Disassemble the Keypad

2. Insert a wide at-head screw-driver into each
of the two lugs on the underside of the keypad
(as shown above).
3. Lever the screwdriver as shown in the
direction above to open the cover.

is a bottom keypad cover supplied that can be

Addressing the keypad / Entering the keypad menu / PGM
To enter the keypad menu, press and hold the ‘D’ key until ‘KEYPAD CODE’ is displayed
and enter code ‘2000’. ‘ADDRESS’ will be displayed, use the number keys to enter the
desired address. The keypad also needs to be enabled in the engineers menu, please
follow instructions in the control panels Programming manual and the function is ‘Assign
Keypads/Readers’. Press the key to scroll through the different keypad options. press
the ‘A’ key to save the changes.
At default the keypad output is set as “speaker” and the volume is controlled by the
‘master volume’ option in the keypad menu. To program the keypad as anything else
please see the control panels programming manual and the function ‘Change Outputs’.

The Keypad Menu
Contact Details
The tag reader can be used to program tags to
be used for setting / unsetting. This is done in the
‘CHANGE CODES’ submenu of the Manager Menu,
for more details please see the control panels User
Manual. When presenting a tag, please make sure it
is presented in the area marked shown to the right,
when it is acknowledged a ‘beep’ will be heard.

To enter the keypad menu - press and hold the ‘D’ key and enter ‘2000’. Press the
key to scroll to the next item, and use the ‘D’ key to change the option. The menu items
are as follows:
ADDRESS: Keypad address
LANGUAGE: Use the ‘D’ key to scroll through the languages
ZONE STATUS: The status of both inputs on the keypad
KEYCLICK VOLUME: The volume of the key press sound
TAG VOLUME: The volume of the tag sound
MASTER VOLUME: Overall volume and speaker output sound
TAG ID: Gives the identication of a tag when presented
FACTORY RESET: Enter ‘2000’ to reset the defaults of the keypad
BACKLIGHT FORCE: 0 = ON for 20 secs. 1 = ON all the time.
PA/FIRE TIMER: The number of seconds that keys 1 and 7 must be pressed in order to
sound an activation.
Press the ‘A’ key to exit the menu.
