the ladder or
use a suitable piece of equipment
to guarantee its stability.
Do not use the top three rungs
of the ladder as a platform.
Only use the ladder for simple
and short work.
Do not use the ladder for work
which involves electric voltage.
The ladder is made from a con-
ductive material.
Do not use the ladder outdoors
in bad weather i.e. high winds
or a storm.
Prevent children from playing
with the ladder. Do not leave
a set up ladder unattended.
Keep children away from the
ladder.
Lock all doors and windows in
the area around the ladder w here
you are going to work, but not
emergency exits.
Always face the ladder when
getting on and off the ladder.
Always hold on tight to the ladde r
with both hands when ascen-
ding or descending the ladder.

Do not use the ladder as a
bridging structure or bridge.
Wear suitable, sturdy footwear
when you get on the ladder.
Avoid work on the ladder with a
one-sided load, such as lateral
drilling through solid materials
(i.e. brick or concrete).
Do not stay for too long on the
ladder without a regular break
(fatigue is a hazard). Get off the
ladder as soon as you feel tired.
Leaning ladders for accessing
a greater height should extend
at least 1 m on from the installa-
tion point.
Do not proceed further than the
last meter of the leaning ladder.
Only transport light, manageable
objects if you are on the ladder.
Always hold on tight to the lad-
der with one hand while working,
or if this is not possible, establish
additional safeguards.
Ensure before use that the lock-
ing devices of the ladder function
and that all pulled out segments
are locked correctly before you
get up on the ladder. Only use
the ladder if it is functioning cor-
rectly.
Ensure that there are no cables
or pipes, unsecured windows
or doors or wall projections in
your vicinity before you get on
the ladder.
Do not use the ladder if one or
more slip-resistant caps for the
base are missing or are visibly
damaged.
Set up the ladder so that it is
accessible at all times.
Get up on the ladder rung by
rung. Do not skip multiple rungs.
Do not slide down the side rails.
If necessary, secure the ladder‘s
stability by taking additional
measures, i.e. by tying the ladder
to a solid anchoring.
If you wish to work at greater
heights you must secure the ladder
by taking additional measures.
Only transport the ladder when
it has been fully collapsed and
secured using the strap.
Do not move the ladder when
someone is on it.
Do not place any tools or objects
on the rungs and do not hang
anything from the ladder.
Do not pull too hard on objects
and do not exert any strong pres-
sure on objects when you are on
the ladder. The ladder could fall
over as a result.
Always wear tight-fitting clothing
when you get on the ladder.
Loose clothing can get trapped

and cause you to fall from the
ladder.
Do not extend the ladder in a
makeshift way and do not alter
its shape or function under any
circumstances.
The ladder may never be brough t
into a new position from above.
Checking the ladder
and scope of delivery
RISK OF INJURY! If you use
a damaged ladder or use the
ladder incorrectly there is a high
risk of injury.
Examine the ladder after it has
been delivered and before first
use to ascertain the condition
and functionality of all parts.
DANGER OF SUFFOCATION!
C hildren can get entangled in th e
packaging film whilst playing
and suffocate.
Do not allow children to play
with the packaging film.
NOTE!
RISK OF DAMAGE!
Opening the packaging carelessly
with a sharp knife or other sharp
objects may damage the ladder.
Be careful when opening
the packaging:
1. Remove the ladder from the
packaging.
2. Verify the scope of delivery is
complete (see Fig. A).
3. Check to see if the ladder or the
individual parts are visibly dam-
aged. Do not use the ladder if
you detect any type of damage.
Contact the manufacturer using
the service address stated on the
warranty card.
Assembling the base
CAUTION! RISK OF PER-
SONAL INJURY AND
PROPERTY DAMAGE!
The ladder can fall over while
the base is being assembled.
This can lead to personal injury
or property damage.
Ensure that the ladder does not
fall over while the base is being
assembled.

