FOREWORD.
Congratulations on the purchase of your EASY-SPREAD. To ensure the safe and lasting
operations of this EASY-SPREAD you (and anyone using the machine) should read and
understand this user's manual. A complete knowledge of the contents of the manual is necessary
in order to ensure the safe use of this machine.
The EASY-SPREAD is not an independently operating machine. It is the responsibility of the user
to use the correct tractor.The user will also need to check the tractor / EASY-SPREAD
combination on safety aspects, noise level, user instructions and risk analysis.
On the following page, we will begin with the safety instructions. Every user must be familiar with
these instructions and must follow them carefully. Below you will find a registration card, which
should be returned to us so that we are able to process any future claims.
In this manual, many instructions are given which are stated in a number sequence. The user
must follow the instructions according to this sequence. If the * appears this refers to safety
instructions. If the @ is used, this refers to a tip and/ or note.
GUARANTEE CONDITIONS.
THIS EASY-SPREAD PRODUCT IS DELIVERED TO THE CUSTOMER ACCOMMPANIED BY A
GUARANTEE AGAINST DEFECTS IN THE MATERIALS USED. THIS GUARANTEE APPLIES
FOR A PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS AS OF THE DATE OF PURCHASE.
EASY-SPREAD GUARANTEES ARE SUBJECTED TO THE "GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR
SUPPLY OF PLANT AND MACHINERY FOR EXPORT, NUMBER 188", WHICH ARE
PUBLISHED UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC COMMISSION
FOR EUROPE.

! SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS !

The Easy Spread was designed such that it can be
used safely. But this is only possible if the user
completely follows the safety instructions as they are
given in this handbook.
Read and understand (Fig. 1) the handbook before
beginning to use the Easy Spread.
If the machine is not used as described in the
handbook, injury and/or damage to the Easy Spread
may result.
(1) The Easy Spread is intended solely for spreading finely grained materials (sand, gravel
or comparable products).
Any other use is considered incorrect use. The manufacturer accepts no liability
whatsoever with regard to damage resulting from such incorrect use; all resulting risks
are completely for the account of the user.
Correct use also includes following the manufacturer’s usage, maintenance and repair
instructions.
(2) The Easy Spread was constructed according to the latest technical knowledge and is
safe to use.
If the machine is used, maintained or repaired by inexpert persons, this may result in
injury to both the user and third parties.
Always use the Easy Spread in combination with the proper tractor as described in the technical
data.
(3) All persons whom the owner assigns to operate, maintain or repair the Easy Spread
must read and have completely understood the operating handbook and in particular the
chapter Safety Instructions.
The user is responsible for a safe tractor/Easy Spread combination. This entire unit
must be tested in terms of noise, risk, and user convenience. In addition user’s
instructions must be prepared.
(4) Before using the Easy Spread, the user is obliged to inspect it in terms of
visible damage and defects.
Changes in the Easy Spread (including its functioning) that have a negative effect on it in
terms of safety must be corrected immediately.
For reasons of safety, it is in principle forbidden to make changes in or additions to the
Easy Spread (with the exception of those approved by the manufacturer).
Before each use, inspect the Easy Spread for loose bolts/nuts.
Inspect the hydraulic hoses regularly and replace them if they are damaged or show
signs of wear. The replacement hoses must meet the manufacturer’s technical
specifications.
Before any work is done on it, the hydraulic installation must always be made pressure-
free.
The Easy Spread must not be used if its protective covers and safety stickers are
absent.
NEVER crawl under the Easy Spread.

Before carrying out maintenance, adjustments and repairs always first switch off the tractor
motor and remove the tractor key from the ignition (Fig. 2)

Block the Easy Spread against dropping and against driving/being pushed away.
NEVER step off the tractor when the motor is still running.
For maintenance or repairs use only original Easy Spread parts.
Only authorised technical personnel may carry out adjustment and repair work on the
Easy Spread.
Maintain an overview of repairs.
(5) In addition to the instructions in this user’s handbook, the generally applicable safety and
health at work guidelines of your country must also be followed.
For use on public roads the relevant guidelines of the Highway Code also apply.
The transport of persons is not permitted!
Do not use the Easy Spread when it is dark, during heavy rain/ storms, or on slopes with an
angle greater than 20 degrees.
(6) Before beginning to work, all persons who will operate the Easy Spread must be familiar
with all its functions and operating elements.
Link the Easy Spread to the vehicle that will pull it according to the instructions (Danger
of injury!)
Before driving off check to see if you have a good view both nearby and far away.
While the Easy Spread is in operation, no one must step on the loading bucket. (fig.3)

