CPDWW Power Drive
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Thecordlesspowerdrivecanbeset-upforvalveoperatingor
drilling/tapping,dependingontheadapterused.
ADAPTER INSTALLATION/REMOVAL
PowerdriveadapterssuchasTMPDAandVOKUCLUTCHsnap
intothepowerdrive.Pushadaptersquarelyintopowerdrive
openinguntilthespring-loadedpawlscatchsecurely.Toremove
theadapter,pushadapteroutofthepowerdrive.Alargeamount
offorcemayberequiredtoactuatethespring-loadedpawlsto
release the adapter.
NOTE: Adapters can only be installed/removed in only one
direction.
SWITCH OPERATION
The power switch is a red switch located on the top of the handle.
Ithas3positions:OFF,ONandLocked.TheOFFpositionis
towardthebatteryandtheONpositionisawayfromthebattery.
Ifpressureisremovedfromtheswitch,itwillreturntotheOFF
position.WhentheswitchisintheONposition,theswitchcan
berolledfartherbypressingthesideoftheswitchawayfromthe
batteryandlockingtheswitchintheONposition.Presstheside
of the switch toward the battery to release the lock.
GEAR SELECTOR OPERATION
Thecordlesspowerdrivehasaforwardandareversegear.The
gearselectorisbelowthecarryinghandle.Pushingthegearse-
lector toward the power switch will put the power drive in reverse
and away from the switch for forward. When the power drive is
off,thegearselectormaynotbeabletomoveallthewayintothe
desired position; do not force the selector. If the selector will not
move fully into the desired position, the power drive can be turned
onandoffquicklytoallowtheselectortobepositionedproperly.
NOTE: The gear selector may be moved while the power drive is
on but unloaded. Changing gears while the power drive is under
load may damage the gearbox.
TOOL USE AND CARE
1. Do not force the tool. Use the correct tool for your application.
The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for
whichitisdesigned.
2. DonotusethetoolifswitchdoesnotturnitONorOFF.Any
toolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchisdangerousand
must be repaired.
3. Disconnectthebatteryfromthetoolbeforemakingany
adjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringthetool.Such
preventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthetool
accidentally.
4. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained
persons.Toolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrained
users.
5. Maintaintoolswithcare.Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean.
Properlymaintainedtoolswithsharpcuttingedgesareless
likely to bind and are easier to control.
6. Checkformisalignmentorbindingofmovingparts,breakage
ofparts,andanyotherconditionthatmayaffectthetool’s
operation.Ifdamaged,havethetoolservicedbeforeusing.
Accidentscanbecausedbypoorlymaintainedtools.
7. Use only accessories that are recommended by the
manufacturerforyourmodel.Accessoriesthatmaybesuitable
for one tool may become hazardous when used on
another tool.
SERVICE
1. Toolservicemustbeperformedonlybyqualiedrepair
personnel.Serviceormaintenanceperformedbyunqualied
personnel could result in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
TheOperator’sManualcontainsspecicsafetyinformationand
instructionsforyourprotectionagainstseriousinjuriesincluding:
• Lossofngers,hands,armsorotherbodypartsifclothingor
glovesgetcaughtinmovingparts.
• Electricalshockorburnsfromcontactwithwires,motoror
other power drive parts.
• Impactinjuries,includingbrokenbonesifmachinetipsoveror
workpiece falls.
• Eyeinjuries,includingbeingblindedbytheworkpieceorwork
piece chips.
• Readandfollowthesafetylabelsonthemachine.
Knowthelocationandfunctionsofallcontrolsbeforeusing
the tool.