If necessary, ask another person
to help you assemble the produ ct.
1. Place the base 2on the
ground (see Fig. H).
2. Put the side rails onto the base 6
in such a way that the mounting
holes of the side rails and the
base are aligned.
3. Insert the hexagonal bolt 9
through the mounting holes.
4. Fix the screws with the nuts
provided.
ATTENTION!
The following points are to
be examined before using
the telescopic ladder:
Check that the side rails/ legs
(upright parts) are not bent,
c urved, distorted, dented, cracked ,
corroded or decaying.
Check that the fixation points w ith
other parts on the side rails/legs
are in good condition.
Check that fastenings (usually
rivets, screws, bolts) are not
missing or loose or corroded.
Check that the side rails/legs/
tr averses are not missing or loo se,
worn down, corroded or dam-
aged.
Check that the locking mecha-
nisms and locking indicators
function correctly and that the
rung elements lock correctly.
Check that no rubber feet are
missing or loose, worn down,
corroded or damaged.
Check that the ladder is free
from contamination (i.e. dirt,
paint, oil or grease).
If any of the examinations described
above produces an unsatisfactory re-
sult you should NOT use the ladder!
Using the ladder
RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY!
If you use the ladder incorrectly,
you could injure yourself or other
people.
Only get onto the ladder if:
•you have set it up correctly in a
suitable location and according
to the instructions,
• are wearing sturdy shoes,
•have carefully read and under-
stood all the information in the
chapter “safety“.
Ensure before use that the lock-
ing devices of the ladder function
and that all pulled out segments

are locked correctly before you
get onto the ladder.
Do not leave children alone and
unattended with the set up ladd er.
Do not step on the top three
rungs of the ladder.
Ensure that the ladder is correctly
secured if you reposition it.
Only get on the ladder if you
have positioned it at the correct
angle of 75° (inclination angle
1:4).
CAUTION! CRUSHING
HAZARD!
If you do not exercise caution
when pulling out or collapsing
the ladder you could trap or
crush your fingers.
Exercise caution when pulling
out or collapsing the ladder.
Ensure that your fingers, hands
and arms are at the same height
as the release buttons which have
been pressed when collapsing
the ladder.
Locking device
The individual ladder segments are
locked when you pull out the ladder
by means of the locking devices on
the rungs 5.
Always check whether
all the pulled out segme nts
have been locked cor-
rectly before you get
onto the ladder:
•The locking device of a segment
has been locked when the red
section beside both release but-
tons 1of a rung is no longer
visible (see Fig. B).
If you exert pressure on any rung
it will not be pushed down.
•The locking device of a segment
has not been locked when the
red section beside one or both
of the release buttons 1of a
rung is visible (see Fig. C).
If you exert pressure on any rung
it will be pushed down.
Ensure when you are pulling
out the ladder from the top
downwards that the individual
sections are only locked when
you have pulled out the ladder
to its total length.
Pulling out the ladder
Pulling out the ladder by
a few rungs
If you do not pull out the
ladder to its total length,
the block formation of the remaining

rungs which have not been pulled
out must be located at the top of
the ladder.
1. Place the ladder on a firm and
level surface.
2. Stabilise the ladder by putting
a foot on the base 2.
3. Pull out the ladder rung by rung
from the bottom upwards until
you have achieved the desired
length (see Fig. D).
By means of the locking device,
each section is automatically
locked as soon as the respec-
tive rung 5has been pulled
out to its maximum length.
4. Ensure that every ladder seg-
ment is locked before you get
on the ladder (see the chapter
“Locking device“).
Pulling the ladder out
to its total length
1. Place the ladder on a firm and
level surface.
2. Stabilise the ladder by putting
a foot on the base 2.
3. Pull out both of the top side rail
elements with the spacer 10 . En-
sure that the side rail elements
are locked.
4. Pull out the ladder rung by rung
from the bottom upwards until
you have achieved the total
length (see Fig. E and F).
Ensure while doing so that the
locking devices of the ladder
are only locked when you have
pulled out the ladder to its total
length.
5. Ensure that every ladder seg-
ment is locked before you get
onto the ladder (see the chapter
“Locking device“).
Collapsing the ladder
If you press the bottom re-
lease buttons (on the second
rung from below) every rung of the
above ladder part will be automati-
cally unlocked and collapsed. If you
begin with one of the upper rungs,
you will only unlock the rungs above
that and the rungs below that must
be unlocked separately.
1. Ensure that the ladder is placed
on a firm and level surface.
2. Ensure that your fingers, hands
and arms are at the same height
as the release buttons when col-
lapsing the ladder.
3. Press both of the release buttons
of a rung to the centre so that