There are stickers on either side of the Easy Spread on the sideboard. These stickers
must always be clearly visible and legible and must be replaced if they become
damaged.
During operation no persons must be in the danger area of the Easy Spread, because
there is a threat of bodily injury by rotating parts and objects flying about. Remain at
least 4 metres away! (fig 4)

Be aware of the permitted coupling load of the vehicle pulling it.
Wear suitable clothing. Wear sturdy shoes with a steel tip, long trousers, keep long hair tied up
and wear no loose articles of clothing.
If any changes are made in the machine its CE certificate becomes null and void, and the
user/dealer must re-certify it himself.

Used oil is harmful to the environment; dispose of this according to locally applicable

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Easy Spread is intended solely for spreading finely grained materials (sand, gravel,
or comparable products).
The spreading drum and mixing shaft of the Easy Spread are driven by a hydraulic motor
and 2 chain transmissions; one for the spreading drum and one for the mixing shaft.
The speed of the hydraulic motor can be set infinitely variably using the dosing regulator.
In this way, the material to be scattered can be precisely dosed in combination with the
dosing valve.
The spreading density c.q. the spreading quantity can be regulated on the basis of the
driving speed, the speed of the spreading drum, and the position of the dosing valve.

FIRST INSTALLATION, REMOVING THE MACHINE FROM THE PALLET
The machine is located vertically on the pallet. To remove the machine from the pallet and
place it horizontally on the ground, take the following steps. (See Fig. 6 and Fig. 7)
1. Fasten a cable to the lifting point. (See 1 Fig. 6)
* Be sure that the cable/hoist/lift can lift at least 800 Kg.
2. Lift the machine a bit in order to take the pressure off the pins (See 2 Fig. 6).
3. Remove the pins. (See 2 Fig. 6).
4. Lift the machine up so that it comes free of the pallet.
* Do not crawl under the machine.
5. Remove the pallet.
6. Let the machine drop slowly to the ground onto its round bottom.
7. Allow the machine to slowly drop further down until it is in a horizontal position. (See
Fig. 7)
* Be careful; the machine can shift!
8. Disconnect the cable from the lifting point. (See 1 Fig. 6)

OPERATION
TO CHECK BEFORE EACH USE
- Inspect Easy Spread for visible damage and make necessary repairs for safety
reasons.
- Inspect bolts/nuts.
- Check the hydraulic components for leaks/damage.
CONNECTING TO THE TRACTOR
The Easy Spread can be connected to the tractor using the standard CAT 1
3-point fastening.
It can be connected as follows:
1. The Easy Spread lies horizontally as described on page 9.
2. Drive the tractor carefully in reverse so that the low connection arms can be
connected to the frame.
3. Connect the low connection arms to the 3-point connection plates using the
included pins. (See 2 Fig.9)
4. Lock the pins using the included locking springs.
5. Remove the standard topmost connection from the tractor.
6. If the cylinder has not yet been slid out:
a. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the hydraulic output of the tractor.
@ Be sure that the connections are clean.
b. Place the valve handle in position A. (See 1 Fig. 10)
c. Sit on the tractor.
d. Start the tractor.
e. Activate the hydraulic output of the tractor.
f. The cylinder slides out.
g. *Switch the tractor off before stepping off it!
7. Fasten the cylinder to the connection point of the tractor. (See 2 Fig. 9).
8. Position the top cylinder such on the Easy Spread that it can reach its full
work area (depending on the type of tractor). (Fig. 8)
9. If this has not yet been done: connect the hydraulic hoses to the hydraulic
output of the tractor.
@Be sure that the connections are clean.
10. Be sure that the connection pins of the 3-point connection are locked.
11. See if any hoses are doubled/jammed.
12. Lift the Easy Spread carefully up to its vertical position by activating the
hydraulic output of the tractor.
*While doing this be sure that the tractor is not damaged if the cylinder
is improperly adjusted. (See point 8).
13. Check whether the Easy Spread is functioning properly.

