User Instructions

Intended Use / User Advisory
The shower stool is for use in household and in-
patient areas. It serves to assist the physically
impaired by increasing independence during
showering. Despite its optimum sitting comfort, the
chair is not suited for long term sitting.
Have your specialised dealer or care provider
to advise you on using the shower stool and its
adjustment for proper function!
First-time Use
The shower stool is ready to be used.
When using the Turin shower stool for the first
time, the following points must be strictly observed:
Model “Turin” (adjustable stool
legs):
Remove the adjustment clips (A)
by simply pulling them off.
Set the lower foot (B) to the
desired height.
Re-attach the adjusting clips (A).
Danger of falling!
Be sure all stool legs are set at the same height!
Care
All plastic parts may be easily cleaned using a mild
commercially available plastic cleanser. Observe
instructions for use.
For the aluminium tubing, wiping it with a moist
cloth is sufficient in most cases, and then wipe dry.
Inadequate or negligent care and maintenance
leads to limitations or annulment of product liability
by the Manufacturer.
Reuse
The product is intended for reuse. The reuse (life)
depends on the product state. Before the re-use of
the device maintenance must be carried out and
the appropriate instructions to security, care and
maintenance must be observed.
This review shall exclude a possible improper use
caused by obvious or invisible damage. Please
refer to the Medical Device Directive (MDD) and
the regulation for operator (MPBetreibV).
Life
The expected life of the products listed in this
manual when used in accordance with safety
instructions, maintenance intervals and care
instructions is 3 years.
Beyond this period, the product can be set used
only in a safe condition. Maintenance should be
done at least every six months. Specific
requirements of the product, due to the use of the
patient, causing shorter maintenance intervals.
Safety Instructions
Be sure the maximum allowable weight for
the shower stool is not exceeded!
Before each use, carefully check the shower
stool over for damage. If damage is detected,
then do not use the shower stool.
Danger of falling!
Check to be sure of the following before using:
Seat is firmly secured
Stool is on a stable surface
Adjustment clip (Turin) for height
adjustment
Do not carry the shower stool with a patient on it.
Use the shower stool only inside and on solid
even surfaces.
After a long period of non-use:
Have the shower stool checked over by a
qualified specialist.
Proper Disposal
A defective or a used shower stool does not
belong in the household rubbish. Contact your
waste disposal services for enquiring of its proper
disposal.
Warranty
The products listed in this manual are provided
with a warranty of 24 months. Wear parts and
damages of the products due to improper use are
excluded.
Advisory
Always keep the User Instructions in case of future
use. For complaints or questions, always provide
the model, serial no. and the user Instruction no.
