Operating in the field
zUse the machine when conditions allow, i.e. Not too wet or too dry.
zDuring work, if the implement is to be used as a Grassland Harrow - use the tractor
lift to give 5 to 7.5 centimetres (2 to 3 inches) clearance between framework and
ground thus gaining full use of the mat. Allowing the frame to drag on the ground
could result in damage to the implement.
If using the implement to level out gravel areas, manéges, equestrian arenas etc.
lower the frame to within 2.5 to 5 centimetres (1 to 2 inches) clear of the ground to
allow the frame to work as a levelling bar..
zWorking speed 3 - 4.5 mph (5 - 7 kph).
Introduction and Intended Use
The Ritchie Mounted Harrow - models 822g has been designed for, and is intended
to be used for the renovation of pasture land, and for levelling gravel areas, manéges,
and equestrian arenas etc.
Deviations from the intended use should not take place without the notice
and approval of David Ritchie (Implements) Ltd.