LOADING THE EASY SPREAD
The procedure for loading the Easy Spread is as follows:
1. See to it that the Easy Spread is lying in a horizontal position:
a. Place the valve handle in position A. (See 1 Fig. 10).
b. Activate the hydraulic output of the tractor; the cylinder slides out.
2. Let the low connection arms of the lifting unit drop down.
3. Drive the tractor in reverse with the scoop in the material to be loaded.
* Fill from the edge of the pile of the material to be loaded.
* Lifting an excessive quantity of material can damage the Easy Spread.
4. Place the Easy Spread in a vertical position by activating the hydraulic output of
the tractor.
@ While doing this keep the bottom of the Easy Spread on the ground until it
is standing vertically. This results in a better lift load for the tractor.
5. Lift the Easy Spread carefully with the aid of the lifting unit of the tractor.
*If there are doubts about the stability of the Easy Spread – tractor
combination: install front weights on the nose of the tractor.
SPREADING
Operating elements:
The following are important with regard to setting the spreading density:
1. The speed of the pulling vehicle.
2. The speed of the drum.
3. The front opening of the dosing valve.
Before you can begin spreading, the Easy Spread must be adjusted in a stationary manner
for the desired spreading density.
Carry out this procedure on solid ground:
1. Set the desired front opening of the dosing valve using the handle. (See 1
Fig.12). The handle can be positioned in 10 positions.
2. Set the speed of the drum.
a. Place the handle (see 1 Fig.11) in position B.
b. Regulate the speed of the drum infinitely variably with the control
valve. (See 2 fig.11).

UNHOOKING THE TRACTOR
Unhook the tractor as follows:
1. Be sure that the Easy Spread is lying horizontally. Do this as follows:
• Place the handle in position A. (See 1 Fig.13).
• Activate the hydraulic output of the tractor; the cylinder slides out.
2. Allow the low connection arms of the lifting unit to drop slowly until the Easy Spread is
on the ground.
*Be certain that the Easy Spread is in a stable position on the ground.
3. Switch off the tractor.
4. Disconnect the cylinder from the connection point of the tractor. (See 1 Fig.14).
5. Sit on the tractor and start it.
6. Slide the cylinder in.
7. Disconnect the pins from the bottom fastening points of the Easy Spread. (See 2
Fig.14).
8. Disconnect the hydraulic hoses.
@ Be sure that the Easy Spread is empty before it is disconnected.
Leftover material can become hard and damage the moving parts of the Easy
Spread.
@ If you are using salt for icy roads, grit, or similar materials for spreading it is very
important that the Easy Spread be sprayed clean after use in order to prevent
rusting.

MAINTENANCE
Placement in operation
- Check the bolts/nuts
- Check the hydraulic system for leaks/damage.
- Carefully check the machine and see if there
is any damage elsewhere.
After the first 20 hours of operation
(new or repaired).
- Check the bolts/nuts.
- Check the tension of the drive chain of the spreading
drum/ mixing shaft.
- Inspect the hydraulic system for leaks/damage.
- Carefully check the machine and see if there is any
damage elsewhere.
After each 100 hours of operation. - Check the tension of the drive chain of the spreading
drum/ mixing shaft.
- Grease the drive chains of the spreading drum/mixing shaft.
- Check the bolts/nuts.
- Inspect the hydraulic system for damage.
- Carefully check the machine and see if there is any
damage elsewhere.
Maintenance and repair
Tension and lubricate the drive chain (every 100 operating hours).
The procedure to tension the drive chain of the spreading drum is as follows:
1. Remove the bolts from the protective cover. (See 1 Fig.15).
2. Remove the protective cover. (See 2 Fig.15).
3. Loosen the nuts on the base plate. (See 1 Fig.16).
4. Turn the base plate until the right chain tension is reached.
* Do not make the chain too tight; this might cause unnecessary and
excessive wear on the moving parts.
5. Tighten the nuts on the base plate again.
6. Grease the chain with chain lubricant.
7. Place the protective cover. (See 2 Fig.15).
8. Attach the bolts to the protective cover. (See 1 Fig.15).

The procedure for tensioning the drive chain of the mixing shaft is as follows:
1. Remove the bolts from the protective cover. (See 1 Fig.17).
2. Remove the protective cover. (See 2 Fig.17).
3. Loosen the nuts from the two base plates on both sides. (See 1 Fig.18 & 1
Fig.19).
4. Turn the base plate until the right chain tension is reached.
* Do not make the chain too tight; this might cause unnecessary and
excessive wear on the moving parts.
5. Tighten the nuts on the two base plates again. (See 1 Fig.18 & 1 Fig.19).
6. Grease the chain with chain lubricant.
7. Place the protective cover. (See 2 Fig.17).
8. Place the bolts on the protective cover. (See 1 Fig.17).
