The versatile grease gun is ideal for farm, do-it-yourself and automotive
applications. It has the ability to switch between a pistol grip and lever
style as well as between high and low-pressure to accommodate different
applications. Durable, die-cast aluminum construction allows for repeated
use over a long lifespan.
WARNING! Read and understand all instructions
before using this tool. The operator must follow
basic precautions to reduce the risk of personal
injury and/or damage to the equipment.
Keep this manual for safety warnings, precautions, operating or inspection
and maintenance instructions.
1. Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your work area clean, well-
lit and free of distractions. Place lights so you are not working in a
shadow.
2. Keep anyone not wearing the appropriate safety equipment away
from the work area.
3. Store tools properly in a safe and dry location. Keep tools out of the
reach of children.
WARNING! Wear personal protective equipment
approved by the Canadian Standards Association
(CSA) or American National Standards Institute
(ANSI).
1. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front and side
protection for the eyes. Eye protection equipment should comply
with CSA Z94.3-07 or ANSI Z87.1 standards based on the type of work
performed.
2. Wear gloves that provide protection based on the work materials or
to reduce the effects of tool vibration.

3. Wear protective clothing designed for the environment and tool.
4. Non-skid footwear is recommended to maintain footing and balance
in the work environment.
Control the tool, personal movement and the work environment to avoid
personal injury or damage to the tool.
1. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medications.
2. Avoid wearing clothes or jewelry that can become entangled with the
moving parts of a tool. Keep long hair covered or bound.
3. Do not overreach when operating the tool. Proper footing and balance
enables better control in unexpected situations.
4. Securely hold this tool using both hands. Using a tool with only one
hand can result in loss of control.

treatment if grease penetrates your skin. It may
feel like a pricking or sting. Do not wait for the
appearance of symptoms. A toxic reaction can occur
from the exposure. Delay in treatment can lead to
amputation or death.

Inform the medical staff that you have a grease penetration injury as soon
as you arrive at the medical facility. The severity of the symptoms will
depend on the type of grease injected. Bring the Safety Data Sheet for the
grease with you to the medical facility if possible.
Grease can penetrate the skin at 100 PSI pressure. Grease escaping under
pressure from the tool has sufficient force to penetrate your clothing and skin.
Follow the precautions below to avoid an injection injury.
1. Always check for leaks wearing a face shield, safety goggles,
rubberized gloves and protective clothes.
2. Release all pressure from the system before you inspect it.
3. Do not use your hands to detect a fluid leak. Use a large piece of
wood, cardboard or paper and watch for discolouration.
4. Replace damaged parts with identical manufacturer's components to
ensure it is rated to handle the pressure.
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is
missing. Replace the missing part before
operating. Failure to do so could result in a
malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for damage.
Make sure that all items in the contents are included.

Tools needed:
•14 mm (9/16 in.) spanner
•12 mm (0.472 in.) spanner
1. Connect the extension (#4) to the outlet of the grease gun head (#2).
2. Thread and tighten the grease coupler (#3) to the other end of the
extension.
3. Whether using the rigid pipe or flexible hose, place a thread sealant,
such as PTFE tape, on the connection to ensure it is seal-proof
connection. (DO NOT over tighten as this may fracture the outlet.)
CAUTION! Grease or empty cartridges within the
barrel are under pressure from internal spring. Be
alert when removing the head of the barrel.
This 2-in-1 grease gun can be loaded in 4 different unique ways.
Follow the below instructions for each to load the grease gun.
1. Pull the plunger handle (#6) to its maximum distance and lock it in
place.
2. Remove the grease gun head by turning it counterclockwise.
3. Insert the open of the cartridge (not included) into the grease gun
barrel (Fig. 1).
4. Push the cartridge all the way into the barrel.
5. Remove the seal or pull the tab at the
end of the cartridge.
6. Replace and secure the grease gun head
on the barrel by threading and turning
clockwise.

1. Pull the plunger handle to its maximum
distance and lock it in place.
2. Remove the grease gun head by turning
it counterclockwise.
3. Fill the grease gun barrel with grease
using appropriate tool, such as a spatula
(not included) (Fig. 2).
4. Replace and secure the grease gun head on the barrel by threading
and turning clockwise.

grease bucket, submerging it only 2 in.
deep.
3. Pull the plunger handle to its maximum
distance and lock it in place (Fig. 3).
4. Replace and secure the grease gun head on the barrel by threading
and turning clockwise.

2. Insert the bulk loader valve (#9) into the
filler pump socket (not included).
3. Operate the filler pump to the fill the
grease gun barrel (Fig. 4).
4. Disconnect the grease gun from the filler pump.
A common occurrence with all grease equipment is trapped air pockets in
grease. Trapped air causes zero or reduced grease discharge.
To accomplish this, follow the instructions below.

1. When reassembling the grease gun after loading with any of the
above methods, ensure that the grease gun head is 2 or 3 turns from
being fully tightened.
2. Release the plunger rod (#7) by pushing down on the plunger handle.
3. Move the plunger rod forward and backward.
4. Operate the grease gun continuously until grease is discharged from
the coupler.
5. Tighten the grease gun head fully to the barrel.

2. Tap the manual air release valve (#8).
3. Move the plunger rod forward and backward.
4. Operate the grease gun continuously until grease is discharged from
the coupler.
5. Again tap the manual air release valve.
Two different handle configurations are
available for this grease fun:
•Pistol mode: ideal for small spaces and
low pressure applications
•Lever mode: ideal for open spaces and
high pressure applications
To convert the grease gun from pistol mode to
lever mode, follow the instructions below.
1. Press the trigger (Fig. 5-1).
2. Pull on the handle (Fig. 6-1).
Reverse these steps to convert the grease gun
from lever mode to pistol mode.

This mode helps you achieve max. working pressure with minimal strokes.
1. Pull on the button (#10) (Fig. 7).
2. While pulling the button, push the lever towards the grease gun
barrel (Fig. 8-1).
This mode helps you achieve max. output with less greasing time.
1. Pull on the button.
2. While pulling the button, pull the lever away from the grease gun
barrel (Fig. 9-1).
The provided grease coupler for this grease gun has a jaw-
type construction, which snaps onto grease fittings to
maintain a tight fit.
To grease a fitting or nipple, accomplish the following:
1. Connect the grease coupler to the grease fitting.
2. Press firmly and directly to ensure a tight connection
(Fig. 10-1).
3. Operate the grease gun with the coupler as
aligned to the fitting as possible.
4. Once greasing is completed, remove by slightly
tilting the grease coupler (Fig. 11-1) and then
twisting and pulling back (Fig. 11-2).

1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient,
easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged
or worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when
servicing.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool.
5. Check tool and extensions (especially flexible hose) for wear before
each use.
6. Regularly check the grease nipples, bearings and tool for damage
caused by excess pressure at the greasing point.
7. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important
information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for
replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should
repair the tool. An improperly repaired tool may
present a hazard to the user and/or others.
Ensure the tools and all of its components are cleaned after each use and
remain clean before each operation.
Inspect and lubricate the tool when required. Only use light oil to lubricate
the tool. Other lubricants may not be suitable and could damage the tool
or cause a malfunction during use.
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to
the steel parts to avoid rust. Remove the lubricant before using the tool
again.
NOTICE! NEVER use a penetrating oil to lubricate
the tool. Penetrating oil may act as a solvent
that will break down the grease and cause the tool
to seize up.
