WARNING
Use the power adapter included with the
Pegasus J2. Using a different power adapter can
damage the device.
WARNING
Before Unplugging Thunderbolt Cable, Please be
sure to eject (unmount) the Pegasus J2 before
unplugging the Thunderbolt cable. There may
be background processes writing content to
the Pegasus J2 and prematurely unplugging the
Thunderbolt cable could lead to the loss of data.

Make the thUnderbolt connection
Connect a Thunderbolt cable to the Thunderbolt port on the Pegasus J2 (see
“J2 hardware” on page 2), and connect the other end of the cable to a
Thunderbolt port on your computer.
Important
Make sure the Thunderbolt cable connector is oriented
properly to be inserted into Thunderbolt ports on the J2 and
on the computer.

The power adapter can be used for faster data transfer. The power adapter is
shipped with seven detachable wall plug adapters suitable for most countries.
Please see page 61 of this guide for power adapter assembly instructions.
Note
It is recommended - but not
required - to establish the
Thunderbolt connection before
connecting the power.

You can check the LED indicator on the front to verify that the device is
functioning properly and to monitor the Thunderbolt connection performance.
When using the power adapter, the LED shines blue indicating a faster transfer
speed. Without the power adapter, the LED shines green indicating a slower
connection.
onthe deSktop
After connecting the J2, it appears as an icon on the Mac desktop. Double
click on the icon to open. Create folders on it or drag items to it to store them
on the J2.

ATTENTION!
If the J2 is left running (read/write) in bus mode for more than an hour,
it will feel hot. Allow the J2 to cool off for a few minutes after discon-
necting the Thunderbolt™ cable before handling it.

Connectez un câble Thunderbolt au port Thunderbolt du Pegasus J2 (voir

Verbinden Sie ein Thunderbolt-Kabel mit dem Thunderbolt-Anschluss am
Pegasus J2 (siehe „J2-hardwareh“ 14) und das andere Kabelende mit einem
Thunderbolt-Anschluss an Ihrem Computer.
Wichtig
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Thunderbolt-Kabelstecker so
ausgerichtet ist, dass er sich problemlos mit den Thunderbolt-
Anschlüssen am J2 und am Computer verbinden lässt.

Mit dem Netzteil lassen sich Datenübertragungen beschleunigen. Dem
Netzteil sind sieben abnehmbare Steckdosenadapter beigelegt, so dass er
in den meisten Ländern einsetzbar ist. Auf der Seite 61 dieser Anleitung
nden Sie Anweisungen, wie das Netzteil angeschlossen wird.
Hinweis
Wenn Sie das Netzteil
verwenden, wird empfohlen,
den Thunderbolt noch vor dem
Zuschalten der Stromversorgung
anzuschließen - ist jedoch nicht
unbedingt erforderlich.

Nach dem Anschluss an den J2 erscheint dieses Gerät als Symbol auf dem
Macintosh-Rechner. Klicken Sie das Symbol doppelt an, um es zu öffnen.
Erstellen Sie dort Ordner oder legen Sie Elemente durch Ziehen dort ab, um
sie auf dem J2 zu speichern.
Performance-LED bei voller Leistung Performance-LED im Bus-Modus

ACHTUNG!
Ist der J2 über eine Stunde lang in Betrieb gewesen (Lesen/Schreiben),
fühlt er sich heiß an. Bevor Sie den J2 anfassen, lassen Sie ihn sich
einige wenige Minuten lang abkühlen, nachdem Sie das Thunderbolt™-
Kabel abgetrennt haben.

des Thunderbolt-Anschlusses überwachen. Bei Einsatz des Netzteils leuchtet
die LED blau, was auf eine schnellere Datenübertragung hinweist. Ohne das
Netzteil leuchtet die LED grün, wodurch eine langsamere Verbindung kenntlich
gemacht wird.
