Product Description
The Reliable Model GL112 is a standard coverage, Quick
Response sprinkler utilizing a levered fusible alloy solder
link in 165°F (74°C) or 212°F (100°C). The sprinkler has
been designed to control high challenge fires in both pallet-
ized and rack storage occupancies, utilizing relatively low
water pressures. This sprinkler is available with ¾” NPT or
ISO7-1R3/4 threads.

Maintenance
Model GL112 QR Sprinklers should be inspected and
the sprinkler system maintained in accordance with NFPA
25. Do not clean sprinklers with soap and water, ammo-
nia or any other cleaning fluids. Remove dust by using
a soft brush or gentle vacuuming. Remove any sprinkler
which has been painted (other than factory applied) or
damaged in any way. A stock of spare sprinklers should
be maintained to allow quick replacement of damaged or
operated sprinklers. Prior to installation, sprinklers should
be maintained in the original cartons and packaging until
used to minimize the potential for damage to sprinklers
that would cause improper operation or non-operation.

Installation
Reliable’s Model GL112 QR sprinkler must be installed
according to NFPA Standards or the appropriate FM
Global Data Sheets for all area/density methods of design
as well as the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Use only
the Model H sprinkler wrench for sprinkler removal and
installation. Any other type of wrench may damage the
sprinkler.
Note: Sprinklers should be tightened between 14-20 ft/
lbs (19-27,1 N-m) torque. Sprinklers not tightened to
recommended torque may cause leakage or impairment
of the sprinklers. Damage sprinklers must be replaced
immediately.