the red section under it becomes
visible.
The locking device will unlock
and the rest of the ladder above
the rung will collapse.
Cleaning and maintenance
RISK OF INJURY!
If handled incorrectly there is a
risk of injury if rungs or side rails
are contaminated. You could
easily slip, fall off the ladder and
injury yourself.
Keep the ladder clean. Remove
all contamination on the ladder,
such as dirt, old paint, etc. be-
fore collapsing the ladder.
Always wipe down the rungs.
Only allow repair and mainte-
nance work to be carried out
by experts.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE!
Improper cleaning can
damage the ladder.
Do not use aggressive cleaning
agents, brushes with metal or
nylon bristles, or sharp or metal
cleaning tools such as knives,
rigid scrapers, etc. These can
damage the surface.
Keep the protective caps and
slip-resistant caps of the base
free from dirt, abrasive grit, etc.
These could damage the surface.
Clean the ladder with a brush
or cloth.
Dry the ladder thoroughly after
cleaning, particularly the rungs.
Do not carry out maintenance
or repair work on the ladder by
yourself under any circumstances.
Contact the manufacturer using
the service address stated on the
warranty card or a specialist
workshop. Unauthorised repairs
or improper handling will void
all warranty and liability claims.
Transport and storage
Collapse the ladder fully after
each use and secure it with the
help of the strap 4to prevent it
from accidentally pushing apart.
Store the ladder in a dry place.
Store the ladder out of the
reach of children.
Prevent children from playing
with the ladder unsupervised.

Cause of accidents
The following is an incomplete list of
risks which describes typical hazards
and examples of common causes
of accidents when using ladders.
Take the following risks into consid-
eration as the basis for safe work
when handling the ladder to prevent
accidents.
a. Instability
1. Incorrect positioning of the lad der
(i.e. incorrect inclination angle of
leaning ladders or step ladders
not fully extended);
2. Slipping of the lower ladder end
outwards, i.e. from the wall on
which the ladder is leaning;
3. Lateral sliding of the ladder, falls
to the side and toppling of the
upper tread (i.e. by leaning too
far out or insufficient hold on
the stair);
4. Poor ladder condition (missing
or damaged rubber caps on the
base);
5. Stepping off an unsecured
ladder at a height;
6. Unsuitable surface for the ladder
installation location (i.e. unstable,
soft ground, sloping ground,
slippery surfaces or contaminated
solid surfaces);
7. Bad weather (i.e. wind);
8. Collisions with a ladder, i.e. from
vehicles or doors;
9. Wrong ladder selected (i.e.
too short ladder, improper
application).
b. Improper handling
1. Propping up the ladder in the
working position;
2. Setting up and dismantling
the ladder;
3. Carrying objects when ascend-
ing the ladder.
c. Slipping, tripping and
falling
1. Unsuitable footwear;
2. Contaminated rungs;
3.
Careless behaviour on the part of
the user (i.e. taking two steps at
once, sliding down the slide rails).
d. Ladder construction
malfunction
1. Poor ladder condition (i.e. dam-
aged side rails, wear);
2. The ladder has been overloaded.
e. Electrical hazards
1. Essential work involving electric
voltage (i.e. troubleshooting);
2. Setting up the ladder in the
direct vicinity of live electrical

work equipment (i.e. high volt-
age power lines);
3. Damage to electrical work equip-
ment by ladders (i.e. covers or
protective insulation);
4. Wrong ladder type for electrical
work.
